Having never been to a Tropical Smoothie Cafe preciously, I didn't know what it expect. (Based on the name), I figured they had a TON of different smoothies... Our daughter got a free smoothie coupon from school so we stopped there around 3:30pm after picking her up. I was a little shocked there were only 4 kids smoothie options to choose from: strawberry lime, strawberry banana, an orange one and a chocolate banana one. I scanned the menu for more smoothies but it seemed like there were a lot of food options and minimal smoothies. I actually never even found the adult smoothies in the menu board. We went through the drive through. There was one car in front of us and there was a bit of a wait (under 5 minutes). Employee was friendly. Peeked in and the interior looked really cool. I had a craving for a smoothie yesterday, and Tropical Smoothie Cafe sure did the trick. I love a traditional strawberry banana smoothie. It was balanced and pretty good overall--not the best one ever, but definitely a solidly good smoothie. My husband enjoyed his mango pineapple smoothie as well. I also ordered a chicken pesto flatbread. That was much better than I expected as well. Went here for the first time. There were 3 cars ahead of me when I got in line. It took 10 mini for the car to move up so I could order. By this time it was too late to back up. It took 45 minutes to get 5 smoothies. Needless to say the food I grabbed at Chick-fil-a was cold by the time I got everything home. Not sure what the hold up was but it took entirely way too long to make a few smoothies. And the car in front of me only had one smoothie. I go to Tropical Smoothie pretty often, went last week and ordered a wrap and smoothie. Took forever, the guy at the window had press on nails that he did not file and literally poked me with one of them. If you are going to wear nails please file them!! So I'm transplant local and this is a go-to spot! There is usually a long line at lunch, so I order in the app (scoring points this way too!) and go pick it up at the locker inside. The staff is always nice, I've never had a reason to complain with the exception of missing edible straws lol! They've always been so accommodating and offer so many other options when they're out of an ingredient! They've never judged my weird smoothie combos or entree additions when I'm feeling creative! I absolutely love that they have seasonal selections too, it forces me to keep trying new items! Don't get me wrong, I will always default to the Bahama Mamma smoothie, cut the white chocolate and add Collagen, but I've given the Pumpkin a go this season as well (not a fan, but I also frown on Pumpkin lattes, soooo keep that in mind!) If you eat in, the bar is nice and it's always very clean, open air feeling and seems like people are always welcoming. Something about smoothies and flatbread keep people mellow lol! The smoothies are also excellent and very filling. You get a flatbread, smoothie, and side (kale/apple slaw, chips, or fruit) for ~$10. Great place for a quick bite that's healthy. Not too much seating on the inside, so get there a little earlier than usual or later for lunch. The owner was there when we went, he introduced himself and gave us a coupon so we went back the following week for a smoothie. The only downside would be, there isn't a fountain machine for soda or anything. So you either get a bottled water or a smoothie. We have been back a few times and it's always great!
