This little spot is always crowded in the evening hours. I understand... they serve cold sweet treats in this West Texas Heat. I Initially did not want to try it, because I am very particular about my smoothies / shakes. The person I went with insisted I try something. I gave in and tried their mango smoothie. I was quite disappointed, because it was what I expected. There was so much ice in the smoothie that I barely tasted any sweetness or flavor of mango. It was hard to drink through the straw and letting it go out a little bit just made it water down because of all the ice. I'm not too eager to go here again. But many people seem to like it... As I've stated previously... I don't like giving negative reviews; however as a business owner and previous restaurant owner - I get no pleasure in giving negative feedback in ANYONE'S business. 11/28/2020 - I wanted an Acái bowl (seen it in the menu online). I called to see if I can place an order prior too because it was 10:01 PM and their listing states they close at 10:30 PM. Called 5 times and absolutely no answer. Since we were only 5 mins away, we assumed they were closed and just didn't adjust their hours online. As we arrived, lights were on, OPEN sign was on, inside lights were on. We drove to the window (because it was a drive through). We get to the window and they WERE open and there were 3 ladies in there! I'm thinking to myself - Why didn't they answer the phone, they aren't busy and they are standing around, but can't answer the phone... wow! . Anyways, I asked about Acái bowl and they didn't have Acái bowl. They stated they have Acái smoothie. Then the light went out and I stated - we can't see now, light is off. She said - Come around and we will give you a menu. We drove around and I ordered an Acái smoothie 16oz w/out banana. Drove off took my first sip and it was ... ummmm... not smooth, it was gritty, with a few lumps of ice. It wasn't blended well at all. I took another few sips trying to make myself like it. Gosh - I felt like I kep getting more and more sand in my mouth. It was AWFUL! I couldn't do it! I trashed it immediately. I know the Acái they used was powder, but it still should not taste like I was swallowing sand. Terrible! . Perhaps more training in blending smoothies to be consistent and not sandy. Most importantly, customer service was a zero. No, I don't plan on going back - the vibe didn't fit me at all. Need an update/upgrade with Cs and certainly better blended smoothies for your future customers. From the reviews of how "good" it was to them - I don't see it AT ALL from what I had. Maybe it's acceptable for less than products - ummm, not for me. . My experience wasn't pleasant, nor tasty. read more

My family loves this place. The sno cones are big, (I always get a baby sno cone), and the flavors are light and enjoyable, not too sweet and doesn't get dye all over your mouth, which is especially helpful if you have little kids who wear more food on their face than gets in their tummy! We recently purchased a party pack to celebrate my son's birthday and I was highly impressed with the cost and the presentation of the package. The ice lasted the entire 3.5 hours and it came with gloves, a metal scoop, flavors and the spout to pour, umbrellas and cups. It was pretty much an 'all-you-need' kit for under $30, served more than 10-12 guests and the kids and adults loved it! read more

I waited in line for 15 minutes to order , cool not a problem they get busy ...but all I ordered was a coke with the cream in it . Pulled up to the window and waited 15 more minutes to just cash out . Girl at window was kinda rude but eh .. I'll still come back per usual lol read more

This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I asked for Red Raspberry and Watermelon mixed. They made me watermelon and blue raspberry. So when I got it I asked them to remake it. I got it back with all red on top so I left. Immediately after putting my spoon in it I realized only the top was red and the rest was the blue that i didn't order. For $7 I expect to get what I order. The Midland one has never given me bad service but it seems that every time I go to the Odessa location I have a bad experience. And, by the way, I asked for extra juice and this is practically just ice. read more

Great variety. While other snow-cone places have a few sugar-free options, Bahama Bucks has many and also can add sugar-free cream. I have tried several Thin Ice (sugar-free) flavors.
