Bacon was fantastic, food was tasty and Christine was probably the best server I have had at a breakfast spot.

My dad and I had breakfast at Jimmy's Egg last Saturday while my windshield was being repaired nearby. Parking is fairly plentiful. We were greeted warmly and quickly seated. The place has ample seating and is clean and fresh inside. I was drawn to Jimmy's by their extensive menu. It was super easy for my dad and I to both find exactly what we wanted to eat for breakfast. I had avocado toast with an egg over easy and bacon. The egg was perfectly cooked. The bacon could've been cooked a tad bit crispier for my liking. My dad ordered the Classic Combo and added a side of grits. He is pretty particular about his breakfast, particularly the balance of the value vs the taste, quality and quantity (as one should be) and he raved about his meal and whole Jimmy's Egg experience, especially their grits and sausage. He had so much food and we talked about what he would and wouldn't get next time to better fit his appetite and budget. The coffee was also piping hot and perfect with free refills. Our server, Gwen was exceptional and had the prettiest purple pen, notepad and accessories. This place has a lot of options for food. The queso blanco burrito was fantastic! Pro tip: ask for the picante sauce. Pretty sure it was just Julio's store bought sauce, but it was good. Hashbrowns ... criminally undersalted and NOT CRISPY. I HATE MUSHY HASHBROWNS. HASHBROWNS SHOULD BE CRISPY!!! All kidding aside, the Hashbrowns did suck, but everything else was awesome. Excellent diner food with many Mexican spins on classic favorites. I had the Conquistador Omelette which is absolutely delicious! The service is super quick and friendly, and for the restaurant being nearly packed the noise levels were reasonably low. First time at this establishment! Breakfast with my boss, he ordered the Eggs Benedict, I the classic pancake breakfast (multi-whole grain flax seed), scrambled eggs with sausage and bacon. We both had coffee, my boss also had orange juice. We were impressed by the old style treatment, coffee cup and flatware on the tables! Menus and a variety of condiments were also available on the table! The waitress took our order an our meal arrived soon after. Jim and I decided to try this place despite some of the latest reviews. Greeter sat us by door and cold air hit us every time someone went in and out made us request another table. Problem was they are a busy place so we had to wait. Only hot tea choice is Lipton. Jim had coffee and they were slow to refill. Server was nice though and you can tell she was hustling. Had a late morning flight out of Midland midweek, so I stopped in for a hearty breakfast in route to the airport. Very clean restaurant, maybe 50% occupied. Seated immediately and appreciated the prompt and very courteous service. Enjoyed my Country Benedict which was a split biscuit covered in coronary artery hardening but delectable gravy. The sausage patties were well flavored. Eggs were perfectly cooked and runny. Wished it was served a bit hotter though... Ask for Chalula hotsauce to add some kick. Stopped in here for breakfast because you can only eat so many free hotel breakfasts. Breakfast and lunch are all they do. Very good breakfast menu. A few healthy options which is nice. Had the light smoked turkey omelette with egg whites and it was flavorful. Nice portion size. Certainly a step up over Denny's type places. Not as pricey as First Watch. No fancy coffees, just black. Actually 2 and half stars. Had the worst Eggs Benedict in my life this morning, July 4, and Wall St was closed. Everything about it was bad, the English muffins had texture and taste of fine-cell sponge left in damp place too long. The sauce wasn't really Hollandaise, no tang to it at all. One of the poached eggs was way over cooked and had yolk busted at beginning of process, a hot mess! The shaved ham was way too salty and really prefer a small piece of thicker less processed ham, than this "shaved" shite. So if you're thinking of Eggs Benedict, I recommend that place on Wall Street. read more

Solid! Midland has been missing a place like this! It's got awesome food for breakfast and everything tastes a step above IHOP or some others like it. They can actually cook an over medium egg!! Shocker!! The wait staff is all courteous and the food comes out fast. The hash browns are really good!! Cover them with cheese.. the prices are reasonable. I did deduct one star because when I saw corned beef hash on the menu I almost cried... a manly cry.. but I love that stuff.... but sadly.. it's not what I was expecting.. the fried dog food looking version... that's literally my favorite breakfast item ever... but sadly they maintain the 1 step up in all categories.. this was actually sliced corned beef hash.. so yea.. probably a better quality.. but meh.. not for me. This place is great to grab lunch, however, it gets super packed during the weekend. Which is why the service is slow and waiters forget stuff. I have only eaten breakfast so no review of the balance of the day. First fun fact: they open early so you can get your day started. Secondly, the place is clean, organized and the seating is good. I have tried only a few things on the menu, but the Eggs Benedict is a very difficult dish and they got it right. It is easy to not get the eggs properly cooked and any delay under the heat lamp kills the dish. So- the ham was done and not shoe leather to cut through, the sauce was good (not great) and the eggs perfectly cooked. That would be 5 stars... But, add the coffee was hot and the waitress very pleasant. Lastly, the waitress mentioned the Manager had come in at 3am to get the restaurant ready after a citywide water main broke and the water quality questionable. not sure if the food is any good. Got seated but waited at least ten minutes and no server. Several clothe customers came in still no server. Then a lone gentleman came in. Then a minute or two later I saw a server come to the section we where both seated in . She went right to him. I guess that I do not matter so I left . Will probably not go back. When there a almost as many servers as the are customers. You have enough time for you and your party to decide what you will order and nobody other than seating will acknowledge you . We went in and the hosts stand, with 3 waitresses, seem a little short of less than thrilled to be there. Once we were guided to our table, we found exactly what we wanted to order. I ordered a French toast and my fiancé ordered pancakes and eggs. To drink we ordered 2 orange juices. The food was good, nothing special, nothing to rave about, just alright basic food.
