I waited in line for over 30 minutes for a smoothie that I still have to chew. It's not even blended enough that I can get it out of the straw. Why are they always so sloooooow. The drivethru is backed up and the last 3 Times I've gone they never even answer the drive through speaker . When I called him their phone the girl was rather rude and waited me to know only two people work there. While I absolutely love the food here, this location just can't seem to get their staff organized. In short, every single time I go, the drive thru has a MASSIVE line. If you don't have at least 20-30 minutes of spare time to wait in line, then this Tropical Smoothie location is not for you. After waiting in line for an upwards of 20 minutes, once you get to the window, the staff always acts confused as to what is going on. I had one person take my payment and then disappear promptly. After waiting for another 5 minutes or so, a different person came to the window asking what I ordered. I told them, and they stood there and looked at the computer for several minutes as if looking for something. I realized at that moment they were looking for my order for me to pay. I reminded them that I already paid, and then they gave me my food. I had to remind them again that I ordered chips and was missing them in my bag. Another problem with this location is the burning of sandwiches. More than once I have gotten home, ready to dig in to my sandwich, only to find it burnt to a crisp. Talk about frustrating! However, when they get the order right, and they don't burn it, the food here really is tasty. I love the smoothies, specifically the Sunrise Sunset smoothie. I am addicted!! I have tried the Blueberry Bliss, the Avocolada, and the Blimey Limey. They were absolutely amazing, smooth and flavorful! I had a wrap that was very delicious but I can't remember the name. The salsa that went with it was made in heaven! I think I will be making a daily visit to this place. read more

Im at tropical smoothie and this chick has black burned every sandwich she has toasted. How does the rest of the crew not smell something burning. The burnt grilled cheese she actually cut & was about to serve , but a co worker stopped her. Heck I said loudly "i know she is not about to".....her co worker came to the rescue. Good thing i got a wrap. However its took them 16 minutes to make a single wrap. I came out smelling like burnt toast lol. My avocalolda smoothie was great! My wrap looked so helpless. I am so glad Midwest City has a new restaurant that offers smoothies! I had never been to Tropical Smoothie before this location opened. I have tried multiple flavors and been happy with everything I've ordered. I also love that they have online ordering and then I can go by and pick it up quick. The California Baja bowl, Peaches n Silk, Bahama Mama, and Lean Machine all have my seal of approval. Anyone visiting this location should be prepared for the parking and traffic situation though. There's a lot beside the building that's easier to navigate. If the drive thru line has more than two cars in it, the entrance to the parking spaces in front of the building are blocked off. This isn't a deterrent, but just be prepared before you go. read more

I've come a handful of times and the smoothies are basically fruit icees. There's always something missing and I'm pretty sure it's a juice or nut/oat milk issue. You just don't get the satisfaction of creaminess you usually expect from a smoothie- you know, putting the "smooth" in smoothie...If you have ever had Jamaba juice then you know what I mean! As long as you know you won't get Jamba Juice perfection at this place then it's alright. Wow this place was great. We went in for the first time and ordered 2 smoothies which were among the best smoothies I've ever had. We also ordered some food, it was a panini type thing my husband order and that was unique and great too. Used to be my favorite place to go. I would order carry out and go pick it up off the counter; in and out to get back to work quickly. Today I ordered ahead and their lobby is closed due to staffing shortages. Now there is no way to get the food except to wait in the drive through. I could literally see it just sitting on the counter, if they'd just unlock the door it would save both customers and their staff's time. This location is incredibly frustrating. The food can be good but it can also be very unsatisfactory as well as flat out wrong. Also, the order ahead option here does no good at times because regardless you have to wait in the drive through because they lock the door. So if you ordered it ahead of time because you need to be somewhere, you can be flat out screwed. Why have the option to order ahead if you have to wait 30 minutes in the drive through? That's the purpose of the order ahead feature. What's great is during that wait, the phone line doesn't work so you can't call and ask to bring it out at the door. Good... Very good. But, the employees need to learn how to pronounce the food they serve correctly. And if they don't know how, do not make fun of the people who are saying it correctly because it sounds funny to you. Don't try to correct the people who know how to say it, and learn how to say it.
