The kid working the counter today was so utterly annoying. My order took 10 minutes to be taken and it could've taken 2. He kept telling me they were out of stuff to be funny but when your telling me your out of everything and your not I find that extremely annoying and rude. I'm a regular at Tropical Smoothie and always get the White Chocolate cranberry truffle smoothie. Well I ordered one today and tried it before I left. It didn't taste right, I told the employee it didn't taste right( kinda weak). She proceeded in a very rude tone informed me she made it correctly and pulled out the recipe card and said here is the recipe. I told her I only order this drink and it's not right. And the dressing used was runny and caused it to get that weird sogginess. The Detox thing I got I have no previous comparison to. It was very different, and I would get it again. I truly hope the owner sees this. Every other time I visit this establishment, they are out of Açaí. This is inexcusable. How do you consistently not keep good inventory??? I'm a business owner as well and if I make 1 mistake and Miss 1 sale, I'm upset and make an immediate correction. I've come in this location on 4 different occasions in the last 2 months and they've given me the same nonchalant excuse. Also, I've interrupted conversations many times between employees. They don't have a sense of urgency to serve the customer. Lastly, they have AirPods in. Every single one of them. This is workplace. Yummy smoothie! The Detox Island Green smoothie was just what I was craving. I was so happy they don't add any sugar, it's just naturally sweetened. And the fresh ginger adds a nice kick. I added ground flax seed and probiotics. It was $9.50 but I think worth it to have a healthy snack, and a good size smoothie, too. Just make sure you have plenty of time. I really enjoyed my Triple Berry Oat smoothie, I added the immune booster because I think I'm catching a cold :( I thought it was pretty reasonable for a 24 ounce smoothie. It came to 6.60 with tax. It seems everytime we order lately, something is wrong. There is a major lack of training in the staff, which changes all of the time. This place craves better management. Waited 30 minutes for a quesadilla to watch them drop it on the floor and had to wait another 10 minutes for them to remake it. I spent 40 minutes total in here waiting for a smoothie and quesadilla. The pickup system is a mess as well with no accountability. I watched someone from door dash arrive to pickup their items which someone else already took so they had to wait for the entire order to be remade. Anyone can walk into any tropical cafe and take someone else's order. They have a sign on the door saying that masks are required. But after I placed my order and used the bathroom, I came out to see a woman ordering with no mask. After she sat down I walked up to the counter and asked the girl working "I thought masks were required?" She said "no, not really." Unfortunately, I didn't notice it until after I was driving home that it seemed a bit expensive. My "avocalada" was supposed to be $5.09 and my mom's "Peaches n silk" was supposed to be $4.89. What a treat! Based off the name, I thought they just had smoothies, but they also have really good foods. Sandwiches, salads, bowls, quesadillas.. and all of it is really good! I had the island chicken quesadilla and my mom had the chicken caprese sandwich. Both were delicious. Not huge portions, but the perfect size. Smoothies were great. Awesome smoothie place! Very clean, very friendly staff and very delicious smoothies! I always get the Mocha Blast. It has chocolate, coffee (regular or decaf), cappuccino and non-fat yogurt. For those of us old enough to remember, it's like drinking a Jello Pudding Pop on crack! LOL Yeah, THAT good!! My wife gets the Avocolada. It has avocado, pineapple, spinach, kale, coconut & lime. Came here for a smoothie while on vacation. I make my own at home every day and was craving one so I ordered one as close as possible to the one I make which was the island green. It was a lot sweeter than what I usually have but it still tasted great. My husband got the orange ginger glow which I tried and also really liked. I got the bbq chicken flatbread that was apparently a limited time item, with their kale apple slaw and I have no complaints at all. In fact, I'll most likely be going back once or twice more before we head back to PA.
