First thing I noticed was the giant evil eye pendant hanging on the wall facing the customers. Message received: behave yourselves and be kind... the café is watching. Honestly, I respect the energy. You order at the counter, which keeps things simple and relaxed. My husband ordered the ahi tuna poke bowl, and I went with the Green Goddess salad with tofu. My salad was excellent. It had kale, carrots, onions, chickpeas, tofu, and avocado, and everything tasted fresh and well balanced. The tofu was actually flavorful (which tofu lovers know is not always guaranteed in the wild). It felt healthy but still satisfying. Chris really liked his poke bowl too and cleaned the whole thing up, which is always a good sign. The café itself is super cute and cozy, the kind of place you can imagine popping into regularly for lunch or a quick healthy meal. After a slightly disappointing dinner elsewhere the night before, this place felt like the universe saying, "Here, have some redemption food." We'll definitely be back. We are in for a weekend and staying at the nearby Marriott Dunes and wanted a healthy lunch. Being vegetarian and Pescatarian my wife and I like to try places off the beaten path. We were pleasantly surprised who amazing Kindbelly Cafe is. The staff and new owner are nice kind people and you can tell when you bite into their amazing dishes. I ordered the Tuna Poke bowl. It's nicely served on a fresh bed of kale and the sauce, avocado, kale and quinoa are very nice together! My wife had the Good Goddess wrap with tofu and it was well prepared and absolutely ! The out door seating area is all recently added onto and has a great vibe together with a nice breeze. I also got the Flying Purple Peter Eater smooth. I never had anything like it and hooked. Hubby and I were looking for a quick and easy breakfast after a late morning and wanted to stay close to the villa we were staying at so we stopped in around 11 am. We were very surprised that the place was absolutely empty. It was decorated beautifully, and they have a large patio that would have been perfect if it was warmer. You review the menu and order at the counter. The menu listed many healthy choices and I was thrilled to find out they had almond milk for my coffee!! I ordered the omelette and hubby had the pancakes and eggs and bacon. The toast that came with my omelette was made out of my favorite grain bread, and hubby's pancakes were made with a different delicious grain flour that he really loved. While we were there some very nice local ladies came in and told of some road closures in the area, helping us feel welcomed. Staff here were also very helpful. This place is definitely not inexpensive - we spent almost $40 for what was supposed to be a quick breakfast. read more

We were looking for a healthy late lunch option and my friend found this place. It's a small place but lots of outdoor seating. The menu had plenty of healthy from grain bowls, wraps, smoothies and more. I loved that things were local, non-gmo, organic and wild-caught plus the cheese was from Wisconsin! (My home state) Both my friend and I got the BBBQ chicken sandwich. It was good and the sauce was light and not very berry tasting. My son liked the chicken and my friend's fruit. Since he can't eat the hard veggies, I had them and the ranch was tasty. It was a good meal and nice sitting outside but this isn't the place to stop if you're in a rush. Have been here several times whenever I am up around 82nd Street. The menu has changed a little bit but pretty much the same great food and service we've come to expect over the years. I am also amazed at how it's never very busy. Yes, $9 for a breakfast burrito is a lot. But we are talking quality with more than enough to fill you with a Healthy breakfast. They will give you a number if you are dining in and you go and sit down. They have indoor and outdoor dining. The outdoor dining was enjoyable. [Coronavirus review] I saw the option to order online and get curbside carryout, but the thing is I wasn't sure whether I wanted to take it. Was this a place to eat in? Was there parking? Was there somewhere safe to wait? Turns out this place is in a weird little niche next to a real estate office with some kind of shaded parking and a deck where you can eat outside, so I was glad I didn't curbside it and leave. The lentil burger was a bit of an adventure, a tad too big and messy for its smallish bun but pretty substantive and while it had a bit of something fake meat-ish to it that I didn't like, it balanced nicely with the avocado and garnishes. I added a set of chips and black bean hummus that I didn't really need but which were solid, along with a lemonade that tasted slightly stevia-ish, which may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your perspective. From mine corona calories are a real concern so I'll take less sugar if it's offered. The place also had smoothies and a mid afternoon happy hour for them. We spent over a week in MB & ate all over the place including a fine dining restaurant that was over 100$ per person, when I say this was the best food we had here I am not exaggerating, the kind of good quality food that makes you feel good when you eat it. it's also a lovely cafe & the patio looked really cute though we sat inside. I can't imagine how people are complaining about the prices when they are fairly low compared to the area & other places similar to this. I would not recommend. Firstly, you seat yourself, and there is no table service. You go up to the counter to order and you pour your own beverages. I had a chicken salad sandwich with watercress and avocado, on 12 grain bread. Nothing came with the sandwich. I think it would have been OK except for the heavy salt. It was inedible. Why salt so much? The other issue was the ladies room. Low-flow toilet meant I had to flush many times. It's lovely to have to stay in a bathroom longer because they chose a lousy toilet. Then, the paper towel dispenser was not working, so nothing to wipe your hands on except your clothes. All in ali, too expensive, poor service, bathroom issues. I will never return. read more

These folks have been on my radar for a few years, but I just now had a chance to give them a try on our latest visit out to Myrtle. Easy parking and lots of shade. We visited on a Tuesday morning for a late breakfast, sat outside on the pup friendly patio, and everyone ordered something different. Food was fresh, fast, and delicious. Check out their bowls and smoothies for something refreshing and yummy. I'm so glad we took the plunge and gave them a try! I was craving a tuna poke bowl and did a quick search on Yelp to find KindBelly. The location is in a really cute little building in Myrtle Beach. Despite its small size, there is ample seating both indoors and outdoors and a lot of shade for the outdoor area on warmer days. I saw they have acai and pitaya bowls which I would love to try in the future. For this visit I stuck to my craving and got the Poke Bowl which was simple but tasty. It included brown rice, kale and seasoned tuna. The kale and tuna were really delicious together, I would have been thrilled with just those two ingredients in the bowl.
