Booked my appointment a month in advance and the day came I arrive on time and figured I'd only…read morehave to wait a few but waited 30 min until I got seen for my haircut, I will admit it was as tedious just waiting their knowing my appointment should've started a while ago but since she was working on a client I tired to not let it get to me. Other than that the workers was nice and loved my trim I got, do plan on coming here more often until I leave Minot.

Don't go to Evolution salon!!! Worst service I've had in my lifetime! My perm appointment was for…read more1:00-4:00 and haircut scheduled for 4:00. It was 1:15 when she started and she was done with perm and cut by 2:50! -didn't rinse shampoo thoroughly. I could tell because she never rinsed behind my ears or at bottom of my neck. I felt the areas with my hands and asked to rinse in those locations -didn't roll hair for spiral, she flat rolled which resulted in hair looking crimped instead of a spiral perm -way too much space between rods, she put too much hair on each rod and didn't use enough rods, there should have been at least twice as many rods used -sections were too wide for rod and hair was tangled on ends of almost every rod. When rods were removed, she had hard time getting them out and it was painful, I could hear hair breaking with each one -top of head was absent of rods, so asked her redo it. She did, but only improved it slightly still leaving large area with no rods -didn't saturate rods with perm solution. I couldn't even feel the solution on my scalp most of the time. She hardly put any on rods around my face, behind my ears, and never lifted my head to soak the rods above my neck -didn't thoroughly rinse the solution out. Max time spent rinsing was maybe two minutes, if that. Barely rinsed perimeter rods and again didn't get behind ears or lift head to rinse at neck -didn't remove cotton strip around perimeter before rinsing -didn't remove water from rods thoroughly. Patted my head a couple times and told me to hold the towel on my head -applied neutralizer the same as she did the solution...didn't saturate -still had same cotton around perimeter that we started with -same lack of thoroughness during rinse as when she rinsed the solution out and spent a fraction of the time needed to rinse -removed the rods. Very painful as the rods were tangled in my hair as stated above -still have the original cotton band on perimeter -didn't even attempt to rinse hair once rods were removed -back to her work station where she FINALLY removed the original cotton band -she asked me what I thought about the results and I said "it's not curly at all". I asked if she was still going to cut some layers, so she combed the back of my hair while still wet, pulled it straight out and up, trimmed to create layers only on the bottom. She did this twice on the back and that was it. I said again that it wasn't curly and She said "I'll be right back" and came back with the manager -manager asked me how long it's been since I've had a perm and said my hair could've changed over the years causing the perm to not take, or it could be the gray because gray is more perm resistant. I've had tons of perms thru my life and never had an outcome like this. I explained that haircut was also not what was discussed. Showed her my inspiration pics and she she said thats not permed hair, it's natural curl and u'll never get that result with a perm. I said I knew my hair wasn't going to look like those pics, but I was using them to show Presley how tight of a curl, hair length, and style of cut I wanted. I told her that my hair was uneven on the sides and shorter in back. She said "thats probably a good thing since hair grows faster in back. So it was obvious nothing was going to be done to correct the situation -after mgr left, I pointed out the unevenness to Presley and she said "it's even cause I pulled hair from both sides to the front to make sure". Every time she pulled hair to the front of my face/chin to check evenness, she pulled it from different areas, so her checks were way off too. I swept my hair to front of my shoulders and said "can't u see how uneven that is, how much longer it is on the left side"? So she then combed and pulled my hair out between her fingers and trimmed some off. Then she removed my cape. I was still pointing out more uneven hairs and she started to cut them without the cape. I said, "I don't want hair all over me", so she said she would catch it in her hand. That didn't happen, hair was in my lap and all over me! -before we started, she told me she was going to do a curly cut after the perm and that would add the layers I was asking for. However, it was clear once she removed the cape that she was done. I didn't even mention this to her in the end for fear of a more botched up look than she had already left me with. It's clear the owner/mgr is not concerned with making sure customers are happy because I reached out to her but she never responded or contacted me.
