This was quite a few years ago, but I have not been back since. a nice girl cut my hair, but it was uneven. I went back and asked for her so I could get it fixed. Apparently, she had quit. The manager on duty had a really bad attitude. I told her that my haircut was uneven... She replied with "hardly". Excuse me??? I attended the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis and graduated with the honors. Her attitude and response was completely unprofessional. "Hardly uneven", is still uneven. No wonder the salon is referred to as the "Fake Aveda Salon". I really hope that that manager has been fired since then. As a salon owner, I would've been extremely pissed. read more

Don't get your hair done here went in to get my roots done left with them looking the same as when I came in the Worst customer service not professional at all the best they could do was me pay 50% for a service I have to have redone because of there time and product no regard for my time or the fact the service wasn't done correctly and I have to go to a wedding without my roots done very unsatisfied read more

Horrible horrible horrible experience. Right when I walked in to make an appointment (they never answer the phone) there was a girl standing there who interjected and said "oh I can do your balayage" before asking if there was already a stylist I had in mind. Appointment was rescheduled (error on my end but I should've taken that as a sign) Appointment day: walked in and explained to her what I wanted and showed her some photos of how I wanted it. Explaining to her that I have black box dye in my hair and knowing the color will not turn out as light as the photos I was showing her. We get started and I explained to her that the last time I had colored my hair was 6 months previously, so she decided to use a "new technique" for bleaching my hair. As she was putting the foils in my hair (clumping them into balls and not laying them flat) I thought the foil was poking me in the ear. Turns out it was physically burning me. It was getting so hot that I had to let the girl know and she turns to the other stylist (the girl doing my hair seemed to be an apprentice and the stylist who was supposed to be supervising her had left the room for 97% of the time until it was time to check the cut) and asks her "hey is it supposed to be getting this warm?" And the other stylist said "no you should wash that out immediately" so she did and after 15 minutes my hair was almost completely fried off. I took that as a sign to not let her do that to the rest of my hair and asked her to just keep it black. The coloring took about three hours too long, and after she washed out my hair, she asked if I still wanted it cut. I said "as little as possible" I cried walking out. When I got home I straightened it out and cried even harder. I went back and the stylist who seemed like she was supposed to be watching over her fixed the cut for me, but it was still about 5 inches shorter than what I had asked for. This was back in August and they've never answered the phone, and I wouldn't ever dare walk in there again. I am so scared to go to any salon in Minot because this is supposed to be the highest rated one in town. Photos of before and after included. Now my hair is two completely different colors and half of it is breaking off so bad that it's two different lengths. Therefor I do NOT recommend going to SOS. I still paid for it even though it was no where close to what I wanted and I really hope y'all start answering your phone. read more

I've been seeing Sianna for last 2-3 years and she is literally the best! She is extremely knowledgeable about the ingredients that's in her products (if you have sensitive eyes!) and what suits your face/eye shape best! I love that she cares about the structure of your natural lashes too which I feel like other lash technicians don't nowadays. I have never had an issue of them falling out unexpectedly or anything of that sort. I am always getting complimented on them and I can only say good things! Best massage in Minot thus far! Honestly, I've had a few massages in Minot since moving here and this place is the best. Both times the service has been professional and comfortable. During the massage, the masseuse constructed a very relaxing and professional environment to shroud the entire hour. Not only did she perform a deep tissue massage but she also intertwined it with a series of much needed stretches and joint rotations. I left feeling renewed and relaxed. For all of this, I spent $78 plus a very deserving tip. If you need to relax and have your stress relieved, but not your wallet, SOS is the place. read more

Turning left and then right. Plotting my attack - how would I do the least damage? Suddenly, a chime!! Sara of SoS - a misunderstanding on the phone confirmation, as my name was a match for a stylist. All is well & my appointment was still there. Scissors down... scissors down Bree was my stylist and she did am AMAZING job! The color flows nicely with a mix of highs and lows along with my natural color (a match for the pretty killer brows Angie did for me)... sorry L'oreal, I won't be breaking up with my salon for you anytime soon. ...and the hair thinning undoubtedly took off 10lbs- easiest diet ever! Stellar service on the follow up and clarification of the situation!! Top notch owner. __________________________________________ Sadly, today's experience was not as good as my previous. I called to verify my appointment at noon today, as I hadn't received a text confirmation yesterday, only to find out I no longer had an appointment. They offered tomorrow but I'm not available. I have to give a shout out to Kasandra at SOS image for doing my lash extensions. I freaked out in the beginning so bad and I thought I wouldn't be able to make it til the end. Kasandra was so professional and considerate enough to wait and calm me down til I was mentally ready. DO NOT (and I can't emphasize this enough) GET A FACIAL FROM THIS SALON. I was so excited for this appointment because I have had amazing experiences here before. The woman that did my facial stated a few times that she was having "one of those days." Not something I wanted to hear from someone that was going to perform a service for me, especially on my face. So at that point I was weary but still trusted I was going to receive a "skilled and quality service." I received the complete opposite. The whole appointment was unprofessional and my appointment took a total of 20 minutes. It was clear that she was not confident which made me uncomfortable. It was an awful experience. I walked to the front and the receptionist said it will be $90. I questioned why, as I have paid that amount for a full hour for the same exact facial previously at their salon. I paid the $90 and left because . I called back to speak to a manager to better understand. I explained the situation and their solution was to offer me 25% off my next appointment and a $20 refund. So $70 for a 20 minute cleansing that I could have done at home. Please do not go here and expect a PROFESSIONAL FACIAL. I ended up speaking to the manger and owner about this situation and they called this a "learning curve" for their employee and they understand my appointment was unprofessional, at my expense?? They also told me they would not refund because the chemical peel they used is "very expensive." This was a horrible experience for me and If you're wanting a facial I highly recommend you do not go here. read more

The tone for the appointment was set right from the start. I stood at the desk for a good 10-15 minutes being ignored by everyone in the salon. I finally sat down to wait for someone to acknowledge me. Apparently the cashier was on break and no one felt compelled to show common courtesy by acknowledging me. I was shocked at how unfinished the salon appeared. Naked brick wall on one side. It looked like construction abandoned their post and no one bothered to get the shop finished. The lady that cut my hair was obviously inexperienced. Of the two ladies that were there, they didn't seem to have a very friendly relationship with each other as neither of them spoke to each other at all. I was given a quote at the time of making the appointment that included wash, cut, dry, and style. As it turned out, I washed my hair myself before coming in and expected the charge to be reduced from what was quoted since one task was removed. It was a bit of a battle to get them to reduce the charge. I wasn't totally unhappy with the cut, but the inexperience of the girl who worked on my hair was very obvious. She was willing to quit after the cut even though hair was sticking out rather oddly. I had to encourage her to finish the job and style it as I was not leaving with pieces of hair sticking out. From start to finish it was not a comfortable experience and I highly questioned why it came out as the top place to go on a Google search. Apparently some people have had a great experience, but I was not one of them. I'm not at all likely to try it for a second time. read more

They are really good at what they do but so far my extensions are terrible experience not happy and been thinking about taking them out cause one , it seems like I have to go in almost every week to get them fixed each time is $50... I don't have time nor money for this. I'm trying one more turning and if it falls apart in 3 day to a week ONCE AGAIN then I will decide to go else where or just take them out. I had my massage with Cindy who was quite a delight. Don't let her small size fool you. This lady can give you a deep massage like none other. Very friendly and helpful. No it's not a spa but it is relaxing. Yes there is a gym next to it but I never heard gym noises while I was in there. Very worth t and will likely return to request for Cindy again. I love love love this place !!! Every time I manage to get my lazy unmotivated butt in gear and get to a class at the gym it is well worth it! My schedule is hectic and love that I have 24 hour access to the clean and well maintained gym when ever it fits my needs . As far as the salon goes I don't know what I would do with out Necia!!! With out my eyebrows would be a bushy mess! I have tried other places in town and she gets it right every time and her wax does not torture my skin like some of the others. Terrible experience with this place. Had bought a gym membership in 2012 and cancelled it in early 2013 because we moved and other places were closer. I didn't figure out until mid 2017 when I switched banks and suddenly started getting overdraft notices and overdraft charges in the mail, but these people have been charging me 47.00 a month for 5 years for a gym I have not even driven by in years. And when questioned about it the manager was extremely rude about it. She said she would give half the money back, which I was pretty happy with that. I'm not sure if she was feeling guilty or if it was an accident, but she reimbursed the full amount. 3 days later get 2 phone calls, one from her and one from the bank that represents the salon. Both stated that I now owe them 1128.00 and if not paid immediately we will be going to court. With that being said it was a nice place but if you go there you should try to pay in cash. DO NOT let them swipe your card and do not give them a check. read more
