My son was…read morehaving an extremely painful ongoing and somewhat baffling problem and after ending up in the ER again, the doctor there was very concerned and made some calls to see if a colleague he knew would be interested in taking the case. That colleague was Dr Lowe at Skagit Pediatric. She is a lovely caring person and her gentle yet no nonsense manner has been just right for my son (and me). She has advocated for him time and again for a variety of reasons. She's called his school to make sure they have been adequately (and legally) supporting him. She's called in various other specialists whom she's thought would be helpful. She's monitored him consistently over the years and is the person responsible for getting his health back on track. Dr Lowe has spent time getting to know my son. This is no easy thing. I don't have enough characters to go into how important this is for him. The second he even slightly senses condescension or the person who's too flippant and thinks they know where he's coming from (they probably don't), he shuts down. If it's bad enough (for him), he will fire them as his provider. He doesn't mess around and Dr Lowe has passed every hurdle with flying colors. With that said, he has also seen several other providers at Skagit Pediatric when Dr Lowe hasn't been available and every single one has been thorough, caring, and really listens. The receptionists at the front have never been anything but nice and caring. Sometimes a bit disorganized but never rude or dismissive. I've spoken with them on the phone many times and in person even more. l've also seen them handle any number of other people and l've never seen anything other than friendliness. Despite the difficulties that COVID has presented, we still have had nothing but proper, friendly care from Skagit Pediatric.

I would advise parents to stay away from this practice. We would have been a new patient to this…read morepractice, but since the previous clinic (where my daughter's medical records are stored) is short staff and they are behind on faxing her records to Skagit.. they want to reschedule her appointment to a different day and time. This does not work for us since I have limited PTO, and I do not have the ability to predict when my daughter's asthmatic airway was going to be reactive to the cold weather. They gave terrible customer service because of a cough and we were seeking medical attention to have her breathing medication renewed since the prescription expired. They followed COVID protocols to the extreme, and they do not take into consideration that the parent knows and understands their own kid's health. My daughter did not have a fever or shortness of breath. She has a reactive airway and the cold weather makes it reactive. My daughter is allowed to have a cough. My daughter should not be denied medical care for their convenience. This is a terrible practice that eliminated humanity from their protocols.

He went out of his way to speed up my surgery date back in 2005 before an important family event. His schedule was very tight and fully booked, so he decided to come in for an extremely early operation to make the scheduling work. I am indebted to him for the successful surgery and very kind accommodation given the tight schedule. I feel deeply appreciative of his kindness and personal sacrifice for such an early surgery, for his sincere concern for his patients and for doing everything he can to make things work for them. We need more doctors like him. I feel very blessed to have had him as my OBGYN when I was having the medical issue. Since I live in another town and am in relatively good health, I no longer go to him for my annual visits, but I will definitely go back to him should I have any major health issues that require an OBGYN. We took him to so many physicians who would bandage it and apply ointments or some other thing they promised that would "definitely take care of it". One of the doctors eventually referred us to a clinic that supposedly specialities in healing open blisters like this. They told us because of his diabetes he would have a hard time closing the dang thing up. After about 10 visits there we gave up. My wife said it might be smart to take him into a doctor that specialized in feet and that's how found Dr. Chang with some googling. Boy I'll tell you it couldn't have been easier working with him and the clinic. The front desk gal (Lori?) is a hoot and really helpful and Dr. Chang did a great job of sitting us down to go over the different options we had. Eventually after trying some basic options he used this special type of band-aid made from the same stuff babies are held in during pregnancy (or something like that, he explained it A LOT more thorough in person lol) and lo and behold that sucker closed up in just over two months. Inside Anacortes Family Medicine, the staff is very nice and helpful. The front desk helps with anything you need. The nurses are great, and the doctors tend to run mostly on time. I've rarely had to wait too long - there are exceptions, but emergencies do come up. The clinic is a part of Island Hospital, and they are only a few blocks away from the Island Hospital ER. This is good because sometimes situations call for an ER visit, and the doctors have referred me down there on a handful of occasions throughout my life. Since they are affiliated with Island Hospital, they have good access to specialists for situations calling for one, as well as special testing done in a lab. They use the lab at Island Hospital. There is not one inside the clinic. There is an urgent care facility housed in the same building as Anacortes Family Medicine, and if Anacortes Family Medicine cannot fit you in to see a doctor, the urgent care can - there just might be a bit of a wait. He did a great a great job on my toe and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. The office staff was also super friendly and helpful. Dr. Randolph is a true professional and a great person.
