I arrived approximately 5 minutes late for my appointment (11:20 a.m. for an 11:15 a.m. appointment) and had already communicated beforehand that I would be arriving at 11:18 a.m. I understand that late arrivals can affect appointment times, but what was never communicated was that this would result in losing treatment time or that choosing to reschedule to receive the full service would result in an $40 cancellation fee. Instead of clearly explaining the policy and giving me all the information upfront, I was told after the fact that the fee would be applied. I was charged $40 unfairly for a gift appointment from my friend, who is a weekly client at this establishment. After this experience, I have already encouraged her to take her business elsewhere. The massage therapist also did not provide a welcoming experience upon arrival. Rather than greeting me professionally and warmly, the interaction immediately felt as though I was an inconvenience and that the shortened appointment was being emphasized instead of trying to provide a positive client experience. Policies are one thing, but communication and customer service matter. Unfortunately, this establishment failed in both areas.

I came to her with severe pain in the first MTP joint of my right big toe, which was especially troublesome at night and often interrupted my sleep. My podiatrist had discussed several possible surgical options, including joint replacement, joint fusion, or removal of the bone spur with joint remodeling. Since surgery was not my first choice, I decided to try acupuncture with Dr. Pan first to see if it could help relieve the pain. And it did! It was a Thursday evening session, and community style. I did a little research as I have never had acupuncture before, but I felt like this was something I needed as I'm under a lot of stress from the daily world. It was about a 30-40 min session. He placed about 5 needles per ears and it felt like nothing. We chatted about my journey, and he was really great in explaining each pressure point to me, and just overall how it'll help with the stress I've been under. After the needles I meditated for about 20 mins, and he removed them. It was a great stress reliever and I just felt calm afterwards, almost like I was on a cloud. It was definitely a different feeling than when I walked in. Well about two weeks later, I found out I was pregnant and now going on my 7th week. Again we've been trying for 8 months, and I was so discouraged but the stress I was under was more than normal and the social pressures of getting pregnant at my age was a lot. I personally feel like this little session helped me so much, and just really assisted in my journey.
