Rented a house through Royal Lepage Realty, Angie Peters was the ladies name for the realtor. I…read morelived there for 4 years and all was good. Needed a bigger house so went looking. I gave more than 30 days notice and moved into new house. Royal Lepage withdrew $1500.00 out of my acct despite them knowing I was not living there anymore. I phoned them thinking it was an accounting error and they would just refund my money so I could pay the rent at the new house. They said they did it on purpose because we left a couple of dishes in the sink when we left. I was quite angry but did not believe I wanted to hire a lawyer for $1500.00 so I left it alone. They also had kept my damage deposit which was also $1500.00 which I was okay with since there were probably a few repairs that needed to be done. What happened next blew me away. A few weeks ago I got a call from a collection agency saying I owed nearly $4000.00 and if I did not pay they were going to put it against my credit rating. I thought in Canada at least you are innocent until proven guilty, but I guess that is not the case anymore. Never use Angie Peters if you want peace of mind at night that is for sure. Shame on you Royal Lepage for even having agents that do these things.

Negligent! **OWNERS BEWARE** I was an out-of-province owner trusting this agency to oversee my…read moreproperty. Under their watch, my place was systematically trashed over a 5-year period (they called it "poor housekeeping'). Inspections were cursory, overlooking damage such as punch holes, filth, drug activity, smoking and an animal on site when the rental agreement clearly stated none were allowed. Over $4000 in unpaid rents was allowed to accrue with the agency supporting the tenants' excuses consistently. Owners, you MUST check your own property regularly if you are using this service! Better, go elsewhere!

THEN they came while I was at work and changed the locks, moved all of my things out and broke most of my furniture, I went back after I got a truck to get my things that were thrown onto the yard and it was all gone! I have not been able to get a response out of them, as to where all of my belongings are either!! WORST RENTAL COMPANY!!!
