After a year of back and forth and no one listening to me at another jeweller and finally rejecting all of their attempts I went to Troy. The owner himself did my custom CAD drawings. I've never been disappointed with the customer service I've received here. A few times I've gone in just to ask questions and I was taken just as seriously as the customer who was looking to get a ring designed for his wife. The showroom is roomy and tasteful, displaying lots of crystal figurines, diamond rings and gold jewelry. There's a parking lot right beside the store, so you don't have to worry about having to park on the street. I bought my fiance's engagement ring at Troy Shoppe and not only is the product the best in the city. The service is also! David Blitt, Shannon and the rest of the team went above and beyond. They are all such a pleasure to deal with. My Mom was on a cruise while I was looking for an engagement ring and purchased a diamond ring in a port. While she was away I, with the help of Shannon and David, designed and bought an engagement ring. When my Mom returned she presented a ring (and the paper work) with a higher quality diamond for much less money. I took it to David to look at. He showed me why is was not a higher quality diamond and politely told me that my Mom got scammed. He actually submitted a legal statement regarding the fraudulent nature of the diamond paper work and helped my Mom fight to get her money back. A stand up guy. read more

I have heard about Troy Shoppe Jewelers and have always had wonderful feedback about them. So we decided to go and purchase my dream engagement ring from them after I had lost my original engagement ring. I learned so much from David about the quality of diamonds and he was very helpful with choosing the right diamond for me. He ordered 2 diamonds so I was actually able to see and compare the differences. He taught me the importance the cut of a diamond which I am glad he did as I picked his recommendation! All I can say is that I was amazed on his expertise and we found the most beautiful diamond and setting there that I could not find anywhere else. No other large chain jewelry store could match the quality of care they gave us. I am in LOVE with my new engagement ring and it will be cherishes through generations! Wow, maybe it was bad timing for me but I was treated so rudely when I went in with a question about my gold necklace. I got it in Brazil (I paid a fortune for it) and it has several different karats of gold. I wanted to speak to the jeweller and was in the middle of making an appointment. An older brunette came up and started talking to me like a 5yr old who was pestering her. I really left there feeling like she spoke down to me......for what ever reason I couldn't tell you. The younger girls were nice but as soon as she stepped in I left feeling like I knew I would never go in there again. She was just blatantly rude. Im pretty sure I will just take it and my other projects to someone when in the USA again. read more

Having been married for 25 + years I've had several anniversaries that required the help of a jewellery store that I felt I could trust, and at the same time provide the absolute highest quality service along with superb quality rings, necklaces, pendants and such. Me being a typical guy, I'm perennially late purchasing my gifts, and I have to say David and he's staff have always, and I mean always, come through for me at crunch time. I have gotten about 6 or more appraisals done and had my rolex watch repaired here. While they do send it out for repairs and appraisals, I have never been dissatisfied. The appraisals always include a photo and are reasonably priced. When my rolex needed repair, I was hesitant and crazy thoughts go in your mind (like are they going to swap it out for a fake?). The person they use did a complete overhaul for a good price and now its working like a charm. read more

We picked Troy Shoppe as they had a beautiful wedding ring which matched my husbands band (but with diamonds) We were shocked at the first fitting because it was a completely different ring! The sales ladies tried to sweet talk me that it was the same. When I made them finally pull the display ring which number was on my order slip the differences were notable. The sales lady stated they would "fix it" My husband spoke with the jeweller later who said he would "fix it" but that if we still didn't like it we would loose our deposit. ALL FOR THEIR MISTAKE!!!! When we returned they had minimally made it better. We felt bullied by the sales ladies to take it especially as otherwise we would just loose our deposit. It was only then that the sales lady we had Denise, let us know that the ring we chose was ordered in while my ring was made in store and that was why they were so different! We were shocked! As they stated there was nothing else they could do and our wedding was very fast approaching we felt bullied into taking the ring. NOT EVEN A DISCOUNT. Actually our ring was in the lower range of our quote due to the amount of gold needed to make the ring and Denise made it sound like we should be happy about that! Now I look down at my finger and hate my ring when I should love it and think of my beautiful wedding and my husband. I will have to get it "fixed" or buy a new ring at some point but I like the idea of wearing the same ring forever. Troy Shoppe Jewellers took this away from me. Please, please DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE and shop at this horrible store which does not know about communication or customer service. I do not want you to have to suffer as I have. You have many choices in Calgary, many of them could make any ring that you like at Troy. Please, for your own good, choose to shop anywhere but here! read more
