I took my grandmothers mantle clock to Mo in October of 2023 as the spring had broken. This mantle clock was over 100 years and a limited addition. Mo said they would inspect and call me within the week. After a week i went to their store only to fins the clock was in pieces. They said the mechanism had to be replaced yet I had the spring replaced before. After 12 months and 5 mechanisms (used) I received the clock back which worked for a month. I went to another store who specializes in these mantle clocks and after inspection they said they needed a new wheel. I asked him why and he told me because it was worn out, another used mechanism. I was more interested in the sentimental value as it was a wedding gift for my grandmother. The store keeper told me this was an expensive clock and if in its original condition would be worth $5000. Mo charged me $650 to put used mechanisms and lied to me over and over again. These people really have no idea what they're doing. They really don't deserve a one star. Do Not! Ever Ever use Global Diamonds to have your watch repaired or have your watch battery replaced. Which should be pretty simple! I took my GUCCI watch in for a battery replacement and the guy there (Moe) said; he was SWISS Certified in Watch repair as he fumbled to take the back cover of my watch off which started to cause me concern, but against my better judgement I allowed him to proceed. What a MISTAKE!!!!!! Well I think he got his certification from "cracker jacks", because once he did finally get my watch done and returned it to me, it was totally scratched all over the place on the back of the watch. The watch had been hardly worn in 5 years, and never had a scratch on it until today......... what a mess! I am so P...... I took my cuckoo clock in and it took six months for them to repair it. Original quote for 350 after two months I called. They said they would call me when it's ready. A generally patient person. I waited several more months and went in. He told me the parts he thought he had didn't work had to order some. The clock was on the wall with a tag that it was running fast. Which was not the issue I took it in for it was a chain was jammed. A couple more months go by I stop in. The owner said it's ready to go and one of his staff says no it's not. It's still running fast. I asked which one is accurate because it's been six months. I get lots of stories. They asked for a couple of days to get back to me. They leave me a message that they have to change the entire Internal workings. I go over to the shop and that's the story they tell me and that it's going to be an additional $50. They show me the unit they're going to install. It doesn't look anything like the original that is in it. I mention it to them that the wheels are larger and they assured me they measured and it will work. Now my suspicions are tweaked so I told him I want the old unit when I come for the pick up. He argues with me and tells me that would cost me an additional $40. I told him there is no way I'm going to give him more money for something that I already own A week later I get a call to pick up. Have them open the back and it's not the unit that they said they were going to replace it with. It looks like the original. when I point that out, they guarantee me that it's a new one. I highly suspect that it is not. The old one that they gave me doesn't look anything like what was in my clock. I will let people come to their own conclusions. Oh, they also told me that they had tried calling me multiple times, it never happened. Why would you be calling me multiple times if you are telling me that the clock is not ready? at least it actually works. We will see for how long. He would only provide a six month guarantee I would strongly recommend nobody use this business. yelp should provide negative star options, but I can only give them a one. read more

Do not go here. We had an old clock that need cleaning, and possibly some bushings replaced, and Moe completely destroyed it. He used the wrong bushings and then forced in new ones, broke and tried to repair the pendulum, used the incorrect screws to attach the mechanism and generally made a complete mess of the clock. Another clock repair person, who we usually use but wasn't available when we needed the clock repaired, remarked that he had never seen anything like this, EVER! Avoid, avoid, avoid. Mo really did a great job any time I've gone in to get something done. Dad had taken his Bulova watch to another jeweller to get a strap for his watch only to be told the manufacturer doesn't make that strap any more and didn't seem to be interested in helping him. He wanted to keep the watch as it had a great deal of sentimental value to him. Mo ordered another strap and was able to cut through the metal strap to make it fit the watch and you would never know that was done. Took my Bulova here for a new battery that lasted a week, he suggested a cleaning on my next visit so I paid about $90 for it, never called to say it was done and quit again in a week. Suggested a new movement was required ( no charge), again never called and quit 2 weeks later. Took it back and he replaced it again (no charge), no call, quit again in a week. Took it back one more time same scenario and quit a month later, as far as I'm concerned he ruined a very good watch and I will never use him again! read more

If i could give a negative star i would. My soon to be fiance found a ring here and set up an arrangement to pay for the ring in installments. He was a number of months into the payments (we wouldn't get the ring until it was paid off) and he gets a call that since the price of diamonds has gone up he now wants more money for a ring that we already made a deal on. When my fiance asked for a refund he hummed a hoed and finally gave him only a part of the money back (despite the fact the ring never left his shop and he can still sell it) to top it all off he gave him a cheque for the money and despite being told twice how to spell the name misspelled it and we can not cash the cheque until we go back AGAIN to get a new one. I would advise people to steer clear, he is a liar and a thief. What should be a happy time has turned into a disaster and set us back in the whole process. read more

TERRIBLE! Took engagement ring in to get sized and he didn't do it properly causing a small side diamond to pop out a week later. Went got that fixed (free of charge). A week later the location where he re-sized it came apart and had to be re done (requested appraisal at this point as well). After he fixed it and we recieved it back the large diamond was now loose. Went back to get it tightened again free of charge. A week later the ring broke (same location as the first time). By this point I am done with him and took it to a REAL jeweler who informs me it kept breaking because he fused it together with white gold fully knowing it was a pure platinum ring. I spent nearly 5 k on this ring and I feel as though he butchered the thing and also wasted a lot of my time in the process. I also have yet to see the appraisal I paid for over 3 months ago now. I called today as I forgot about it and he informs me he lost it and we would have to bring the ring back in so he could have his son re-do it. HA! such a joke. I am not even gonna go back and fight for my refund as I cannot stand the thought of setting foot in his store again. Please learn from my mistakes and avoid this store like the plague! read more
