    Room wall stains, ewwww
    Christopher D.

Tired, lazy and dirty. So, put in perspective, I do about 150 nights a year. First, the digital key never worked. Got nothing but excuses. Second , there were dirty footprints out of the shower and they didn't offer to move rooms. Third, my refrigerator was doa and they told me to give my food to the bar, no offer to repair. Let's add the Bar stools are wobbly( I was sober). The stains on the wall in room were disturbing. No customer service, and they have been "under renovations" since I was here in July. TLDR: go somewhere else

I'm giving it two stars because it is not some place to which I would return. That doesn't mean it's a bad hotel, it's just not right for me. Needed a hotel close to the main line and most hotels were already full or in the four to $500 range. This was our first time using the Tru brand by Hilton and probably our last. The rooms are exceedingly small; other than one small desk chair there's no place to sit except on the bed. The sheets in our bed were wrinkled but hopefully clean. I have my doubts... The lobby looks like a merger of a CrossFit gym with a Chuck E cheese and East German nightclub. It was crowded and loud on our arrival which is what you would expect when you install foosball tables. Hallways were also dirty and needed a vacuum. I also should have paid attention to the Yelp reviews regarding loud children but I figured maybe that was a one off. It was not. There must be some sort of connection to this particular hotel and local sports tournaments. The hotel was full of adolescent lacrosse players and wrestlers. Children were running screaming and laughing in the hallways until after 2:00 a.m. . For over 300 bucks the least you can expect is a good night's sleep and we did not get that. On the plus side, the complimentary breakfast was not awful.

This hotel is really nice. The lobby is nearly interactive and wholesome at the same time. The room was spacious in its simplicity and I absolutely adored the bathroom, because it had a wand attachment for the undercarriage , with water pressure that was appreciated. Will definitely come again.

To say we were spoiled, would be an understatement. Every employee lathered us with smiles and a willingness to help. While breakfast was free for us, there were no vegan options, I never chance it, so I had meal planned ahead of time which worked perfectly as my room had a mini-fridge and a microwave. Woohoo!!! My colleagues did have breakfast and enjoyed the French Toast. The coffee was sub-par but luckily, there's not only a Starbucks but a Dunkins within walking distance. I finally had to call to get in, but I still wasn't upset. It is now 4:00 am and I haven't been able to sleep as the doors in the hall constantly open and slam. This has been going on ALL NIGHT. I realize there is a fine line between having a door close securely and slamming. You should figure out where that line is....... You might say but isn't that a guest issue? I'm 50' from the front desk. Tell me no one heard this going on. I would usually say something nice about close proximity to the interchange, highway, shopping, food or the Oaks conference center, but the traffic noise was 422 was annoying ALL NIGHT. Some better windows would be great. And yes the pillows are absolutely terrible. On the bright side, it's clean. Fairly well kept. Not a great Hilton experience.

They mentioned they served dinner in the lobby along with complimentary beer and wine. That night, it was lasagna with breadsticks. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It did seem like my room had been heavily sprayed with air freshener when I arrived. It wasn't unpleasant, but it was strong and I think it would bother someone with allergies. I was also a few rooms down from a laundry room, so that also could have been contributing to the scent. The fitness room was small (like most hotels) but very clean with modern equipment. I was always able to get a treadmill--they have 2--both times I went down.

When housekeeping came to service our room, they only took out the trash and replaced the towels. They did not make the bed or clean the kitchen area. At check-in, we were told that the kitchen would be cleaned during room service, so this was disappointing. Overall, while the location was great, the housekeeping service fell short of what was promised. Because of this experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

Our room was very generously sized and the kitchenette provided an impressive amount of counter space. I was very appreciative that we were allowed to bring our dogs, it turns out that Residence Inns are pet friendly! There is TONS of parking including pretty close to the side doors. Check in was seamless, there was no line and it took about 2 seconds. Part of that was because the person didn't provide us with any info whatsoever regarding the hotel or the breakfast or any amenities. Contrary to another review I am seeing here, there was no traffic noise and there is no "major highway" nearby. There is a street adjacent to the hotel but I didn't notice a lot of traffic. We could barely hear anything from our room. The bed was soft and comfortable. The shower was spacious with a moderate amount of water pressure. There was tons of space and countertops for me to put my gazillion toiletries. There are also two restaurants within very minimal walking distance as well as a dunkin donuts. Wawa is a short drive away and you can be certain I made myself very well acquainted with the staff here in just a few short days. The 2 stars is because on our last night (thank god it was the last night) I was returning from my last pee before bed when I noticed a baby cockroach crawling on our bed, its little likely disgusting feet caressing the sheets that would proceed to place near my face. Needless to say I killed it and promptly flushed it down the toilet but was horrified by that experience and spent the rest of the night wondering how many others were hiding.

The help is wonderful, polite and friendly. I only drink water so I requested a pitcher and was granted that. The table settings were beautiful at our party and I loved the centerpieces with a nice flair with Christmas Colors. The room was beautiful with an ample dance floor. For appetizers we had small bacon wrapped scallops, pork filled crispy pot stickers, mushroom caps stuffed with crab meat and vegetable egg rolls - all were great. I especially loved the scallops and crab stuffed mushrooms! We had a Mediterranean type table with cheeses, hummus, tabouli (I think?) & naan style bread triangles. Everything was enjoyable. For entrees we had a buffet serve yourself. On the menu was salmon with lemon butter sauce, thin slices top sirloin (I didn't have that), chicken Marsala w broccoli rabe (which was tough) the broccoli rabe was undercooked, salads, a caprese type salad, and potato wedges. We had an amazing mashed potato bar with red bliss and sweet potatoes too. Butter, brown sugar, scallions, sour cream, shredded cheese-all was wonderful and our group loved them a lot! The salmon was juicy but the sauce was gelatinous and I scraped it off because it was so heavy. I thought the salmon seemed to be a good quality so I didn't think all that sauce was necessary. The help was on top of the buffet situation and replenished the trays in a timely fashion. Desserts were unremarkable. The chocolate Yule log was good, the brownies looked like and tasted like Little Debbie, the cookies weren't very appetizing & were obviously commercially made, and there was a white strawberry cake w whipped cream icing. The location is great and close to the office but the hotel is in need of a face lift. The help was attentive though and we all had an enjoyable time.
