We had our company Christmas Party here and have for many many years.I've noticed many of the same servers from prior years so that's a good thing! The help is wonderful, polite and friendly. I only drink water so I requested a pitcher and was granted that. The table settings were beautiful at our party and I loved the centerpieces with a nice flair with Christmas Colors. The room was beautiful with an ample dance floor. For appetizers we had small bacon wrapped scallops, pork filled crispy pot stickers, mushroom caps stuffed with crab meat and vegetable egg rolls - all were great. I especially loved the scallops and crab stuffed mushrooms! We had a Mediterranean type table with cheeses, hummus, tabouli (I think?) & naan style bread triangles. Everything was enjoyable. For entrees we had a buffet serve yourself. On the menu was salmon with lemon butter sauce, thin slices top sirloin (I didn't have that), chicken Marsala w broccoli rabe (which was tough) the broccoli rabe was undercooked, salads, a caprese type salad, and potato wedges. We had an amazing mashed potato bar with red bliss and sweet potatoes too. Butter, brown sugar, scallions, sour cream, shredded cheese-all was wonderful and our group loved them a lot! The salmon was juicy but the sauce was gelatinous and I scraped it off because it was so heavy. I thought the salmon seemed to be a good quality so I didn't think all that sauce was necessary. The help was on top of the buffet situation and replenished the trays in a timely fashion. Desserts were unremarkable. The chocolate Yule log was good, the brownies looked like and tasted like Little Debbie, the cookies weren't very appetizing & were obviously commercially made, and there was a white strawberry cake w whipped cream icing. I stayed at this hotel for one night, I paid for it myself not using points or any type of promotion. The good: the room looked recently refreshed, the shower was new. The bed was very comfortable. My room was clean. The AC worked perfectly, you could refrigerate food in my room it was so awesomely cold (the same could not be said for the last 2 hotels I stayed in in as many weeks, with the same "eco" AC system that goes off when you leave the room). The not so good: the decor from the hallways to the rooms is so dark and dreary looking. Dark furniture, dark carpet, the doors in the hallways are so dark. I honestly didn't feel safe in this hotel for some reason, nothing specifically happened, it was just the atmosphere and those creepy round hallways. My room overlooked the party patio which was very loud, but it seemed to end around 10:30ish, so no issues there. I know I won't ever stay there again. I rather stay somewhere better even if it's not convenient to the casino. read more

DISGUSTING. I have stayed here multiple times, and after this last experience - NEVER again. First, the check in representative did not even want to provide me with a room and acted as though they were sold out. Then, I was given the most disgusting room in a basement. No windows. Poo stains in the toilet. No air conditioning. Then, when I kindly approached the desk and requested to be moved to another room, I was given the room right next door. Also in the basement. Also absolutely filthy. There was trash right outside my door. Sticky wet white slime on the door handle of the bathroom. And once again, I returned to the front desk to be reassigned to a different room. The customer service representative was so rude and condescending, she clearly did not want me as a client here. I am appalled at the way I was treated. I was finally reassigned to a room on the 10th floor after much fuss and discussion. How unfortunate for such a well known place. Do yourself a favor and spend your money staying at a much neater, friendlier hotel in the area. read more

I am a frequent traveler and this was probably one of the filthiest hotels I've ever stayed in. Besides our rooms (there were 7 of me and my coworkers) having no windows, mine literally was covered in garbage. Garbage by the nightstand, under the bed (including dead rose petals...gross!) the coffee pot full of old grounds and dripping with coffee. I complained to the front desk who took my name and said that a manager would call me, no call ever came. I was mortified that I actually brought my coworkers to this hotel. Ok I need to start off saying I am pretty biased about this place. My fiancé took me here recently to pop the question ...so I all I see are hearts and champagne bubbles in my mind's eye when I think back on the evening. That said, this hotel is amazing! We stayed in a fantasy theme suite on the secret top level of the building, I didn't even know those kinds of rooms existed outside of the movies! Each room was named and the door was decorated to reflect the theme (i.e. - Cleopatra's Tent, Atlantis, Leather & Lace...and one very cryptic door with no name just some 80's-fantastic computer imagery, Tron perhaps?) I was so intrigued by each one it took every ounce of willpower not to knock and beg to be allowed to see inside. Our suite was Gigi, a very ornate Loius XIV style of room. Beautiful furniture, gorgeous chandeliers and a HUGE Jacuzzi in the room made for a very romantic evening. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We had originally planned at dining in one of the two restaurants but there was a youth conference also in residence and the place was overrun with teenagers, so the front desk suggested we have more intimate champagne dinner in our room and it was perfect. Everything was clean, nothing grossed me out and I checked. And considering this section of rooms was basically designed for skeevy behavior that's pretty impressive. There are a couple of quirks associated with the fantasy suites. For maximum "privacy" there are no windows in the rooms and the elevator doesn't go to the top floor, you need to take the elevator to floor 14 and walk up one very small flight of stairs. Which I guess makes sense; wouldn't want any unsuspecting kids stumbling into the adult playground. Yes it's kind of cheesy. But I like a little cheese and I loved every minute of it. These block of rooms make for a very unique, hilarious, and unforgettable hotel stay. read more

I had to stay at this hotel for a night a few days ago. Gladly it was just one night since it was pretty lackluster. While the property looks reasonable from the outside and the lobby, the rooms are in bad need of updating. When you first walk in, it looks decent. But upon closer inspection the carpet was stained and ripped, the bathroom had rusted finishes, and the walls had dirty vents and cracked paint. As far as in room amenities go, what was there was pretty good. For example, they had Sleep Number bed, free WiFi and a high def TV. Not too shabby. But on the downside, they also had an antiquated coffee maker with horrendous coffee, no fridge, noisy A/C, and very heavily used bedding. So in the end, not a bad place to get some sleep, but in my opinion, you should expect and get better at a Radisson. read more

The Radisson Valley Forge has lots of potential to be a great hotel. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are large, the relaxing pool, and the hotel is quiet, with only 20 rooms on each floor. Other than that there is so much that is so wrong, it is hard to know where to start. Safety. Two of Three elevators were out of order most of the 5 days, 4 nights we were there. Had there been an emergency, it would have been impossible to evacuate the hotel without accidents. It was most inconvenient, time consuming and frustrating. Hotel staff were well aware - I questioned the malfunctions several times; nothing was done to fix this while we were there. With only one elevator working it took an hour to check out. With no AC vents in the hallways, and 100 degree temperatures outside, it was hot and sticky waiting to catch the one elevator that was working. Front Desk. Not helpful or friendly. When I asked for an hour extension to checkout, I was initially told alright. But that representative was reprimanded and overruled by the Front Desk Manager who told me the hotel was expecting 200 people to check in the next day. Hmmm. Isn't the next day -- tomorrow? Or 24 -30 hours from then? She was just rude. Venue. Most of conference facilities are located on the lower lobby. People attending meetings had large, heavy, cumbersome equipment and large instruments, which required rollers or carts. With only one elevator, very few people could manage the stairs; the meeting schedule had to be adjusted while people tried to deal with trying to catch the one working elevator. Additionally, some people had to get a hotel employee escort them through the lower level back kitchen hallways to get to the assigned venue where the hotel had planned our event. That was time consuming and challenging. Tasteless Food. The primary restaurant is closed for renovation. There were no other choices except to walk to the Casino, not that far, but inconvenient and for mediocre food. The food that came with the banquets and conference events was terrible. Overcooked, dry meat, soggy roasted potatoes and mushy canned green beans. Pathetic. I would not stay here again should I return to King of Prussia. read more

I came here for a week long work training session and enjoyed my stay. This hotel is not like the newer ones. The toilets run slow and use a lot of water. The windows are old and arent sealed well so a draft was always in my room. However, the hotel tries to keep up with the times. The TV's have cable (even HBO). They also offer free wireless internet. However, at times it can be slow in the room. In the conference rooms, the wireless runs pretty quickly. The beds are awesome! They are sleep number beds. I had never tried one before so I found them to be so interesting! Very comfy! The set up of the hotel is unique. The Radisson is connected to the Scanticon. The conference rooms/training rooms are situated in the middle of these two hotels. The hotel offers a shuttle service every hour. The mall is about 4 miles away and there is a Walmart around too. Although I didnt use the shuttle service, I thought it was a nice service provided. There is plenty of hotel parking and it is free. There was hot water in the morning on almost all days except for one. I think the hotel was completely booked on this one day. I would recommend waking up early to avoid a luke warm/cold shower if you know the hotel is completely full. Overall I enjoyed my stay. The staff was nice and greeted us each time we returned from dinner. I would recommend that the hotel upgrade their windows, or at least seal them. With negative degree temperatures outside, the draft was a problem for me. read more

There is only one word that accurately captures the Radisson at Valley Forge. That word is disgusting. I was given a dirty room with some red gelatinous goo in the hastily made bed. I was then moved to a different room which was only slightly cleaner. Ignoring the uncomfortable beds, The main problem in this room was a slow drain. By the. End of my shower I was standing in 6" of water. The front desk provided a voucher for free breakfast at the tavern in the hotel. After waiting 20 minutes for the eggs Benedict, I was served an inedible plate of mush. I went to the front desk to request a feedback form only to be told they don't provide feedback forms. Finally, I outside only to find that the grounds crew had blown leaf debris all over my car. Do not stay here. read more

The first frustration was that I was charged for my entire stay at check in, even after confirming with 2 different people I wouldn't be so I could change the card at the end of my stay to pay. They credited back to the 1st (they say) but it's going to take 5 to 7 days and charged my second card. I've now paid the total amount twice. This is quite possibly the most bizarre hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. I was here for the Philly Show (baseball cards and memorabilia) for a weekend and boy was it weird. To be fair I'm not a huge fan of round hotels to begin with. The rooms are straight up weird. They have goofy suites that make me go eeeee! Luckily I wasn't in a "fantasy suite" but I kind of wish I was as my room left much to the imagination. The layout was weird, corners were crumbling, and the bed was a sleep number bed that didn't work. Again...eeeee! It was a fine room for why I was there but I wouldn't recommend it for those on vacation or anyone looking for a special getaway trip. My least favorite aspect was the maze in getting to the convention room space. It literally took 15 minutes to get from my room through a bazillion different hallways, and finally to the Philly Show spot. Granted, I met some awesome people during the trek but it really was a hike. Overall I really enjoyed the staff and the best food I had during my stay was at the place near the front desk. It was much better than the options near the casino. The wait time for food was way too long there so if you need food stick to the spot near the checkin area! read more

Bed bugs beware. Very disappointed. Please see picture I notified front desk of the bed bugs. I was moved to another room but of course was very worried about it having bed bugs as well. My four day stay was not discounted. This is my second stay there. The beds are not comfortable they feel like air mattresses. The over all cleanliness both times was not good there vending machines are always out of service. They need a deep cleaning on the whole place. Selected this hotel as part of an Expedia package to attend my son's college graduation. Arrived after 1:00 AM after a long flight from the West coast. They had been experiencing warm 90 degree days and my room was very warm, about eighty degrees. The thermostat was ineffectual for cooling the room down, and given the hour we could not get anyone to look at it. The following day I went down for coffee and discovered the hotel does not have soy or almond milk, so had to go out to get coffee. Notified the front desk about the cooling problem in the room, and to their credit they fixed the problem when I was out during the afternoon. Layout of the room was odd in the fact the bathroom sink, counter and mirror are out in the open, while the toilet and shower are enclosed in a tight space. This surely would be awkward if you were travelling with a group and they popped in for whatever reason. read more

This hotel is very "meh." Certainly not my best or worst hotel stay ever. While the hotel is supposed to be smoke free, I swear I was continually able to smell smoke in the lobby. Some renovations would be nice to make some updates, for example the carpet seemed very old. Nothing was totally rundown and falling apart though. Our room was fine and seemed clean. Accommodations included coffee pot and mini fridge. There was no blowdryer which I feel like has become a pretty standard item in most hotel rooms and the shower head was pretty out of date. Our room was about $150 per night which is probably good for this area but I would have liked more. The fitness room was standard in comparison to other hotels I've been in and included 3 treadmills, couple elliptical machine and some free weights. No continental breakfast. Casino attached with a short walk indoors. I was here for a conference in the hotel and was sadly disappointed in the accommodations at the conference as well but I don't know if that's the fault of the hotel or conference budget. Located about 5 min from the Mall and lots of restaurants. I would definitely look into options if I'm back in this area.' read more

On first impressions, the room seemed fine. Clean and quite but with a not so subtle smell of tobacco. Enough to trigger a headache. So i went to bed only to sink into a deformed mattress. As if this was not enough, the heater stopped working, which seems to be a recurring theme with some hotels. Is this a cost saving practice? Not sure. I was so tired i was not interested in switching rooms Next day, i reported issue to front desk. When i returned 9 hours later, my room was so cold I asked for another room. I was moved to a room where the remote was broken but the heater was working. And you could hear your neighbor's private conversation. That's what online booking gets you. read more

My best friend from college was getting married and so six months ago i made my reservation online...which later came back to bite me in the butt. Here I was trying to save a couple bucks ($118 rate as opposed to the $150 rate for wedding guests the hotel was giving them) and it did not work out well for me. A week before the wedding i called the hotel and asked for an early check in, since i'd be driving from VA and didn't want to have to wear my outfit in the car. They said that they couldn't help me until the day of the wedding. And were really snotty about it. So day of wedding... 8am... i called and they were actually nice and said "Sure if you're with the wedding, we'll be happy to accomodate you!' I was excited. Pull up at 215 (for a 330 wedding about 15 minutes away) and go to check in. The guy says "I'm sorry your room isn't ready. Because you didn't book through us, we didn't know you were with the wedding" UG. He ended up telling me i could get dressed in the fitness center changing rooms. Well i get down there. First you need a room key to get in. Obviously i dont have one since I DONT HAVE A ROOM! Luckally some little kid let me in. Then there was no AC in the fitness center. So all the effort i put into straightening my hair and makeup? pointless. After the beautiful ceremony i finally got to check in. Well my two doubles? A king. Which would have been fine, but i was sharing it with a bridesmaid that i had met all of five times and i was worried she would be uncomfortable. So i called down to the desk. No "I'm sorry". Just "well we are very booked up and figured since it was just you, you wouldn't mind the upgrade". And i couldn't say anything since having another person in the room costs $40! So i just shut up and dealt. I will say that the Waterford ballroom was beautiful and the service during the reception was exceptional. And the room itself was fully stocked with sleep number beds and wi fi. But i didn't pay $127 to have to deal with all of the animosity upon checking in. Room seemed nice, however, serious safety issue with a door that lead to an upstairs area (inside our room). Missing stairs, nails sticking out, decrepit and filthy. It caused a fall that left open, bloody wounds. This was reported to the front desk, who seemed to disregard the hazard. We also received a disingenuous email from upper management acting as though they cared about the issue and wanted to rectify it, but then failed to follow up after I had informed him of the issue. As a courtesy, to give the benefit of the doubt that there may actually be proper follow up on this matter, I held off on completing the survey they asked me to complete. After giving a full week to allow for response and not receiving one, I decided to just do the survey. Apparently there is little or no concern about the safety or experience for this companies consumers. Extremely disappointed with the hotel. This is a pretty decent hotel. The room was clean, which for me is the most important part, and spacious. Free water bottles (you mean they don't cost $5 each?!), sleep number beds, and an alarm clock with an iPod dock come with the room. The only real drawback of the room was that you could hear every little noise that went on in the hallway. The hotel has a casino/resort attached to it, but I did not partake since I was in and out in less than 10 hours. There are several restaurants associated with the hotel and casino, but only the tavern in the lobby was open when I checked in late. I reviewed it separately, so I won't discuss it in detail here, but the take home point is: don't bother. Hopefully the other eateries are better. The lobby was clean and updated, and the shuttle service was top notch. Front desk staff were great; however, I scheduled a wake-up call that never came (first time this has happened to me). read more

Was there recently for a wedding. For 170 a night, after taxes, our room was not at all worth it! 1. We were given a "newly renovated" room without a window on the first floor. We had to walk down all of these long hallways and then having a room without a window- it was like staying in a bomb shelter. 2. The shower was terrible. The way it was set up made sure that you had to stand in front of the spout as your turned on the shower, so we were blasted with cold water as we began the shower. Not only that, we had no hot water. 3. The maid kept knocking on our door in the morning and waking us up- even with a Do Not Disturb sign up. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Or at least I would ask for another room. I've also read the reviews about the Sleep Number beds. My family had them and many did not work, also. read more

My first stay at The Radisson Valley Forge was on my wedding night, June 21, 2014. We stayed in a Fantasy Suite and payed in excess of $400.00 for a one night stay. The room was filthy underneath the bed. There was a short in the bathroom light switch and it had sharp corners. I wrote an email addressing my complaint/concerns to Flavia Brittingham, Rooms Coordinator. She was apologetic and offered us a comp room to makeup for our dissatisfaction. Here are the details below of the attempt at redemption below for our comp stay on July 3rd, 2014. July 3, 2014--we were checked in promptly and given our keys. I requested with the front desk clerk a refrigerator and microwave. She said she would check with housekeeping. After an hour of waiting to hear back on this, I called back down to the front desk, she said she had called housekeeping and was awaiting their response regarding availability. I never received either item nor a call about the availability or lack thereof. There is a housekeeping issue with this hotel. Our shampoo bottle was a 1/4 full, when I made a cup of coffee in the morning and put the cream in, it was curdled ruining the chance to get my caffeine. I complained (very calmly) my issue to the front desk woman who was extremely apologetic and asked if there was anything she could do, complimentary breakfast etc. I politely declined. If I were to stay in King of Prussia again I would stay at either the Hyatt House or Hyatt Place, both of which I found to be less money and spotless. They apparently have what the Radisson is missing, housekeeping with attention to detail, and they cost less money. Extremely disappointed. Having a negative experience the night of our wedding I truly thought on the comp stay the staff would have been instructed to go above and beyond, which didn't happen. For $200+ dollars we were given a room in the BASEMENT of the hotel, the room had NO WINDOWS, the king size bed had 4 small pillows on it's entirety, the MINI Fridge was broken, there was no hair dryer, and the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. For Christmas I made a reservation for my husband and I at the Fantasy Suites the Raddison has to offer and we were NOT impressed. Check in was at 3pm but our room wasn't ready till almost 4pm. The rooms are old and outdated and not as clean as I would have expected. The decor of the Leather and Lace room was a bit of a mish mosh. Was it supposed to be a dungeon or an old beer tavern? And whats up with the jungle tree in the entry of the room, did the jungle room have left overs? There were broken curtain rod like things sticking out of the wall and other towel racks that looked like someone was swinging like a monkey from them The jacuzzi tub was old but usable except for the fact that when the jets were on it spayed water a cross the room drenching the millions of mirrors in the room. I'm not a fan of all the mirrors, maybe some people like them. The bathroom was as small as a one you might find in an RV so if your a big and tall guy/girl your kinda SOL. The TV and remote didn't work so well, not that you could hear it over the jets from the jacuzzi. You had to pay for all the movies anyway $17.99 each. The bed is on a platform and we kept tripping over it. Don't turn off the lights because there are NO windows and the room is pitch black so you trip off the platform as you stumble to find a light switch. As an added bonus, the fire alarm was set off at 3 am scaring the living crap out of us! The mini fridge and microwave worked fine. The thermostat for the air conditioning was covered in filth and I had to clean it off myself. Overall the $279 we spent on the room was a waste, and sleeping in the car was just as appealing. Sorry to say but we were very disappointed and the Raddison really needs to do some updates! Your better off taking your $279 and putting it on "black" at the roulette table and hoping to double your money for a stay at a better hotel. Epic Fail for our fantasy night away. read more

Honestly? Better than I thought. After reading the reviews, I was having second thoughts and expected a run-down motel with dirty sheets and broken fixtures. To my surprise, luckily my expectations were low, the staff was very friendly and nice (maybe because I'm from NYC and I'm jaded), and the accommodations weren't bad. We arrived Friday night and there were so many people! There was karaoke going on, a wedding, and a celebration for the casino next door's 3rd anniversary. We found the hotel online and the prices were very affordable. I would stay here again. Just don't go around expecting a five star resort. Plus, there's a casino next door! The front desk provided us with a free pass to get in so that was awesome of them. The only gripe was that the vending machine on our floor was out of every drink and I was dying of thirst! read more

It's one of two hotels on the property and judging by the reviews of the Casino's hotels, it looks like my huisband Rick and I made the right choice. This Radisson is pretty much your standard business hotel. It seems to get a lot of business from the casino and conference center. We had the weekend rate, making it a good value for us. We had the standard room,which was fine for our needs. It had your typical amenities including flat screen TV, coffee maker (always a Susan requirement!) ironing board and iron, etc. The hotel amenities include a fitness center and an outdoor pool. Being that the weather was actually nice, a dip in the pool was refreshing. Now this hotel had a couple of quirks that were certainly eyebrow-raising. First of all, the hotel has been doing renovations, but they've all been on the higher-level floors. They're charging extra for those. We had an unrenovated room, which looked a little dated, hence the 3.5 star review. But it was comfortable and we slept well. All-in-all though the Radisson is a decent choice if you need lodgings in the King of Prussia area. read more

Our ground floor interior room was the largest room we have ever seen. It was modern and had a marvelous walk in shower. The hotel personnel were all the pleasant and helpful. We found it on Hotwire at a very reasonable rate. It had a nice bar. It has a casino adjacent to itnut we didn't go in. We were exceedingly happy with our stay. read more

I came up here to attend a conference for one day and I just needed a place to stay the night. I might have rated it four stars except for a few things: 1. I didn't realize it was part of the Valley Forge Casino and Resort. So when I was driving around looking for it, I didn't immediately "see" it. I saw all the marquees for the casino. Finally my GPS told me this was the place. Neither the website photos nor anything else (to my memory) indicate that it's really part of a casino. 2. They have Sleep Number beds or, at least, in the room I was in. I used to own a Sleep Number bed. I do NOT own a Sleep Number bed anymore because I was never able to sleep well on them. I am not a big fan of air mattresses, generally, and certainly not in a hotel. 3. The room was freezing when I came in so I adjusted the temp and about 10 minutes later the heat came on (whoa! I didn't see that coming) so I turned the temp down. However, the thermostat is programmable so in the middle of the inght I was sweating and had to get up and turn the temp down,again. 4. The staff member who checked me was not as bubbly as most hotel registration people are. She was cordial but wasn't really what I call welcoming. Now the good stuff: The room was nice and large. Nice bathroom and the essential amenities (shampoo and the like). It wasn't tricked out but it had a nice TV, desk and easy chair for watching TV or reading. All the lighting was adequate the the alarm clock had a docking station for an iPhone or iPod. What I liked best was that they had a power strip plugged into the wall so I could easily plug in my CPAP machine (I have sleep apnea) without having to hunt high an low for an outlet or move furniture around to get to an outlet. Big plus, in my book. The bedding was very nice - pillows and comforter - even if it got a little warn in the night. So I give it a solid three stars. I wouldn't return only because I can't stand Sleep Number beds. Some people love them. To each his own. read more

Really impressed by this site (the Venue). Just attended a wedding here. Cocktail hour was great. Of memorable note were the roasted veggies - sweet potatoes, mushrooms, eggplant, asparagus, all Delish! For the main course, filet was exquisitely perfectly done med rare, the green beans al dente. The salad and The crab cake fell a bit short but I really didn't care with everything else. Dessert was the crepe station and wedding cake. I expected the crepe station to be better, but I was surprise to find the coconut lemon wedding cake was the clear front runner. Accessibility into the location left a lot to be desired, especially if you need it. But staff was as accommodating as could be with what they had. We had an interior room, which my hubby would have loved (good for sleeping in, no light). Beds were very good. H read more
