Stayed here for three nights while in town for the convention at the adjacent expo center. They were in the process of a remodel which is never good as a customer, though we never really felt the effects of it during our stay. I will say that there were several hiccups with our stay: 1) I had to order housekeeping after staying two days. One a three day stay, we should be getting housekeeping for new towels, beds being changed etc. 2) The breakfast area was a train wreck every morning. There was one woman who was in way over her head. Somehow with a sold out hotel she was not prepared to premade food for refilling and me and 45 of my closest friends were just standing around jostling for position so when the powder eggs came out hel we got a scoop. Waffle batter - out. Forks - out. Syrup - out. Orange juice - out. Was tough. One minute it was omelets, the next it was eggs. Front desk manager was nice - but overall this place needs some retraining when their remodel is done.

Shower bar & towel holder falling off wall

The only nice thing about this hotel is the staff. The room was reported to have nonfiction air conditioning, ceiling, fan falling off, and rooms are dirty. The hallway stinks, there are leaks in the roof, unsafe and broken furniture. We were told maintenance would be here Monday, 2 days later we're told there is no maintenance. Management said they will add points to our account, but we can't use them on this day! Like we would ever come back to a Hampton Inn. Worst hotel ever!

Stayed here for a night and started seeing bites on my legs. They obviously don't clean their sheets so well because I have a lot bed bug bites.

My review is from a stay in January 2025. *^* The Mainstay Inn is a small independently owned hotel in the heart of Phoenixville's commercial corridor - picture an area with great restaurants, breweries, shops, and the legendary Colonial Theater. That is its most valuable draw, as there are no other hotels around - the closest is 2 miles away. I reserved a room, as a local, because the colonial had an all day movie festival that ended at 10:30 PM. Oh, and it was snowing. I parked in the adjacent city owned lot. The hotel has a small number of spots behind the building and they fill up. The room was very clean , though dated. Actual room keys! Patterned bedspread! It was small, as in no chair or desk or whatever. My room faced the parking lot. I was impressed that it was quiet. I felt safe and comfy. The next morning I had muffins & fruit & tea from their breakfast bar before checking out. Staff were professional and friendly. It's a comfy, quiet small hotel in an unbeatable location. Thru are probably already sold out for Blobfest next year - it's that perfect. If you're looking for expansive space and luxury amenities, it may not be for you. I have seen photos of what the new owners are doing and it looks great.

The rooms were very clean and appeared to be newly remodeled. you're given a set of keys to your door, which I think was super cute nowadays people go out of their way to experience retro style things. So an inn with keys to the room was super fun to me! The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. We stayed for a girls' weekend, and it was the perfect amount of space to get ready and relax before heading out to explore. The inn is owned by a friendly couple who truly made us feel at home. Highly recommend!

To say we were spoiled, would be an understatement. Every employee lathered us with smiles and a willingness to help. The checkin was easy and my room on the 2nd floor at the end was perfect for me-just the way I like it. While breakfast was free for us, there were no vegan options, I never chance it, so I had meal planned ahead of time which worked perfectly as my room had a mini-fridge and a microwave. Woohoo!!! My colleagues did have breakfast and enjoyed the French Toast. The coffee was sub-par but luckily, there's not only a Starbucks but a Dunkins within walking distance. The bartender pour a deliciously cold draft of Stella's one night - God Bless. The Hilton Garden Inn Valley Forge is an excellent stay for pleasure and for business.

I finally had to call to get in, but I still wasn't upset. It is now 4:00 am and I haven't been able to sleep as the doors in the hall constantly open and slam. This has been going on ALL NIGHT. I realize there is a fine line between having a door close securely and slamming. You should figure out where that line is....... You might say but isn't that a guest issue? I'm 50' from the front desk. Tell me no one heard this going on. I would usually say something nice about close proximity to the interchange, highway, shopping, food or the Oaks conference center, but the traffic noise was 422 was annoying ALL NIGHT. Some better windows would be great. And yes the pillows are absolutely terrible. On the bright side, it's clean. Fairly well kept. Not a great Hilton experience.

Our room was very generously sized and the kitchenette provided an impressive amount of counter space. I was very appreciative that we were allowed to bring our dogs, it turns out that Residence Inns are pet friendly! There is TONS of parking including pretty close to the side doors. Check in was seamless, there was no line and it took about 2 seconds. Part of that was because the person didn't provide us with any info whatsoever regarding the hotel or the breakfast or any amenities. Contrary to another review I am seeing here, there was no traffic noise and there is no "major highway" nearby. There is a street adjacent to the hotel but I didn't notice a lot of traffic. We could barely hear anything from our room. The bed was soft and comfortable. The shower was spacious with a moderate amount of water pressure. There was tons of space and countertops for me to put my gazillion toiletries. There are also two restaurants within very minimal walking distance as well as a dunkin donuts. Wawa is a short drive away and you can be certain I made myself very well acquainted with the staff here in just a few short days. The 2 stars is because on our last night (thank god it was the last night) I was returning from my last pee before bed when I noticed a baby cockroach crawling on our bed, its little likely disgusting feet caressing the sheets that would proceed to place near my face. Needless to say I killed it and promptly flushed it down the toilet but was horrified by that experience and spent the rest of the night wondering how many others were hiding.
