I recently stayed at this Tru by Hilton, and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and modern. One of the standout features was the coffee bar, which offered a great selection of delicious brews that really kick-started my mornings. The snack bar was great and was stocked with a variety of frozen dinners and snacks that were perfect for a quick bite. It's great to have convenient options available, especially when you're on the go. Breakfast served daily was another highlight; the variety ensured there was something for everyone. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. My room was clean and comfortable with plenty of plug outlets and even USB plugs. Our stay was overall good. The customer service was good and staff were friendly. Our room, however, was in really rough shape. The bathroom specifically looked very rough. We stayed in Room 401. See pictures of the wallpaper that was hanging on by a thread. One section was literally being held up with a push pin. This room should not be stayed in until the bathroom is renovated. Unacceptable to rent this room out, so I have to give 1 star. This falls directly on hotel management, not the regular staff members who were great during our stay. read more

I was traveling on business and had a last-minute visit to Houston and needed a place to rest for the night before my flight in the AM. While the bed was very comfortable and room sufficient, I was not fond of the clock being an hour off. I settled in late and didn't even realize it when I programmed my alarm. I would like to think this could be something they can check during turnovers. I luckily made it to the airport in time, but this could have been a start to a long day if I missed my flight. Overall, the staff were great, friendly (even at 2AM when I needed Tylenol). For something reasonably priced and comfortable I would stay again.... but definitely now checking clocks on my own in the future. While I didn't use the outdoor area it was cute. read more

Checked in room 101. Stinks from mildew, musty, mold. Front desk said they could not assign another room because our reservation was a King and all they had unassigned was a double Queen. Also, they were sold out, and couldn't assign this King room to anyone else because of the odor? So they know about the odor (because they didn't go check my claim). The front desk clerk had a smart a-- attitude and smirk. I stay at this hotel 4x a year, she acknowledged that. Fortunately I was able to secure a room at the Holiday Inn Express across the same parking lot. The HI Express room is sparkling clean and fresh smelling. Tru by Hilton-Webster has lost my business. Having stayed at a Tru hotel twice now, I can say it is personally my least favorite Hilton property. While I appreciate contemporary style in general, I find having no carpet in the guest rooms uncomfortable. The floor feels unclean and makes me want to keep my shoes on at all times. Not very relaxing after driving several hours from out of town. I suppose if you just need a place to rest your head overnight, it wouldn't be a big deal. I chose this hotel for the convenient location off 45. It is close to lots of restaurants and stores. There's even a Costco within walking distance. Checking in was fine although I prefer to not have to stop by the front desk to do so. My digital key was not activated as requested when booking. They needed me to update my credit card on file which I know I already did beforehand. The clerk was not very welcoming and her professionalism lacking. Their market items are displayed at the front desk giving convenient store vibes. The lobby was big and had lots of areas to hang out. Oh, if don't like noise, choose a room facing the front of the hotel. My room was located above the pool in the back and there were people laughing and shouting at 11:00 pm. I went to management . They promised me they would comp me days.. I checked in at 2 am and crashed.. went to work and I was horrified !!!! I remove all of the beds to make sure I get all of my chargers.. when I moved the pillow , I saw a huge blood stain below it !!!How grosss !!!! I emailed Hilton , management all of it. Upon check in, my parents were coming into the room before me! They were awesome about making sure my parents were able to check in smoothly and that the payments were be charged to me. We stayed here for three days and two nights. I love the location of this hotel! It's so convenient for all the shopping areas and the space center! The rooms were nice. I wish the water pressure was better in the showers, but love the large amounts of shampoo and conditioner they give you. The breakfast was cool! I have never seen pancakes made this way before. They were really flavorful and loved the taste! I remember seeing it ends at 9am. Overall, we had no issues and was pleased with the amount of parking they had too! We stayed at the Tru by Hilton. It was a nice hotel. Upon entry the lobby is really cool. It has plenty of places to sit and hang out and it has a large snack area. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. We got a room on the first floor which was convenient. The room was clean, and bright. It had two queen beds, a large Television, a really long counter/ desk top that held the TV and had space to put a chair under it. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were soft. I slept really well. The bathroom had a sink, large mirror, and counter. The towels were stored on a shelf underneath the sink. The bathroom had a shower which I prefer. My only complaint about the shower is that there was no place to put my bar soap or razor for shaving. I use bar soap that I bring from home when I travel. This is a nice, quiet place to stay. No elephants stomping on the floor above. No noise from neighbors on either side, or across. Had everything we needed. Breakfast was good, although adding muffins for the kids would be helpful. The ONE reason I give it 4 stars is the water is the absolute nastiest tasting water I have ever had. I went to fill up my water bottle by the fitness center. I took one taste and almost threw up. It tasted like a swamp. I poured it out and bought bottled water. They use that water mix up the strawberry kiwi juice in the morning too. Barf. They need a serious water filtration system to remove the swamp from the water. Thus four stars. read more

I was in Houston on business and my admin booked me into this hotel (I'm a Hilton honors member and she always puts me in a Hilton hotel). Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had since my college days. There was no coffee, carpet, min-fridge or much of anything in the actual room. The tv in the room had no channels/service whatsoever, only two apps that I didn't feel like logging into (why would I log into a tv in a random hotel with my my personal account?). We were going on a cruise and wanted a hotel outside of Houston. This is a newer hotel with clean rooms, soft sheets, and friendly staff. We checked in online but since we were arriving late I called ahead and asked could they put a crib in our room. It was there when we arrived which was perfect! The hotel sits next to a mall and there's just about everything you can think of within 5-10 minutes of it. The parking lot is very well lit which I appreciated. Another thing I appreciated were there were plenty of towels in the bathroom when we arrived. There's also a mini fridge in the rooms which was perfect for my sons milk & snacks. Breakfast was just ok but enough for my kids. They had this very cool pancake making machine, eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, yogurt, juice, and coffee. It was unfortunate that I couldn't take advantage of the amenities- Fitness center was available but limited to 5 people, didn't see anyone in there and pool was available with a 20ppl max capacity but the area was so tiny, had a tough time imagining that many there with distancing. This hotel is rare. It may seem like a budget no frill hotel... however it's not. There's a night employee named Eric- let me tell you.. this guy is top tier and should be in sales making $6 figures. I arrived at 10:30PM after my ac went out at home and Eric was extremely helpful, sympathetic and really just amazing. I've been here two days and he greets me and my family by our last name and asks how the repairs are coming and reassures that we're in good hands at TRU. It was my first time staying at Tru and although our basic needs were met, I wasn't fond of the dorm vibes and not having an in room microwave. There is a microwave in the lobby for use but who wants to go to the lobby to warm up a late night snack from an earlier meal? The breakfast served was the scarcest I've seen ... there was yogurt, hard boiled eggs, plain bagel, scrambled eggs, apples, bottled water and juice but comes in clutch if hungry! While there, I noticed that I'd forgotten a toothbrush and requested a complimentary one and was advised no complimentary and that the toothbrush alone was $5! The lemon sugar soap and body wash offered smelled fantastic and I'd love the ability to purchase . Overall , the hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly . This location offered lots of shopping and dining within walking distance and is about 30 minutes to Kemah and 30 minutes to downtown Houston depending upon traffic. If staying in the Houston area, I'd highly recommend this location but don't forget your toothbrush. read more

Very nice hotel located in a great area next to Costco and nearby shopping stores. The rooms and bathrooms are great and spacious. Prefer the wooden floors vs carpet so didn't mind it, just have to be careful when walking as you can hear every step. Staff was kind and cleanliness was good in rooms, could be better in lobby (see microwave pic) and pool. Took a star away because the breakfast definitely needs improvement. Food was not fresh (old apples) and found mold in one of the bagels. The juices tasted horrible and the pancake maker was not working properly. The attendants were friendly, however, very laid back. When asked if they would refill egg tray for example, there was no sense of urgency and would take their sweet time. One last thing, expect also for food to run out as staff is welcome to enjoy breakfast as well. Waking up early between 6-7 is your best option in order to get some breakfast. read more

I usually never review hotels, but this one definitely deserves a low rating. Being that this place just opened 3 weeks ago, I was excited to stay at a brand new Hilton establishment. Upon walking in to the lobby, I noticed a very brightly lit, chic, and modern space. Long story short, but we could not be accommodated because the computer wasn't running our credit card after being inputted at least twice. We understand that this is a brand new establishment and the employee was fairly courteous, but she failed to call for back up help and we ended up wasting about 20 minutes of our time. We did not have any reservation, but I have never been to a hotel in which a walk-in was a problem. Perhaps better training could be incorporated into this hotel's training. Until then, I will gladly bring business to the very efficient and comfortable Holiday Inn next door. read more

We stayed here because it was close to NASA (about 5 miles). I tend to like my hotel rooms cold when I sleep and this hotel runs on window units (there's a sign on each wall unit that says it doesn't work). My dad's room went down to 60 degrees, but ours only went to 66. You would think 66 would be cold, but we were sweaty all night. Beds weren't that comfortable. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everyone above you, in the hallways, and on the staircases. Requested room service and they never showed up. Breakfast was very basic - eggs and grits and machine that makes miniature pancakes. Pool is tiny. Gym small. Rooms very basic. I can't wait to get home and sleep after 3 nights of very little shut eye. I gave 2 stars because the staff was friendly and nice and none of this is their fault. Would not stay here again and unfortunately cannot recommend. read more

This has literally been the worst hotel experience of my life. First time I have ever had my personal belongings stolen from my room while out. As if this was not bad enough, the entire staff including the manager offered no help whatsoever. She said she "reviewed the cameras" and saw no indication of anything stolen, but obviously these room cleaners know they are on camera and surely wouldn't be so reckless to not hide their thievery. The personal belongings were small items and could have easily been concealed inside a bed sheet or folded towel to be hidden from the camera. Strangely enough, among the items stolen, 2 bottles of alcohol. One was an unfinished champaign bottle which was returned to lost and found. However, the other was a large bottle of Maker's Mark which suspiciously managed to end up in the manager's office. For full disclosure, I will say that although she did not voluntarily let me know about the Makers mark when I had originally reported my items were stolen, she did admit she had possession of the liquor in her office and handed it over to me after I later recalled it was one of the items left behind that went missing. Would it not only make sense for both alcohol bottles to have been given to the lost and found? Why was only the cheap champagne sent to list and found but the expensive whiskey sent to the manager's office? read more

Will never stay at a Tru property again. The only thing going for this particular hotel is location, which is why I chose it to begin with. That being said, this was by far my worst experience at a Hilton property, to date. I booked this hotel for a week-long business stay and the entire experience went from bad to worse. Check in was terrible. I arrived before 4pm to one employee at the property and 7 people in line ahead of me (the one in front of me checking out due to disappointment). As a Hilton Honors member I am used to certain perks, like bottled water when I check in... at this location you receive ONE room temp bottle and are told you can refill it for free in the lobby or restroom. That should have been indication enough to go elsewhere... After more than a half hour I finally made it to my room, which was ok, but tiny... literally all bed with about 2 feet on either side to move around and my Hilton "preferences" were not even considered. The next morning, I went downstairs for breakfast to be greeted by bagels, waffles and cold cereal. I ended up at a fast food spot down the road. Half way through my stay I requested house keeping, which ended up being bare minimum. They made my bed (same sheets/blanket) & emptied the trash, but that was it. Nothing was cleaned. To add insult to injury, the same day a bus load of young, entitled children (sports team) showed up and were allowed to run amuck in the hotel. The noise was relentless (and the parents allowed it). Needless to say, I will NEVER stay at a Tru property again. I'll stick with my Hampton locations... At least there you, regardless of location, you get what you pay for and are taken care of as a patron. Just say NO to Tru by Hilton... especially in Webster, TX... There's a lovely Holiday Inn Express in the same parking lot... read more

This location charges a super high non-refundable pet fee. The floors are cheap laminate aka no additional work needed to tidy up after your pet if they are already sweeping and mopping properly. Nice hotel looks brand new. It was a little hard to find its off in the back but I used Google Maps and found it. Its literally next to everything. The mall, restaurants, shops, etc. Robert was nice and very helpful with our quick check-in. Although I wasn't aware of the deposit they required (which I still have not gotten back). Disappointed in the most of my stay but I couldn't be any more pleased with the staff. Every staff member I met was friendly and helpful; however the there were several issues with the remainder of my experience that were unsatisfactory. The photographs of the hotel on the website are deceptive (as an example photos of the bathroom depict several grab bars in the shower and around the toilet which would make a handicap room a moot issue). My wife. myself. and one of the people traveling with us are mildly physically challenged so the grab bars are important. After a call to the hotel and verification regarding the grab bars I made the reservation. There was one bar in the shower and none around the toilet, The mattress in our room was uncomfortable and apparently old because there indentations from many previous sleepers. Our room was small and the furnishings were austere, not what one would expect for the cost. Breakfast was offered from 6am until 9am the casual traveler would probably not take advantage, we didn't. OMG! What an excellent hotel! We are visiting NASA (it's like 5 min away) ! The hotel design has a "retro-space- modern" look and feel to it! Its clean, smells excellent when you walk thru the doors we were very impressed! The rooms are spacious the bathrooms are huge and unlike any we have visited, they have a "cruise ship" quality to them. The breakfast was hot and very well prepared. Need a second pancake machine as it is very cool and everyone wants to try and they serve all breakfast favorites plus a huge pot of "real" grits that are made to perfection! The staff is attentive, kind and very personable. The pool is clean and well maintained. The game room has excellent "family interactive" choices and a movie area. I got push back when questioning why the guest were allowed to not wear mask. When I got upset and raised my voice I was reminded that kids were in the areas SO MY LOUD VOICE IS WORSE THAN A VIRUS WITH NO CURE? Lisa Osbourne is a terrible representative of Tru Hilton. Maybe guest relations shouldn't be a job field she works in. She should learn to enforce the states guidelines and worry less about how her friends my think of her. read more

Interesting hotel. So this Tru brand by Hilton is supposed to cater to millennials, in the sense that millennials like smaller rooms and a lot of USB ports. Well, the USB ports are very convenient so they got me there, and it is nice and modern looking in a great location (by NASA, Costco, and Navy Federal). But it's Houston, so it rains, and having a tile floor in the bedroom area just makes for a really messy floor to walk on after you take your shoes off. Not sure I know too many millennials or any others who want that feeling. Either way, my experience wasn't bad, but it was only maybe $10 cheaper than a normal hotel, so we'll see if I go back. read more
