A step up from a convenient store. There produce is horrible it turns with in a few days. It's like they buy trailer loads of old produce. The store prices are very very high and because of it being a small store there very limited. All there stores are the same they just exist. Middleboro has over 25,000 people in it. You would think the selectman would pay attention to what the taxpayers need. A real supermarket Wegmans marketbasket Super Shaw's or Roche Brothers! read more

its a pretty good store, however Jessica, the front end supervisor, was extremely rude to one of the cashiers. the cashier asked a simple question, and Jessica proceeded to embarrass her, and act as though she was inconveniencing her. She claimed she was "very busy" but went back to her desk and started to start eating and chatting with other employees. read more

I love trucchi's for there selection of spices, candies, and nuts that you can buy as much or little as you want. The deli is excellent friendly people that cut as thick or thin as you like. I have been buying the pub burgers 85/15 which come out amazing on the grill. The asparagus is over priced and always on the thick side so I buy that elsewhere. Very clean store. They always have plenty of staff so you can check out quickly. read more

Trucchi's Supermarkets is an independent, family-owned and operated business with a handful of locations scattered throughout Southern Mass. They had their long anticipated grand opening of its new store in Middleboro last weekend. The Store: A complete renovation, from the previously decrepit Stop & Shop, is now finished at the 45,000 square-foot building. Highlights and details throughout the store are intended to capture the essence of greater Middleboro. An enormous full color bog mural is dedicated to the indigenously grown cranberry. Overall the store is quite clean (as you'd expect in a new store), well lit product is grouped as you'd expect. Standard Stuff: Inside are the typical full-service meat, deli, seafood, bakery, produce and floral departments. Prices seem typical, service was polite. Non-standard Stuff: Fresh popping popcorn as you enter sets the mood right. Nice selection of specialty cheeses and imported Italian products. Extensive selection of prepared and packaged food for the time constraint evenings. Huge variety of fruits and nuts. A cafe with seating, wireless access, serving espresso and gelato! Lastly, a bank open 7 days a week. Oh and they unload your groceries into the car, nice old-school touch. Wish List: A bigger selection of natural foods, some lively music and food sample selections. I love getting free-food! And no lobster? I never get it but this is southeastern mass, gotta offer the tasty critters. Opening Day I'm a bit odd in that I actually like to go food shopping. I enjoy wheeling an aluminum cart around and serving myself! But opening day was a madhouse. Giveaway raffles, fun activities for children including face painting, balloon artist and visits from Finn the Goldfish and Chester Cheetah only added to the complete chaos. It was like a post-apocalyptic 60 minutes of misery with bumper cart wars and long lines of despair and I wanted out-badly. Naively I thought it could be Middleboro's little secret (as I post a review) but clearly it's much too late for that. In retrospect, I think I'd rather starve or be eaten by zombies than endure another food shopping day like that again! I do hope it settles down so please stay away. read more

I had gone in on a Sunday morning on a mission to buy Pinwheels(Flank Steak with spinach and cheese). They didn't have any out, I had asked a gentleman if they had any out back. Very quickly he went to another worker and they had asked if I minded to wait a few minutes they would make some special. Can you say amazing customer service! Walked around finished my shopping went back and Wallah! All done! Really made my day! That is what makes shopping at a smaller more local store with friendly people worth it over going to a big chain. Only place I shop:) read more

Clean local atmosphere, but too expensive for my blood when compared to other local supermarkets such as Stop & Shop or Market Basket.

I like this store, it's convenient and they always have what I want. I am always in and out quick. But the fact they don't use chip readers still is almost embarrassing. Come on guys they're not a new thing anymore and twice now I had trouble because one card is designed for that use. When the teller has to play games to make the reader scan the card that gets aggravating. Doubly so when I have to use a card I didn't want to use in the first place. read more

A great store for traditional grocery shopping items. However they also have popcorn, rice cakes, and a variety of unique items on the hot food bar. Just a great little mom-and-pop feel with a full-size grocery store. The staff is always friendly. They are just a little bit pricey... But worth it for the unique items. read more

Your people at the Middleboro store are fabulous. The cashiers actually pay attention to the customers rather than yaking with the next cashier over. They are cheerful and helpful. Today, the service person in the parking lot actually took the trouble to warn me of an accident near the rotary and that I might want to go the other way on leaving. I have had excellent service from all three stores that I've used; Taunton, Bridgewater and now Middleboro. And the Middleboro space is wonderful - light and airy. Keep up the good work. read more

I moved to Middleboro about 2 years ago. There is no major Supermarket here, only Trucchi's and Hannaford's. Hannaford's prices BLOW Trucchi's away. Their Deli has a MUCH bigger selection and MUCH lower prices. I also noticed the Produce department at Trucchi's is ALOT more higher than Hannaford's. I have gone to both establishments on numerous times for the same things and 9 out of 10 times Hannaford's, or Stop and Shop (Located in Halfiax) is always going to be a better choice for your buck. I've also heard Hannaford's pays their employees a lot more too, and treat their employees better. read more

I LOVE this store! Clean store, friendly staff, unusual offerings like fresh popcorn and freshly made donuts, great cafe. I don't like very close to this independent, family owned store but every time I'm in the area I stop in. Prices are comparable to other supermarkets, a little pricier than Market Basket and a little less than Stop and Shop, but it offers much more with a produce department that exceeds expectations and a well stocked deli, bakery, and grocery department. The cafe is worth the stop alone with excellent coffee, gelato, and pastry options. read more
