DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE! Things go fine until they don't, and then it's a nightmare. I'll summarize... We bought a 2013 Outback from Billy in December of 2021. The transmission went out in February 2022. We didn't get their warranty, because it adds another $3-4k onto your loan. Technically, you shouldn't need a warranty for a vehicle that should be properly inspected and repaired for sale, especially for something as major as a transmission. We had them come and pick the vehicle up to "see what they could do". I, unfortunately, found out that the only model year transmission that you can put in a 2013 Outback is a 2013 transmission, so I knew it could take a whole to find an affordable used one. After several calls to check in and waiting until Summer 2024, Billy told us they had put another transmission in, but they needed to get it up to Subaru to have the TCM programmed for the new transmission. Then, after numerous check-ins and waiting until October 2024, we finally decided we would just go rent a Uhaul trailer to get the car and take it ourselves. When we got down there to pick it up, we found that both catalytic converters had been stolen. After notifying Billy, we were told it wasn't their responsibility. He didn't charge us for anything, so I figured he was making things right after such a long, drawn-out process. So, we brought it back to our house and replaced the exhaust parts, O2 sensors, and heat shielding. Then, after saving up some more funds, we just took the car up to Subaru in January 2025. Just got the call today, the next day, and turns out the original transmission is still in it, and the total to have them get the car right is over $10k! Now we have to go back and get it, and pay for the $200 diagnostic on top of renting a Uhaul to get it up there and again to get it back. So, there goes another $350, if you add in gas (let's not forget the $400 for the exhaust repairs), that we wouldn't have bothered with if Billy had been honest and just told us he wasn't able to do anything for us and the transmission didn't get swapped out. So, after paying $11,350 for a car we got to drive for about 2 months and throwing another $1k at it for all the toting around and repairs that were for nothing, we have a car that we'll just end up scrapping once it's paid off in the next month or so (February or March 2025). We could have at least not spent the extra $750 if Billy had been honest. Yeah, then we'll have to rent a Uhaul again to take it to the scrap yard... woohoo!!! Owner is a liar and he has his mechanic reset engine lights just to get you off the lot. He lied about respecting veterans. He lied to me about fixing the truck. Had me bring my truck 4 times to fix it but all they did was park it on side of a building. First 3 months I had it 2 of those months they were " repairing it".
