My complaint would be their lack of communication. Having brought my car in multiple times, I have experienced the *same* issue every time and even brought it to their attention: you're car could be done for hours and you'll never know. I don't work from home so I've had to miss several hours of work while my car was "ready to go" and I was the one who had to ask. It'd be nice to get an update - even if it's not as soon as each car is worked on - but it's frustrating to wait and later find out you could have picked it up hours prior. For a small town maintenance shop, Willie's is worth calling if you're in need of a checkup or repair. They have integrity and get the job done (often sooner than later) so it's nice to drive away with relief.

Unfortunately our car died - although it is still running when it should not be so it is a zombie car - so we have purchased another BMW 3 so it will be a little while before we are back. I came to J's Auto Service for a routine state inspection and emissions check. Everything was fine other than a puncture in one of my tires and my brake lights being out. When I picked up my vehicle the odometer was up an additional 5 miles even though their invoice states there was no change in mileage. (Miles in 158,162, actual miles out 158,167 ( see attached photos)). This was odd but I didn't think anything of it since a road test is usually preformed. Fast forward to when I got the tire replaced at their shop/to get my other sticker for inspection. I picked it up after work and was a little surprised it costed $52.86 ($63.11 - $10.25 (state safety sticker)) for ONE tire. I started driving and realized my dashcam was unplugged. I contacted the shop and asked why this happened. I spoke with Christine who told me, "All we did was install your tire and check your brake lights". I go home and review the footage. I come to find out that they did indeed unplug my dash cam. Not cool. I also reviewed the footage from the day of my inspection. Prior to my vehicle ever being inspected, Jamie and Christine used my vehicle to pick up another customers car! They came back, inspected my vehicle and then conducted a road test. I paid for a state inspection/emissions test, not for them to use my car for their business. I will not be giving them my business after this and will not recommend them to anyone.

I'm so easy going because I have 10 years under my belt of running service centers, so I gave them 2 week notice, 1 week notice, for bringing them my truck so they don't feel rushed. Boy did it get thrown back in my face. I don't even feel like getting into most of it. They will make you feel like an annoyance if you have an issue after they fixed something. Their mechanic caused 3 separate issues on my truck after the repair. After diagnosing it all and fixing it myself in the cold with a flashlight, I went in and spoke to the manager for 20 minutes and he ended up apologizing after arguing my case with him which was kind of nice. He said he couldn't offer any sort of refund because I fixed it myself? (I had another shop verify the issues and give me a report before I fixed them). Whatever. I'm easy going. I said call me with a quote for my water pump and help me out with the cost and i'll come back anyway. I don't hold grudges it is what it is. The manager shook my hand and said of course. That was almost 2 weeks ago. No call, no quote. I called last Friday and asked for someone to call me. They said they'll call me back, no call. They will avoid you at all costs and it is very depressing because this shop was so close to my house, and after changing careers I just wanted a shop that I could pay to do all the maintenance on my truck. I hate to give negative feedback…read more I've talked with many people and they convincing me it's better to leave this comment to warn others of what happened, so they can be aware and make a decision on whether or not to come here. On May 12th I dropped my car off at Wensels because my head gasket was blown. I live in the apartment complex next to the them so I just walked home. They gave me a call and said it will at least take a week and a half and that is would be between $1500-$2000. I said that's fine. A few weeks go by and I don't hear an update. I called them and they said "We are working on it" More time has passed and I still don't know what's going on with my car. I walk over and they tell me my engine needs to be replaced but they said they will get a used one, and will keep me at the original price they quoted, however it would be on the higher end of my original price quote. I made it clear I only have $2000 saved and that if they can keep it in that price range to go ahead and fix it. Months go by and I leave multiple messages asking for updates. About 4 months from the time I dropped it off until now, I finally get a call back on my voicemail September 3rd telling me my car is done but it's $2732.86. That is about $800 more than they had quoted me. Reviewing the receipt there was charges for things I didn't ask for, like they took off my perfectly good gas cap and exchanged it with a lousy one. Why do that? They didn't even connect the cap to the car but yet this is a charge they charged me for. I let them know that I do not have that money and that I only have $2000 saved. Another week goes by and they called me on September 11 to tell me that I can get my car back at $2000 but there would be no warranty. I figured it wasn't worth fighting over and this has been a mess from the start so I just agreed. Since I was at work I had someone pick up my car up for me. The first thing I noticed when I saw it, it had new scrapes, dings and scratches on the car. Very upsetting. I took it to another car shop to have it checked out since I didn't have a warranty on it. They said the back of the rotors which are metal and the wheel hub (metal) were rubbing creating a horrible sound and was dangerous to drive like that. This is costing more money and more time in a shop. Also, my front headlight was out and windshield wiper fluid tube was cut in half. This is being fixed at another shop because of how careless Wensels was. This whole experience has been a nightmare and I had to cancel many things due to not having my car back.

He has been extremely mean at me and kept lying to people even in the public space. 1. I made the appointment at 8am. You agreed the appointment. But you made me wait for 30minutes. It is not my mistake to come to your car shop on time. It is your fault to break your appointment. Shameless! 2. My tires have not problem. Multiple car shops, including Honda dealers approved my car. I got the sticker. You forced me to change tires in your shop to get a sticker. You just want to make money. My car had only run 36000miles. The tires have many miles on them. Are you kidding me? 3. You run a shop to make money. But your heart is dirty, so is your money. Try to do the right thing. Tell people the truth. Be a responsible and reliable citizen.

(The resulting clacking sound could indicate engine damage.) They tried to blame it on my engine burning too much oil but this has never been the case with my former garage. The person I spoke with was condescending, not believing and not at all interested in the possibility that I could have a valid opinion. Won't go back. I said "mixed proficiency" because I'd gone to them once in the past and it was fine - that wasn't an oil change, however. I'm very glad I was able to go back to my former garage and that I have that experience for comparison. I would say that they are on the defensive about their work, also that they have a greedy mentality, charging for "loaner" cars. Customer value is number 1 and along with that, valuing what your customer has to say about their experience.

I scheduled an oil change at E-Motive Performance and Auto Repair after extensive searching and praying to God for a mechanic I could take my car to regularly. I had to change my original appointment with short notice due to the weather earlier this week and today I was like an hour late to my appointment because of poor time management on my part. When I walked into the shop, I was welcomed so kindly by Esten, who introduced himself and his partner to me. He listened to all the concerns I had about my car, then waited patiently for me to get myself together and figure out how I would wait for the work to be done. Rather than send me to the back of the line, they worked on my car right away they explained so much to me about cars when it was clear I didn't know much, Esten even called my dealership to check to see if I still had a warranty on any of my parts! He went above and beyond for me even without knowing me. He told me everything I needed once they checked my car out, gave me a list of prices including the labor charges, gave me a timeframe of when I should be replacing things and I was just literally blown away by their ability to relieve all of my concerns and give me an affordable game plan moving forward. As a woman, this type of professionalism is invaluable to me! It's just a small shop in the middle of nowhere and I got the best service I have ever had in comparison. My car is running like it's brand new and I feel confident to refer anyone else like me to these guys. This is a gem, I promise!
