We were recently faced with the harsh reality that our original 24 year old A/C needed replacing. With that I began my search for a reputable company in my area. I saw all the amazing 5 star reviews for True Blue and noticed a common theme. Honest, fair, professional, informative, nice, competitive pricing. All 100+ very positive reviews and not a single negative review. As we all know, that's essentially nonexistent when dealing with the public in any capacity, particularly when it comes to the HVAC service industry. I gave them a call to schedule an estimate. Lisa answered and was amazing with accommodating my schedule and with all subsequent correspondence. Shane came out a couple days later, educated me on the new systems, patiently answered all my questions and took his time explaining in detail my options (I ended up going with the Bosch/heat pump. Quietest compressor I've ever witnessed). Shane sent over a quote that was less than another quote I had received and with many more upgraded options including a $2K federal tax credit. Much more overall value for my money. Shane's crew (Kevin, Rudy & Brandon) came out on the scheduled date and time and handled business to perfection. Removed my old stuff, installed the new equipment and made sure everything was working flawlessly before leaving that same day. The enter process was seamless. They went above and beyond. They installed my new heater and ac. Plus they made it level for the ac to sit on without adding more cost. Kevin came by and when he realized my AC was on the roof he came back with a tall ladder and another repairman. I am very happy to say that we are very happy not only with the unit but with the cost and service. I not only did my house but we did our mother in laws and I had a friend get hers done too. I am happy to provide an honest review for True Blue. My A/C wasn't producing cold air so I knew something was wrong and had a feeling it was not going to be good news. I called True Blue based on the good reviews on Yelp (my go to source). I called and Lisa returned my call quickly and Shane came out shortly thereafter. Unfortunately I did need a new unit but Shane was great in explaining the options. We had to wait for a week to get things scheduled which is why he provided a portable unit to put in my daughters room because her room is above the garage and facing the west so it's like a sauna in there. We appreciated that he offered to do this. Kevin and another tech (sorry forgot his name) came to do the installation. They were kind and everything went smoothly. They are a small business and I'm big on supporting small business owners. Shane and Juan showed up at my house on time, did the Spring/Summer maintenance on my A/C condenser unit and diagnosed that the dual capacitor had to be replaced after noticing that the fan on the unit wasn't turning on and making a weird noise. They replaced it and assured my A/C unit was working properly before leaving. I'll definitively contact them again for any of my A/C unit service needs. True Blue came by for an estimate to replace our recently broken condensor unit. Shane came by to look at the unit outside and upstairs in our attic and then provided us with a quote for replacing the unit. We ended up going with a newer Bosch inverter heat pump type unit with a higher seer2 option and we are absolutely in love with it. Shane was excellent in communicating what needed to be done and the cost for everything which was very reasonable given what unit we were getting. The techs that came by, Kevin and Scott, were excellent technicians and paid so much attention to detail in getting refrigerant levels right and making sure everything was sealed in with no leaks. My A/C was having issues and tripping the circuit breaker, so I contacted an A/C service company from Diamond Bar, where I am constantly getting fliers. They sent a Tech out. He reviewed my system and said the needed repairs would be $8,000+ and that my unit needed replacing which was between $15,000 to $20,000. I paid the service charge. I looked over the estimate and didn't like his figures. I called True Blue and a female answered the phone. To say she was sweet and kind would be an understatement. She wanted to get someone out ASAP and I could tell she was a concerned and caring person. Shane and his son came out and diagnosed my problem. I was very impressed by both of them. Shane explained and educated me on the system and how he got his deductions. He said my system was fine, but I had a bad circuit breaker. I went and purchased a new one and installed it. That cured my issues and the A/C works great again. Shane was very honest and didn't even charge me a service charge. I can't speak highly enough of this company. When it comes time to replace my unit, you can count they will be the ones I call. Shane didn't try to get me to purchase a new unit like the other company when mine was fine. Impressive considering I wasn't in too big of a hurry since we'd lived without heat for a days before even calling them. He was still on time for the appointment scheduled the day after I called. The issue was clearly explained to me as a simple fix. I was told my unit is getting pretty old and more similar issues may arise. We purchased a new air conditioning system from True Blue because of their honesty. The owner personally came out to give the estimate. There was no sales "games" or high pressure. During the installation the technician discovered that the supplier mistakenly delivered the wrong part. Although the smaller piece of equipment would have fit, he refused to take the short cut and instead took the extra time to drive back and get the correct part. The technicians are professional and courteous and take great pride in their work. The owner is hands on and inspects the job once it's completed. Shane and company are honest and and gets the job done at very reasonable price. They don't try to sell you on what you don't need but rather offer solutions to save you money. Some of the rooms in my house was not moving air efficiently and I wanted to install more air ducts and Kevin came out and gave some really good advice/solutions and we ended up adding additional air ducts and swapping out existing vent grilles which made a world of difference and while he was here he took care of a condensation problem that has been troublesome. Can't say enough good about Kevin and True Blue! Honest is the number one thing. We had another quote for the same project insist we replace our entire unit for almost $30,000 (!), and Kevin was able to fix our 2011 model in about 15 minutes for less than $500 with a warranty.
