I called over the weekend and AC Plus Heating & Cooling was able to schedule me right away for the following Monday morning. Very nice and professional people. Sean Hawkinson came in and was able to diagnose the issue right away as to why the heating and cooling wasn't kicking on, but the blower was still on. Turns out the furnace emergency mode was tripped due to a dirty air filter. Our new build home recommended we replace our air filters every 6 months. For the type of furnace we have we should be replacing them monthly! Sean quickly reset the furnace after 5 minutes the cooling and heating started to work again. I would do business with these folks again as they were fast and the price was fair. If it wasn't for the heat wave coming I'm sure they would've scheduled me sooner. read more

Do not be fooled by their reviews! I want to share my experience so others can be aware. The technician came out and provided a quote to repair my AC, but also advised upfront that the unit was very old and would likely need to be replaced. The repair was presented as a temporary "band-aid" fix to get the system running and cool the house down while my landlord gathered multiple quotes for a full replacement. I paid $2,000 for the repair expecting at least temporary relief. The system briefly started working, but almost immediately stopped cooling again. During a very hot day with kids and pets in the home, it was extremely difficult to reach anyone for follow-up, and I was told the earliest someone could return was two days later. When they came back, I was then told I would need to pay an additional $1,300. During this visit, I was repeatedly told by Enrique that I "just need a new unit," which only added to the confusion since that was already understood from the beginning as a long-term solution to be decided by my landlord after getting multiple quotes. What was most frustrating is that the repair did not provide even temporary relief as expected, and communication after the initial visit was very difficult when the system failed. Given the cost and lack of reliable follow-up, I would not recommend this company. Please save your money and look elsewhere. read more

Updating my review now that the installation has been done for a few days. My house is no longer an oven and the new airflow is almost too effective. Brandon, Miguel, Larry, and Felix did an awesome job on the full replacement of our old HVAC system, including new ducting. I'll be coming back to AC Plus for annual servicing. Are 2 year old HD Installed AC started popping the breaker and it was 94 degrees out. I have breathing issues, a head full of allergies making things worse. Called 3 companies including HD which gave their usual reply DUH when a neighbor came over with their card. It was around 5pm when we called and they said their technician had 2 ahead of us but he would be out that night. Just before sunset he called, confirmed the address and within 5 minutes he was here. I was very familiar with the truck having often seen it in the hood. He checked the compressor, started the AC and all was,nominal. He then checked the electrical cabinet and found that one of the screws terminals was loose enough he could have easily removed the wire. He tightened it up, we paid the call fee and have been happy happy,ever since. Thank you! We appreciate you and your company. I had a bad night being all stuffed up with the O2 on and the ventilator mask but I was being cooled by the AC down to 77 from the 85 it has risen too. I'm pretty sure if it had not been fixed it would have an ambulance ride to the hospital and a overnight stay. read more

Loyalty is no longer rewarded. When prices increase but service standards are lowered and a call is required to obtain a full measure of prepaid services and then Promises are extended to quell the complaint, yet an alternate, who was not agreed to, is sent to fulfill the promise a irrepairable crack in the relationship begins. The newer units in California dont seem to work well with old ducting therefore its time for new. Everone from Enrique, Ishmael and of course Matt the owner are super professional. After two years of maintenance free air-conditioning and heating since getting a new heat pump to replace our old gas HVAC, we decided to opt for the twice a year maintenance program to make sure we're running at peak efficiency. (a $199 special for spring and winter visits) Our tech Steven was out today and checked all the electronics, did a little cleaning of components, and gave me some advice about diverting the water that drips from the unit during the cold of winter. He was also highly dog approved by our German shepherd Gretchen as well. Having an animal lover on our property is an additional bonus. AC PLUS is family owned as well as local and we were originally quoted by a couple sketchy outfits before we decided on them. As retired teachers, we know to do our homework. Our system was installed by them in 2022 and after adding 29 solar panels (Option One Solar), we have not paid an electricity bill in three years. We run the AC as low as we want in the summer and we are toasty warm in the winter. As the cost of electricity continues to rise, we know we made a good Investment. He in fact was willing to refund my entire amount paid. But I felt that it would be fair to just pay the actual quoted amount as his technician did come to our home and was very kind and respectful of our home. This company lived up to their 5 rating. Their pricing and service won't be beat. They do a extensive diagnostic look at your home before trying to sell you anything. They recommend the right size HVAC for your square footage, high ceilings, window facing, and how well your home is insulated. They went out of their way to exceed our needs and we were touched at how appreciative they were of us having 2 disabled veterans in the home. Installation took about 9 hours. That included an attic furnace blower and a backyard condenser and other new parts up in the attic space. New registers and a state of the art Bluetooth thermostat was also installed. Therr was a small glitch with a valve not opening because of a small peice of debris entering a line. They were back the very next morning, found and fixed the issue with a new part and cleaned our ducts. Before I forget to mention it, the condenser in the backyard is whisper quiet. Unless your standing right next to it you won't hear it. The installers and techs were all very friendly and professional and kept us up to date on everything that was going on. I can't wait to see the difference in efficiency from a 30 year old HVAC system to this state of the art upgrade we just got. Well done AC Plus Heating and Cooling. read more

Scammers! Guy comes to check our failing 20 yr old ac unit. Goes into the attic and takes pictures of our rusted evaporator coil. Tells me it needs to be replaced. Quotes me $10k for a new unit. Okay I start putting the money together and a friend of a friend says he can replace the refrigerant in the meantime just to get us through the summer. He goes into the attic and finds that nothing has been touched! The original tape is still there! How can he take pics of a rusted coil without opening it up!? Turns out it was ALL FAKE!!
