Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.

Price is very reasonable, I did my homework on that. A couple of our asks were a bit more complex, but they stuck it out all the way to completion with really great results. We had all our equipment replaced (DE filter system to Cartridge system), re-plastering, spa filled in mostly with concrete leaving about 8 inches and they added 5 fountains (very nice). Also had a pool light that we had not seen in 10 years - they fixed it and made it totally up-to-date with an app to control the settings. Same with our timer -- we had a bad timer for the last 5 years so I was manually turning on and shutting off the pool every day. Now it's app controlled and works great. I was at the show room and was amazed at the quality of the Marquis hot tubes in the show room verses what I received. Southern Leisure is doing the right thing replacing it. I did not want nor buy a blemished hot tub I paid full price for it. Now its up to Marquis to build my replacement to the quality standards I have seen in other Marquis hot tubes. Colby with Southern Leisure was great he was very understanding of my frustration with the issues and in the end came up with a solution that was just and fair.

My first experience was after the week freeze we had, and they came out within a week to examine my pool and fix a busted check valve. I've also had them replace ball valves, my pool pump, and 2-lights in the pool. So I've had at least 4-experiences with them and they keep earning my business. I've never had to wait longer than a week for a tech to come out and address the issue, and the techs who've come out have been friendly and very knowledgeable. So far so good with my experience, and I just called them again today to replace an actuator valve that a stupid animal chewed through the wires. I'll keep using Custom Pool Care and going to Randy and Mike Johnson as long as this great experience continues. Thanks guys.
