Went for a little 7 tattoo, and had the BEST experience with the Andrea. She listened, gave great advice to my friend who wanted a piece behind her ear and Andrea wasn't sure to recommend it because the area was too small for the piece, so we ended up moving it. She was calm, collected, a true professional in tattooing and she was just nice to talk to! So nice, in fact, that I decided to get another tattoo a couple days later (had been thinking about an astrological tattoo for a while) because she was such a calm person. Both tattoos have healed super well so far! Got a tiny 7 behind my ear, that even though I have *accidentally* scratched it during the healing period a couple time, it has turned out very well, and the scorpio constellation looks so dark and perfect it doesn't even seem like it peeled at all. read more

I love this place!! I have gone to Jerry for about 80% of my tattoos. He does amazing work. The atmosphere is fun and clean. I've been flirting with the idea of getting my nose re-pierced for quite some time now, so I figured I'd ask my cousin, King of the Extra Face Holes, if he knew a good place I could get re-pierced without sacrificing my wallet. He told me to try out True Blue and to go to Cale. He'd just been to get snake bites done with glass studs (so he wouldn't get in trouble at work, obviously). I went in and within 15 minutes, was re-pierced and completely satisfied with the job she'd done. 5 stars simply due to the fact that the place was clean, it wasn't over-crowded or blasting 'I hate my mother' music, the service was sanitary, pleasant, and all-around spectacular. Cale was also very organized and knowledgeable about her work, taking the time to explain how to care for a re-pierced nose. It was also good to walk in and not feel judged for not having sleeves and neck tattoos like the staff. If you're looking for a quick and (nearly) painless piercing experience where you're sure to be content with the environment, employees, and the job they do, I would go to True Blue. I went in for a touch up because a few of my friends have had work done here. First and foremost I was not asked to show my ID or sign paperwork. Why they don't do this is beyond me, isn't it illegal? Potentially setting yourself up for a lawsuit? I'm of age and just needed a quick touch up on maybe 5 letters. It healed well and I didn't get a disease. I doubt I'd get serious work done here. I reviewed them on Google and got a nasty, passive aggressive response. That's great your shop min is 60$, I'd be happy to show you my receipt for the 40something I was charged for a touch up. Sure, it was a while ago but the great thing about credit cards is you can always pull a transaction. Its really neither here nor there, it was a touch up. It didn't start or end my life. read more

I only put one star to maybe give the other artists at this shop some credit, seeing as it was just the owner that's a terrible tattoo artist. Went in with my girlfriend so she could get a small logo tattoo. Not only did his lettering come out TERRIBLE, but the shading job he did was blotchy and not even a uniform color. Throughout the entire experience he kept bragging about how "light handed" he is, but the way he was digging into my girlfriend's arm begged to differ. My girlfriend was also never asked for her I.D. or to sign any paperwork, which is super illegal. And on top of all this, her tattoo was infected for weeks after, and none of her other tats have ever looked so bad. After it healed completely, the tattoo is just a big scar on her wrist, and most the shading bubbled up (which I have never seen before) and fell off. Bottom line, we will NEVER get work done here again. The artists name is Jamison, I believe, so avoid him at all costs. Go see Forrest at Love N' Hate Elite for some quality art. read more

I went to True Blue yesterday (5/15) with my best friend. We just called ahead of time to see if they were taking walk-ins, and after about 45 minutes of waiting, Tiffany helped us. The atmosphere was super relaxed and welcoming, not kind of on-edge like some parlors. It was my first tattoo so I was extremely nervous, and since this was an on-whim tattoo, I didn't have a lot to spend. Tiffany was more than accommodating, super super friendly, and made the entire experience AMAZING! My back tattoo is beautiful, it didn't break my piggy bank, and I definitely am not afraid of getting tattoos anymore. I WILL be coming back to her. She is SO great you guys!! I know a friend who had some work done here so I decided to get one of my tattoos touched up. Not only do I believe this place is not very professional due to the fact they did not have me sign any consent forms or any paperwork for that matter, but I was charged more for the touch up than when I first got my tattoo. It was a small tattoo that literally took 15 minutes to do and the lines that were went over turned out very sloppy and not straight.I'm not sure if I would recommend this place to anyone but there is no doubt that I will not recommend the artist who worked on me. read more

Appeared to have a few customers in getting work done. Prices for jewelery didn't seem to be outrageous. I didn't check out prices on ink work. I went to True Blue a few months ago for my next tattoo because it's close to my house and Ben has some positive reviews. Now that my tat is fully healed, I will say it's pretty sweet. I do really like it but....... The shop in general is not the cleanest I've been to, not even close. It doesn't not have an inviting or relaxing atmosphere. The employees I encountered come across basically as arrogant dicks. I talked with Ben about what I wanted and I saw some of his work - he's definitely a talented artist. However, being an artist does not automatically make you a good tattoo artist. IMHO I have over a dozen tattoos and never have I felt such a heavy hand as Bens. Other tats in same location did not cause the agony Ben put me through...3 hours of heavy pain getting the tat, major swelling and oozing for several days to follow, and a couple weeks of babying the massive scan it turned into. In the end it looks great but I will never return. My prior tattoos and two I've got since then are amazing but that sort of pain is unnecessary and unacceptable. read more

Hey guys, I wish I could be more specific with this posting, but I forgot who tattooed me. Any way, I was home on pre-deployment leave and decided to get a tattoo (No, not my first, far from it). This shop was close and the portfolios looked good, so I gave it a shot. Worst mistake of my young adult life. 1. Scarring: the artist went too deep and the tattoo resulted in 50% of it scaring. 2. Bad lines & improper shading. 3. The tattoo, which was supposed to remain a flat image, was given a 3d perspective at the "artist's discretion." That probably wouldn't have bothered me so much if the artist would have known how to shade and draw decent lines. The tattoo looks like a big clump of **** on my arm. I've been in Afghanistan for the past 7 months, staring at it, hating myself for trusting True Blue.... so I haven't had the chance to cover it up yet. Seriously, Avoid this place like that plague. I'm no expert, but I'm covered in tattoo's, and I know horrible when I see it. read more

I got a tattoo here and it was nicely priced and nicely done. A month later i got two dermals on my sternum it hasn't even been a year and i had to remove one (i went to a different place and the piercer said it was cheap jewlery),.. and now i'm going to get the other one removed since it is also rejecting. So to sum up, the tattoo experience was great, but the piercing one sucked, it took him forever and now it is a waste of money because i have to get them removed. read more
