When we first sought to get occupational therapy for my guy, I was overwhelmed. Sivan is an angel who walks the earth in OT form, because she is genuinely so good at what she does, not just because of the tasks she does- but because of how she CONNECTS with him. My son lights up in her presence and just feels absolutely free to be himself. Also, in feeling absolutely free, dare I say...rambunctious? However, Sivan has this insane control over him, where he still gets to be silly & wild & get his therapy in. In only a matter of months, we have seen improvement in his performance of tasks such as toothbrushing, showering independently & core control. He's our master grocery cart pusher! As you can imagine, when we determined that our youngest son also needed therapy for a different issue, we pleaded for Therapy in Action. But as you can imagine, two therapies for two different children can be...a lot to fit into the week. However...Jill. Jill set everything up, understanding from her own mothering point of view how much more committed we could be if they went at the same time...and that's exactly what she did for us. Then, we met Jenny. The fact that this place has struck gold TWICE is crazy. Jenny is patient, kind & tender toward my littlest guy during his work with her helps put my mind at ease that my sons are getting the best possible aid that will help them develop into functional people. She has gotten him to try foods that I never even attempted to buy again, because of our food waste. Listen, though, because we have also met Gabby...and whew, TIA, your hiring person needs to play the lottery because they just know how to pick them. they come to the school to help with my youngest kid and since school started (3 months) we had…read moreover 30 days of call outs and subs coming almost at 10am instead of the 8am. the staff will not care about calling the school to let them know or even the parents and when they don't have one to send they just wont tell anyone. first week of school they told me the Bii assigned was out on leave with no date of return. they gave us someone else then said he was going to be permanent then changed him as well. we are now on our 3rd BII in the past 3 months not to mention my son coming back with bruises and injuries because they arent caring for the kid at all. spoke with the school district and lawyer and they just dont seem to be proactive at all and just let my son fall to the side as they just ignore the PARENTS AND DISTRICT!

CARD was the instigator of poor and non- tailored care to a very intelligent child. Free speech was not honored when child left his review / opinion of the negative treatment and thus discharge that was punitive. Office staff didn't know their jobs nor had no sense of humor ; just wanting to file claims. After this ruthless treatment a handicapped child was blackballed and not allowed to have services that would help in getting independence in life. Not all autism services serve children over 19 years old so the choices out there are few. No references were given as promised ; poor continuity of care and many lies. Maybe a competitor should come forward that can think outside of the box and actually HELP PEOPLE. .
