We booked a Wellness Retreat Weekend in January. I checked in throughout the pandemic to ask if it would continue or be cancelled, and was assured it was still going to run as planned. Less than a week before the retreat, the owners posted on Facebook that all retreats were now cancelled. They didn't call or email to notify us & provide information or options, I just got lucky that I checked their Facebook page. Of course at that point it was also nearly impossible to book elsewhere or schedule other activities as it was such short notice. They kept our reservation as a regular stay, but we felt it was very deceitful and that they did this intentionally to force people to have to stay with them for the weekend.
The dome was beautiful & impeccably clean. Our view in Driftwood #4 was lovely, though the views from the back domes seem obstructed. There isn't a lot of privacy so if you want a secluded, romantic weekend this might not be the right spot. The hot tubs are nice but the chemicals are VERY strong and gave us both rashes.
The amenities provided for over $200/night are minimal. There was one small packet of coffee and no filters for the coffee maker. No tea, creamers, etc. We got to have about half a cup of chunky coffee each and it wasn't restocked during the stay. The wifi worked for about one hour when we arrived on Friday and did not work for the rest of our stay, so I would strongly recommend that no one depend on it and assume you'll be fully off grid. Since the wifi doesn't work, you also have no way to call the number provided for the owners during your stay.
While I don't regret staying here, I found it overpriced and would look elsewhere for my next stay. read more
