When I was there in April doing major repairs and remodel from all the damage a tenant did, the water damage to the wood floor under the refrigerator turned the wood black and lifted them from the floor, so since John had done the refinish job in 2013, I naturally contacted him. I liked John's work albiet he was not able to remove all the damage but did a great job nonetheless. I called him and he said he was very busy but would get out within a week to assess the damage and tell me what he could do. Then I never heard back. I left another 2 messages. By the time I did hear back I had already had to hire someone else, and presumed John was too busy or this was not a priority, which upset me since I was already a customer. Unfortunately I found out that John had injured his leg w a nail gun and went to the hospital, but that was after I wrote the review and had to pay someone else to repair the damage. His explanation was certainly understandable and I would never want to hurt someone's business if there is a reasonable explanation. However, my input here is that his wife or someone else who worked w him should have been calling his customers immediately (not wait for me to finally get him on the phone to find out what happened) to inform them that he would not be able to work for however long he needed to heal, I certainly would have understood. I have been in the hospital for serious injuries so understand how crazy that can be. But being self employed brings certain responsibilities if you want to maintain a good client base. His original work was beautiful and he did 3 coats on my floor, and gave me a good price. I was very happy with those results, so I would recommend his work.

Kevin Dye.......What a GREAT guy!…read more Kevin was referred to us by our son. We called him and requested a quote for painting the exterior of our home. Right away we could tell Kevin was knowledgeable and professional. His price was fair for the work we needed done. We had to wait a few weeks as Summer is his busiest season for exteriors (he also paints interiors during the off seasons). We were willing to wait as we really appreciated his ethical attitude. Kevin called us the week before our project was to begin. He arrived on the exact date and time he had stated. He explained each phase of the project, which included power washing, exterior painting of the body and trim of our home, and staining of our entryway and deck ceilings. Every exchange with Kevin was professional in every way. He had a crew of 3-4 and together they painted our home and fence. They quality paint he used was evident in the coverage. The crew and Kevin did outstanding work and cleaned up after each day. Our project took approximately 6 days. He parked a small trailer with his equipment on our property until he completed the job. Beware. They do not warrant their work. They are incompetent as they failed to properly seal the…read moreunderlying concrete before applying epoxy coating (this from other contractors). The concrete leaches and stains the epoxy. This was an outdoor walkway. After two years I had them out (owner did not appear to inspect the problem) and they cleaned and refinished but charged me $800 for the privilege. This was late Aug of 2018. By April 2019 when the snow had cleared the stains have come back. My only recourse is to completely remove the epoxy stone. I am sorry that this work was ever done.
