I am indebted to Dr. Rosenblatt. Yoni has saved my life (well not really, but he has saved my knee and shoulder). Yoni is the only therapist whom I have gone to that listened, treated me individually, and worked out an individual game plan. Every time that I went, he would look over my chart with a fresh look, and tell me something like, "okay you have worked on strength last time, today we'll work on endurance". He gave me individual exercises, and spent the entire session with me. Then he would evaluate me and tell me what exercises I should do at home based on how I performed. If I did well, he would build on it, if I struggled, he would scale back. He was amazing. Also, he worked with my crazy schedule, (and I don't know if I should mention it, but even came in once at a weird time just for me). Because he treated me one on one, and understood my memory issues, he would video the exercises, and email them to me, so I would remember how to do them at home. (I don't know if he does that for everyone, or just me). I had torn my shoulder, and he looked it over, and was able to tell what was wrong with it before even seeing the doctor. He gave me advise how to build up the surrounding muscles so I would not need surgery to use it without pain. A few years later when I popped my ACL, he again was able to diagnose it (which was confirmed with the x-rays and such), and he set me up with a competent surgeon, gave me pre-surgery exercise, post-surgery exercise, and took complete control of the situation. (The surgeon was highly rated and did a good job. However, after the post-op where he ensured that it was successful, he told me to go to therapy, without letting me know how long I should keep the brace on, etc. I had no idea what to do, and Yoni took me step by step throughout the entire process, to the point know that I now have full function). He even coached me towards the end on jogging to ensure that not only would I be able to use it, but that I could continue using it to my full potential. He also was very pleasing to deal with, with humor, personal care and sensitivity, and was a friendly person to talk with during the drills. I seem to have some muscle issue, and have popped and torn quite a few over time. I have been to therapists that range from okay to terrible. Yoni by far outranked them, and even looked at and as a side treated some of the past injuries that another non-competent therapist dealt with. Even his needling thing which sounded bizarre actually worked and eased the pain. I have since moved, and have on occasion driven in, in part, just to see him. i was sent to yoni and his team by dr. anand murthi, chief of shoulder and elbow surgery at union memorial hospital. dr. murthi was very specific in his instructions regarding my post-op care. under no uncertain terms i was to report to none other than yoni rosenblatt to help me recover from frozen shoulder, an extremely painful and debilitating condition that with or without surgery can take up to eighteen months to heal. dr. murthi performed a surgical procedure to release scar tissue causing the problem. in addition, he also injected stem cells into the same shoulder's torn rotator cuff, adding a bit of a complication to my healing. yoni and his extremely creative, engaging, empowering, and dare i say loving? team of wonderful professionals worked with me, first three times a week, and then two times a week, for two and a half months, using every trick they could think of, to help me work through my pain and regain my range of motion. clearly, dr. murthi knew what he wanted for me. yoni kept in constant contact with him so that he would know exactly what we were accomplishing as therapy was progressing. it was a team effort! it appeared that yoni is hooked into many surgical teams in town because they trust him--his judgment, level-headedness, expertise, and his good humor. i dare say, anyone who needs professional help healing an aching body should give yoni a call. the true sports professionals are experts in how the body works, conditioning, sports training, as well as medical physical therapy, which i think contributes to their approach. no matter how difficult the work (physical and emotional), p.t. was an uplifting experience. i was even a bit concerned when yoni had to go out of town on business and i was left under others' care. i had nothing to worry about. each p.t. had his or her own special talents that brought me closer to full healing. it's a weird thing to say, but i kind of miss going, and i really miss everybody! chelsea! mary! bobby! and yoni! read more

I highly recommend True Sports PT! I have seen Dr. Rosenblatt for two separate sports injuries, the most recent being a severe shoulder injury restricting the use of my arm. I came in after meeting with an orthopedic surgeon who said that I would absolutely need surgery, sooner than later, to repair the damage and regain any range in motion. I decided to meet with Dr. Rosenblatt for a second opinion. After a thorough evaluation and asking me what my goals were I decided to post pone the surgery and start physical therapy. Within the first three weeks I hit my goal of being able to do normal day to day activities, getting dressed, driving, and typing, without any pain. At that point Dr. Rosenblatt was confident that I could avoid surgery all together. He developed a unique regiment that progressed as I did, focusing on rehabbing my shoulder while conditioning my entire body. After three months not only was I able to completely avoid surgery, but I was back to playing sports and working out in the gym. Coming into workout with Yoni Rosenblatt was truly a revelation for me. I have worked out with elite athletic teams, as well as terrific strength and conditioning coaches, for years, but never before have I received such individualized attention that could actually improve my body rather than just improve my sprinting time or bench press max. I've worked with Yoni and Tim at True Sports through two different injuries - lower back and shoulder (labrum, pre/post-op). My experience has been top notch. I'm not sure I would have made it through the injuries/post-op rehab without them. For me, it was important to find a PT that understood me as an athlete, talked to me about my goals, and developed a treatment plan to get to those goals. Although I'm still actively rehabbing my shoulder post-surgery, I have a ton of confidence that these guys are going to get me back to where I want to be given how much I have already progressed in a short period of time. Yoni and Tim are just really good guys and definitely care a lot about their patients. I probably drive them crazy with all my questions, but they take the time to answer each one thoughtfully. My surgeon wanted me to go to TrueSports for my rehab following shoulder surgery. It was a great recommendation. Met with Yoni 48 hours after surgery and he started working with me and set me up with a home program. He is definitely the man and came highly recommended from everyone I spoke to leading up to surgery. Since then I've worked with Tim, Chelsea and Mary and everyone has been very knowledgeable and the team communicates so whoever I saw knew where I was and what I needed worked on that day. The space is clean and organized and had all the necessary equipment. Surgery and rehab is never fun but I'm very grateful to have ended up at TrueSports. It's an enjoyable place to go with great results to really help during a frustrating time of your life. I recommend everyone I know that needs rehab to go there. I've been to Fells Point and Timonium locations but heard they just opened in Howard County so plenty of options. read more

This review is way overdue! Today marks 3 years since I fractured my femur. Before seeing Yoni at True Sports PT, I was in Ohio recovering, working with PTs there, had a second surgery, saw more physical therapists at two different places in Baltimore. I moved to San Francisco and saw a physical therapist here. It must be known that you can't get much better than True Sports. The only thing I regret is not finding them sooner while I was in Baltimore. I had a great experience working with Yoni. This isn't your typical place where you see the pt for 15 minutes and move on to incredibly boring exercises. It's one-on-one and Yoni would switch up exercises weekly. He knows his stuff and I always felt challenged, which is what I felt I was missing at other places. Oh, and the facility is beautiful. Old church building, stained glass windows, amazing staff - what more could you want. Highly recommend. read more

I'm 5ft 10 and 210 lbs. I have two little girls and we live a pretty active life style. It's not easy to be slowed down by injury, but twice within the last year I've had a pinched nerve in my neck with pain shooting down my arm. Never in my wildest dreams did I think a treatment called "dry needling" could relieve that pain in just ONE SESSION, but for those skeptics out there or who don't know what it is, mark my words when I say IT WORKS!!! In just one day I was able to turn my head left/right again and finally sleep through the night. My experience with True Sports was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. When I began seeing them, I was in-season and thus in need of intensive physical therapy on extremely short notice. Tim and Yoni went above and beyond to fit me in, even offering to come in early to get me the treatment I needed. They were understanding, accommodating, and innovative in terms of the type of care they were able to provide, catering a rehabilitation plan specifically to my needs and my schedule as a varsity athlete. I can honestly say I would not have been back on the field if it hadn't been for True Sports, and by the end of the season I was a 90-minute player. Dr. Rosenblatt is an exceptional physiotherapist. His uniqueness is that he sees human movement as central to the health and well-being of his patient. His goal is to treat the physical problem so that you not only have maximum movement but are pain free and regaining essential muscle strength. His treatment plan for me included an explanation of the injury and a multi-pronged treatment approach of hands on with acupuncture, manipulation, and strength training. I saw improvements to my persistent L4/L5 back injury after 4 or 5 visits, and now return for maintenance and strength training. True Sports PT is simply, the best. Everyone there takes pride in establishing relationships with people seeking PT, which allows for effective treatment. The personal-level atmosphere reassures me that the staff genuinely cares about making me better and takes all the necessary steps in doing so. On the treatment side, the therapy itself is second to none. There is clear organization with a plan ready. The exercises I engaged in worked the necessary areas to strengthen what was needed (hamstring and back in my case). True Sports Physical Therapy is literally life changing. I've been there for 3 injuries. One of which, most people get surgery for- a torn labrum in the hip. Yoni has helped me come back from these injuries and now I am healthier than ever and ready to compete at the Division 1 level for lacrosse. I went to Yoni and his team for my shoulder/back, and they were phenomenal! Not only are they very professional and smart, they are extremely personable. True Sports is a great place! I came in with shoulder pain and restricted movement and now I have full range of motion. I couldn't pinpoint what was causing the pain, but the True Sports team figured it out right away.
