Was always available. Enter "ASAP" and it's amateur hour. They don't actually even bother to send in your prescription and you have to chase down these sketchy people (like their CNP who for some reason is "the only person who can send in scripts" according to the people who answer the phones for every one of their million locations). Look at the end of the day pain management docs have one job. Call in your script. They're rewarded handsomely for doing so. So what's up these people can't do that? Their one job? Since they took over beloved Dr. Gariwala's practice (as I said, suddenly, mysteriously and with zero communications with longtime patients) I've done some investigating. Multiple malpractice suits in MD alone. (They also practice in VA). Many bad reviews. Their MDs--omg--I'm not trying to judge on looks here but based on my actual experiences thus far--the fact that their doctors look either 1) fake like stock photos or 2) weird like an aging Doogie Howser does not bode well. Now I'm going to have to find a new practice. Great. Btw--the founder of this business was in prison for kickback schemes over drugs. Watch that Max Lum. Amazing lady really. Her poking and prodding really HURT, whereas with therapists at other practices for different injuries in the past, I've never been made to feel pain, just mild discomfort. Also, a couple hours after I got home, I was experiencing nerve pain, tingling, and numbness, different from what I was being treated for and in a different area. I know therapy can cause soreness, but I didn't expect any new problems to occur. I also didn't appreciate the brusque attitude I got when I asked about any physical activity I could do and got total side-eye and a somewhat rude comeback. All in all, though it seems like they know what they're doing, I'd rather go somewhere with more professional staff that looks a bit less like a run-down hospital ward. My review is specifically for the Pikesville, Maryland location…read more One of the main reasons I chose FX Physical Therapy was because of its one-on-one treatment model. I specifically sought out individualized care rather than a larger clinic where therapists are treating multiple patients at the same time. Given the complexity of my condition, I believed the one-on-one approach would provide the focused attention and clinical expertise necessary to address my concerns. I have been a patient at FX Physical Therapy on and off for over a year and a half. My condition is complex and involves issues with my cervical spine, lumbar spine, legs, feet, balance, gait, and what I believe may be a leg-length discrepancy. From the very beginning, I made the clinic aware of the complexity of my condition and the concerns I was experiencing. Throughout my treatment, I repeatedly raised concerns about changes in my gait, balance, foot positioning, worsening symptoms, and my overall lack of progress. These concerns were not only discussed during appointments, but I also communicated many of them through email so there would be documentation of what I was experiencing throughout the course of my treatment. I understand that I was not always consistent with attending therapy sessions. However, part of the reason for that inconsistency was that there were times when I felt worse after performing certain exercises or following certain treatment recommendations. As a result, I often questioned whether the treatment approach was helping my condition and sometimes needed to step back because of how I was feeling physically. I also frequently felt rushed during my appointments. Because I typically attended therapy sessions after work in the evening, I often felt that there was limited time to fully discuss my concerns. There were many occasions when I felt that documentation and watching the clock took priority over thoroughly evaluating the issues I was reporting. I often left appointments feeling unheard and without the individualized attention that I expected from a one-on-one treatment environment. I understand that every physical therapist needs experience, and I have nothing personal against my therapist. However, I only learned two days ago that he has approximately two years of experience. Given the complexity of my condition, I believe I should have been matched with a more experienced physical therapist much earlier in the process rather than spending more than over a year attempting to manage a case that may have required a higher level of expertise from the start. What has been most disappointing is that after more than a year of treatment, I was informed that my case may be beyond my therapist's level of experience. During our most recent discussion on June 4, 2026, he indicated that he would reach out to a more experienced physical therapist within the FX organization at the Timonium, Maryland location to determine whether that therapist would be willing to take over my care. As of the date of this review, I have not received any response and do not know whether my case will be accepted. I cannot help but wonder why this determination was not made much earlier. Had I been evaluated and matched with a therapist whose experience aligned with the complexity of my condition from the beginning, my treatment journey may have looked very different. I sought treatment at FX because I wanted expert one-on-one care for a complex condition. Instead, after more than a year of treatment, I am left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and uncertain about where to turn next for the level of care that I need. This review reflects my personal experience at the Pikesville location. Others may have different experiences, but this was mine.

Nonetheless, I persist and they continue to help me with good cheer and positivity. This business is located within the Maryland Athletic Club (MAC). Their therapy rooms are well stocked with all sorts of gadgets but the tables aren't too close to each other so no one feels crowded. There are lots of mirrors on the walls so you can check your form (or, if you're kinda bored, you can look out onto the businesses on Aliceanna). I've generally worked with Alyssa and she's professional, friendly, but tries to push me further. My favorite treatments are the massages, though.

My husband, a 73 year old man who was referred to Caroline Queale at Elite PT for issues related to…read moreshoulder and back issues. Caroline spent 1.5 hours with him due to a complex medical history. She was the most thorough physical therapist he had ever visited (and there have been many over the years). She spent that time to properly diagnose his PT needs and to understand his personal and support his approach to exercise. She and her colleagues prepared a PT plan and helped him execute it terrifically. The hands on treatment that took up the initial half hour of each session was expertly delivered and the exercise program was designed to meet both short and long term needs. Over the past two years Caroline, Allison and Kelli have provided great support and treatment for a range of problems ranging from shoulders to back to knees and hips. Their treatments have consistently resulted in significant improvement. I have also been a client at Elite PT on and off for the past two years and have experienced the same kind of care, insight and professionalism from all three practitioners. My profile, stemming from a compression fracture in my back that cascaded to weak muscles and attending pain, was complicated and layered. Caroline worked hard to unpack each issue (and the new ones that cropped up), tried new treatments and exercises until she got the the source of the issue. Additionally, all of the staff at Elite PT have treated us with care and support as we went through difficult medical situations. We are ever grateful and highly recommend Elite PT.

Recently, I sprained my MCL and it was recommended by my Doctor that I complete a few weeks of…read morephysical therapy. I was looking for something local with immediate availability and I was surprised by the plethora of PTs in the neighborhood. After a few calls to a number of places, I decided on ATI. (ATI has multiple locations) They are located in a plaza so there was plenty of parking. I arrived, with pre-filled paperwork and I had a preliminary assessment by Cici. Her assessment was thorough so I decided she would be my specialist. Over the next 6-8 weeks, training has been effective. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The interior is basic but all the equipment you'll need is accessible. Overall, this experience has changed my mind about physical therapy. Initially, I thought PT was a waste of time because you can work out on your own. However, my experience showed me that the workouts and exercises are targeted to your injury and your PT can guide you on activity outside of your normal sessions. If you are looking for a smaller facility that feels like a family with knowledgeable staff, I'd highly recommend ATI.
