Alexis Murray is the BEST. She is very attentive, lets you fully explain yourself & your concerns, speaks to you so respectfully, doesn't gaslight you & tries to see things your way so that she can better understand you, & she respects your personal beliefs, & does not come off judgmental nor does she make you feel stupid. Lately we have been going to see Alexis Murray for my son almost once monthly. She is always so patient and detailed with us. She explains herself very well & lets us as parents feel safe enough to ask her many questions & figure out how to go about things in regard to my son's health. She also is so reassuring and makes us feel safe!!! She is a gem there. Astrid is a medical assistant there at Primary Medical and she was also very attentive with son. She made him feel very comfortable and made him laugh. When you have little kids all the little things matter & when they take the extra steps to make sure your child is comfortable it puts us as parents at ease. I, myself have also been seen by Alexis Murray & can attest to a great bedside manner. All in all, I am super happy that my whole family goes to Primary Medical in Oxnard. A 6 month care plan can average depending on needs to be 8,000 out of pocket. Discount is provided if paid right away. You are not informed of the reason for the costs or explained about the availability of consultation with the provider. The health coach assigned is a messenger to the provider. Additional testing will be out of pocket such as labs. If your "goals" were not met you will have to pay an additional fee to continue or enroll in a membership. I do not recommend the practice. Please do not get in debt due to this practice that claims they provide functional health. The provider appeared to be more active on the social media account than the time that was spent with my patient care experience. Coming from an individual with health care experience I would not want anyone to fall in the trap of this functional medicine practice.

Dr. warwar treated the immediate problem with cortizone as well as ordered xray imaging and physical therapy. During the initial visit, Dr. Warwar became concerned with my thyroid and the way that is was protruding from my neck. I had had a lump there since the last time I saw an MD and they said it was fine, so I forgot about it. With no symptoms, Dr. Warwar still decided I needed a biopsy after an Xray showed multiple growths. Turns out after following up with recommended Endocrinologist Dr. Westhoff I was diagnosed with Papillary thyroid cancer at 27 years old. With an early diagnosis I am able to remove the thyroid without much complication in the future other than a pill daily. Without Dr. Warwar, I truly believe this is something I would have not immediately, if ever, be worried about or even conscious of. Not only being my first consult with him, but with having a whole different issue bring me in, I am just impressed and more than grateful for what was potentially a life saving call. I will recommend Dr. Warwar to anyone I meet and continue to share this story because health CARE is so hard to come by now a days.

Billing dept mgr and scribe says my spouse has low back pain. He takes an occasional Advil after riding over 40 miles on his bicycle and up in the mountains at 76 yr old. Dr Williams asked me if I took calcium/D3. I have NEVER been D3 deficient and started taking calcium with D3 in it in when 50 years old as Dexa scan said a bit of osteopenia which has changed little in 25 years. We simply answered Dr Williams questions and I asked her to check my husband's hearing. The scribe and Billing Mgr will write in anything they can (true or not) to charge you extra! It was all routine exam, eyes, ear, throat heart, lung, and breast exam for me. No internal exams. We will be changing doctors asap and refuse to pay extra fees for routine exams and to answer questions. We are healthy, exercise, eat right, and NOT overweight. We reported them to Aetna FRAUD dept! I notified Dr Williams. She will be retiring in 2 years she told me. AVOID THIS GROUP with offices located in Ventura and Oxnard. This is the first time they started UPCHARGING despite going there for several years for our physicals/wellness visit!

When I was finally taken to an exam room, I was greeted by more stained chairs. The nurse commented that patients often wait a long time because "the doctor is really good," so I tried to stay optimistic and hoped the wait would be worthwhile. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The doctor asked a few questions about my symptoms and medications. When I told her I was taking 100 mg of progesterone, she immediately told me that was impossible and that I must be mistaken. I wasn't. It's a common prescribed dosage. The most concerning part of my visit came when the nurse entered the room and began discussing a completely different patient with the doctor. They spent about 10 minutes talking about another gentleman. Listening to a conversation about another patient's care during my appointment felt highly unprofessional and raised serious concerns about patient privacy. The appointment itself lasted only about 15 minutes before I was told lab work would be ordered. My follow-up telehealth appointment was just as disorganized. The nurse seemed flustered and wasn't even able to process my copay correctly. When the doctor joined the call, she appeared distracted, speaking to the nurse while also trying to speak with me. Much of what she said was mumbled, making it difficult to understand. By the end of the call, I honestly asked, "What was the point of this visit?" The nurse responded by saying they would waive my copay. I appreciated the gesture, but it only reinforced my impression that the visit had provided very little value. The staff seemed kind and well-intentioned, but the office as a whole felt extremely disorganized and unprofessional. Between the excessive wait times, lack of organization, concerns about patient privacy, and poor communication, I left with little confidence in the practice. I would not return and cannot recommend this office.

My son is autistic. So therefor the assumption was made that obviously my daughter was too. Clearly she needs to go back to med school and learn diagnosis for autism does not take place until at minimum of age 3. Disgusting. This office also lacks competence to file simple paperwork with insurance, send prescriptions and just function in general. They require multiple phone calls to and half the time I need to explain to them what needs to be done and then call insurance for them.
