I have yet to even have the services completed and I've found that I've already spent $300+ ...not to mention the actual photo purchase packages seem ridiculously priced Although Leila seems friendly and her work showcased online seems to be legit, I've been kind of disappointed with the delayed communication in regards to booking a session time and answering my questions, however, I am still excited to go through with the shoot and I hope that it's all worth it. (will update review after upcoming shoot----------------------------------------------------------) Semi-Update: ...As the frustrations continue, it looks as though I will not be continuing with this photo shoot making my groupon and mua service purchases a complete loss... Although this photographer didn't work out for me, mainly due to the $250-$2,000.00 print prices, if you're looking to spend that much money....she may work for you.

I wanted to write an update and mention that when I got home from a trip overseas my photobook was…read moredelivered the next day (as arranged with Leila through email) on the 6th of September. I ordered some 5x7 and 8x10 prints as well and they were also delivered with the photo book. My photobook is absolutely beautiful. The pearlized finish on the photographs is to die for and the leather cover of my book is fantastic - I even like the smell. I got a brown antique leather cover on the book (after much agonizing over which cover to get) and Leila was great - she sent me electronic images of what my covers would look like and answered the 300 million questions I bombarded her with regarding the shape of the edges of the pages, the background of the pages, etc. etc. (I am a stickler for the details). Though I have spent LOADS of money on this entire experience I feel that sometimes a gal has to do something that is only for herself (I did NOT do this for my husband or anyone but myself nothing wrong with those of you who do) and I am pleased with it. Every now and then when I'm having a bad day I go look at those photos and I feel like a million bucks and it makes my day a little better. Totally worth every penny!

I wasn't Entirely sure because it was definitely something I wasn't sure about because I am not extremely confident in my body. I thought "why would I do this if I don't LOVE LOVE my body right now. It was the BEST decision ever!! This made me fall in love with myself again!! The shoot was so fun! Carla's energy and personality makes the session a blast!! I am Ready to book another! When I left for an hour so she could go through and edit I was So anxious and ready to see them! Her work and editing is amazing!! She made feel so comfortable during the shoot and I loved It!! How to even start... Summer is ALL YOU WILL EVER NEED FOR…read moreYOUR BABY'S PHOTOGRAPHY!!!! You couldn't find a better Newborn Photographer if you tried. Go ahead and try. That's right, you couldn't find one. It's cuz she's the BEST. EVERY. SINGLE. IMAGE is perfect. I've been amazed at how she is able to take totally crazy, newborn skin (bumpy, red, splotchy, acne, jaundice, you name it) and make it smooth and creamy- and it looks beautiful and natural. Soooo many photographers don't do this well. I see (too often) images of babies looking red/splotchy and uncomfortable, or the opposite happens and they look waaay over-photoshopped and plastic. Summer is an expert in every way. I look at a baby's face and take a photo with my iphone thinking "they are SO cute!!!!" then I see the photo and I think, "what happened???!!!" lol. She is able to bring out the beautiful serenity of the babies she photographs and also keeps the real and natural "feel" of it all. Her use of color and props is out of this world. You won't find a better planner, as she plans every detail. She makes every hair stay in place (sooo important to my OCD-ness) and is conscious of each little, tiny finger's placement of your baby. She'll take family photos if you beg her, and she makes the new Mommies look sooooo amazing and natural! It's seriously incredible. Here's the reason you are going to believe every word I say. I'M A PHOTOGRAPHER TOO!!! I would bring my own babies to her every. single. time. I trust her THAT MUCH. Do you know how picky a photographer is when choosing her own photographer??? Summer surpasses my expectations every time she photographs! So glad I found this woman!!!
