Love True You Medical! Dr Ortiz is incredible.....she has adjusted my hormones for several years. She figured out why I have such a hard time sleeping at night, and why I used to get ill all the time. I recently made a trip to True You Medical this past Sunday 5/20/18 for some PRP injections for my lateral epicondylitis that I have had for over a year and has recently gotten so painful and irritating It is bothersome to simply shake another person's hand or grab my coffee cup. Dr. Ortiz has performed this same procedure on my left elbow about 3 years ago and it healed 100% successful. She has also performed Prolotherapy injections in my lower back for a few herniated discs I have from my time spent in the Marine Corps. While my Medical Insurance doesn't cover this type of treatment I prefer this over my conventional Dr. who simply wants to pound 800mg ibuprofen down my throat and offer me steroidal injections and pills that will only wreck havoc on my system and while may offer immediately relief won't heal or fix the problem long term, typical medical industry trying to get you to continue coming back so they can milk the insurance for more money. So that is the huge reason why over the years I have driven from Los Angeles are to the Coachella Valley to receive treatment from Dr. Oritz. She is very knowledgeable and well rounded on health and wellness. Dr. Ortiz has also helped me with diet advice in the past after I had Laparoscopic Sigmoid Colectomy for Chronic Diverticular Disease. She has really opened my eyes to the importance of gut health and how that plays huge role in overall health. This was my first time to her new clinic on El Paseo and the are is nice and welcoming as you walk in makes you feel right at home and relaxed. Prior to receiving the PRP injections at the common extensor tendon for "Tennis Elbow" Dr. Ortiz explained in detail what to expect and was very realistic and you have to appreciate that. Then in a sterile room she began the procedure and talked me through the process as she performed the injection. The pain scale for this particular injection was very minimal maybe a 3 or 4 on a pain scale of 1-10. It only took a few minutes and she was complete. Prior to the injections she drew my blood which she spun up and used the Platelet-rich plasma. She explained the recovery process to me what not to do for weeks following and how to treat any swelling or discomfort if it occurred, which it only did for about 24 hours but not to the point that I needed to do anything. I am on day 2 of recovery and I feel great this morning as I woke up for work at 5am. I am super excited to finally after 16months of discomfort and pain and working through it and it getting worse for this issue in my right elbow to be gone, so I can get back to kettlebells and jiu jitsu! Dr. Nina Campagna is a fantastic doctor! I had X-rays which showed my right hip wasn't doing too well. I had significant pain and couldn't sit for long periods of time.
