Hello Homeowners! Today I am dropping a quick review for Joe Reyes! To start, I have no knowledge about pool maintenance because owning a pool is still somewhat new to me. I've been a customer for a couple of months although my husband was a customer years ago on January 16th I let Barry know that I was not happy. His son was supposed to be here between 10 and 11. Every Wednesday is sun wasn't showing on time. Pull did not look as well as it was. It was supposed to on January 31st. His son didn't know show I. Reached out by Tex and he may be there was an emergency. He said quote his son was scheduled to show .5 PM. His son still wasn't here. Then my bank account got hit for $245 now. Remember If there's 5 weeks in a month, he charges an extra 30. Why would I pay that I was also told the pool was conditioned, no, it wasn't there's cameras everywhere. No refund on when his son did the no show. Nothing farther from him. I would never use this company again. And I'm still upset and hurt with how I was treated. Also was to be e mail my monthly statement, never got 1. Let me first say that Craig and Jordan has been really nice and friendly but This company has been inconsistent with their service since we started. 1st time he Came on a Thursday, no call no show the following Thursday. Had to bug Craig to come on a Saturday to tell me the pool was low on chlorine. But didn't put chlorine. Then came back on Monday. I checked to levels and still. I chlorine. I texted about my pool had zero chlorine on Friday. He wasn't even considerate to text me back. So finally, after messaging customer service, I got some chlorine in my pool after 3 weeks but didn't brush or skim the pool? So I get an email saying my service will now be every Monday. Craig came on that first Monday but never came on Mondays 3 weeks after that. Finally got another email saying that services will be Monday's again. The only reason I'm complaining about Mondays is that I leave the side gate unlocked for those days. The days he doesn't show, I leave the gate unlocked for nothing. There was one day I left the gate locked. So he just left? Didn't bother to ring the doorbell. It's been nothing but excuses. There were a few times he told me he will be here at 0630am but comes at 1000am. He ripped the tubing off the attachment to the Skimmer after vacuuming. Needed to go to home depot to buy pliers to remove it. I was willing to stick it out another 2 months but changed my mind when this company when they decided to RAISED THIER PRICE after just 1 month of service???? I'm done. read more

Went out of town for a month so I had to hire a pool cleaning company. I used them in the past so I thought it would be ok. Once I returned I went to go check on the pool and it was green. Their tech supposedly went there a week prior to me checking the pool... their reasoning was my filter was dirty and I was low on chlorine. I checked the filter and it was out of prime. This was the main reason it wasn't filtering. I primed the pump and it was back to filtering. As for the chlorine, the pool shouldn't need that much or any when the temperature is 30-40 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have any experience cleaning a pool then you know you don't need that much or any chlorine around January. I also checked my Ring camera to see if the pool tech came by when he said he did (Feb 2 - 11AM). Guess what no sign of him/her stopping by. read more

I've paid them over 300 dollars to clean the pool, yet within a few weeks it turn green again. I've cancelled/stopped all services with them in Aug. and two months later I was charged again. I first contacted Barry to get a quote on a vs pool pump to be more energy efficient. He mentioned costs could run $1200-1500 or so for the pump. He then asked if my pump was still running. My pump still does. He instead suggested to run my pump more during off peak hours and see if still got the same results. I hired TrueBlue pool care in San Dimas to service our salt water pool. It has been nothing but headaches. My pool has algae from them not adding salt, plus they NEVER answer their phone. Final straw was last week when our normal pool person sent someone else out who did not know how to service pool. Seems he may have turned off water to pump and it no longer works. He left saying he did not know what to do and someone else would come out that day. No one ever came. After finally reaching the office I was advised by Jessica they sub contract pool cleaning services out so they are not responsible. Contract does not say that. Barry started off nice, talked about his faith and stated he was a man of integrity. Things started off okay until he begin to send different techs to service my pool. I understand helping people to start up their business but when things go south he should be the face of the company and be the one to reach out to make things right. Customer service was pointless and I got no where with the individual on the phone. Came home to find my pump smoking due to my tech putting 3lbs of powdered conditioner in my skimmer and no flow of water. I was infuriated to say the least. As my pump was no more then 3 years old and a V/S one at that. When I called to have someone come out immediately since it was only 3pm I was told I live to far from the techs location in Baldwin Park. When I attempted to call Barry I left a voicemail and of course got no call back. Don't fall for his lies. He uses his faith as a buisness tactic. He's a poor example. After many meetings and and canceled appointments by potential companies, the one that got my business was the company that didnt cancel my appointment and even had their CEO/owner meet me first hand, Barry and Trueblue. Barry is the coneseuir of pool care knowleglde. He knows his stuff and he knows how to pick his staff. His office assistant Jennifer is so friendly and even though you will probably get a voicemail when you 1st call, the important thing is that the call is returned. We have been getting our pool and spa serviced by TrueBlue since August 2015. I should've gone with my gut and looked for a different service when the first thing they did was invoiced me for more than what was agreed upon. And I really wished I read the reviews that were hidden by Yelp for some reason. So to start, I signed up for service and was told that I qualified for the $65 first month special. But first invoice comes in, and instead of a $65 first month special, they charged me $85. I chalked it up to a miscommunication and just emailed them to correct the issue. It gets corrected but this just starts off almost an entire year of many issues, extra charges, repairs and in general, a subpar experience where I felt I was always having to chase them for something or being charged extra for something. Be wary as you'll end up being charged more than a $85 monthly service fee, not to mention assigning technicians that seem to break more things when they attempt to do repairs. Here's a sampling of what we had to deal with since August 2015. August 2015 - Needed Phosphate treatment and VacMate assembly. Seems reasonable at first, perhaps our pool wasn't taken care of properly by the previous pool people. So we paid extra for this. Sept 2015 - Technician leaves our side gate unlocked. Ok, our gate is old and it can be tricky to work, so I email detailed directions and asked to please check the gate. We have dogs and young children so it's a safety issue. Sept 2015 - Needed extra chlorine. Extra $ Sept 2015 - Needed extra chlorine tablet dispenser. Extra $ Oct 2015 - Damaged leaf canister basket. More $ Feb 2016 - Filter repair after they paying them to clean our filter. More $ Mar 2016 - Extra charge for extended cleaning. More $ Apr 2016 - Charged $150 with no invoice, had to request for an invoice to understand what was being charged. Apr 2016 - VacMate gasket (notice we just paid for a new VacMate in August...) Extra $ Apr 2016 - VacMate replacement center rod Extra $ Apr 2016 - The technician leaves the child safety gate open, a big safety issue for us as I have toddlers. I contact Customer Service to please remind the technician to close it but they keep leaving it open. Had excuse after excuse about the gate being "difficult" to close, that we needed to repair our gate. Turns out, they got confused about the child safety gate and the metal gate that leads to our backyard where the pool is...! This is when I should've just cancelled service, but my fault. I keep giving the company more chances. After much back and forth, the technician finally gets it when I leave a pool gate key dangling from the gate to remind him to lock it. May 2016 through August 2016 - Apparent clog issue and prime Failure troubleshooting. Again more $. We paid them to do a clean out of the clog. Still after the clean out, I get notified that the pool pump still has a prime failure and needs further troubleshooting. We paid them to troubleshoot the issue, yet they couldn't figure out how to fix it and ask for me to find a leak specialist. I end up finding a pool equipment guy to come out to fix the issue. They charged me less than what True Blue cost me to troubleshoot the issue to fix the problem. No clog, no leak. Just a small part that needed to be replaced. During this entire process, I meet Barry in person and as nice as he is, we walk through my equipment and I find out that the tech who services our pool got mixed up with which is our pool timer, and which is our Spa timer. Turns out, the Spa has been running on the pool schedule, and who knows what it did to our pump as we also find that the Spa pump isn't running anymore and the spa water is disgusting. Our spa pump is now broken and needs a new pump. I finally decide to cancel our service because one can only deal with that much. I asked for our service to end at the end of the month, and guess what, we get another two extra invoices for chlorine and yet another dispenser. And, I look at my credit card statement, and see that I've been charged again, more than what I have been invoiced. To top it off, when I ask them to return my gate key, they tell me they don't have a gate key and have never used a gate key, that they have just pushed my locked gate hard to get into our backyard. Good thing I have email correspondence that mention the fact that we had issues with our gate not being locked properly before with the owner responding back about it. The owner, Barry seems like a nice enough guy, and I really want to support local businesses but it's just too much. We had pool service many years before and granted, we didn't get spectacular service but I didn't feel like I was always getting extra charges here and there, nor did I have to worry about gates being left unlocked or equipment mysteriously getting damaged after apparent repairs. It's a shame. Perhaps, you'll have better luck with this company but be aware. read more

Barry was nice, that was about it. On the very first day of service, Seth put enough chlorine into the pool to send it off the scale of the test kit for 5 days and counting. Since Seth had left without letting us know what, if anything had been done, we called customer service to find out if it was safe to swim in. They said yes, it was fine. So I went swimming for about 15 minutes. I got out light headed, and went to check the chemical levels. That was when I found out the chlorine was so high. Later that night, I had a headache and a sore throat. We called customer service to explain what happened, and to request a different service guy. They said they needed to check with Barry first, but he was on a trip for a few days, so we waited to talk to Barry. After he was expected back, we called again, but he was too busy. Sorry, we can't change the service guy. Ok. We'd like to quit the service. Ok. I will talk to accounting and get back to you. The next day, we called again and they said they would refund everything except for the charge for the visit. Why? He botched the job, and we haven't been able to go in for the last 5 days! Well, he went there, and we have to charge you for it. She then talked over me when I tried to explain why we didn't think it was fair, and that in spite of what she was insisting, I did feel sick after swimming in our pool. I lost it and tried to tell her to stop talking so I tell her what I was thinking. I said, "Stop. Stop. Stop!" Then she hung up on me. Great customer service.... Barry called me while I was talking to the credit company to stop payments and left a message. Too little too late. read more

I've rarely and to the point of never write reviews. However, I understand what it's like to look for a pool company that you can trust, with such a large invest as your pool. I'm extremely busy and really look for the service that provides me more time and less headaches. I've had my pool for nearly 9 years and 5 pool companies - this is by far the best company in it's professionalism, consulting services, maintenance and knowledge of the pool equipment, and communicating with the customer. On top of it - my pool has never looked better. Even my family has noticed the difference, I hadn't noticed that it wasn't as clean until i saw how clean and clear it can be.
