I had told Charlie that the house needed to be titled in my Living Trust, but it was 2 days before closing that I learned that he or the listing agent had not notified the Escrow Company. Fortunately it was handled just-in-time. Charlie had told me that the furniture I wanted in the house would appear on a separate invoice at closing. I, not being the trustee of my trust, did not see the closing documents, my Trustee did. After closing the numbers didn't add-up. I suspect something was missing, but I was uncertain. Well, later that evening (the day I closed) I received a call from Charlie telling me I had to have a Cashier's check made-out for the furnishings. He told me I would not get the keys to the home I just PAID FOR IN CASH until he received the check! Well, held ransom after spending $600k does NOT rest well with me or Reflect well on Coldwell Banker. My truck was loaded with many of my belongings with my trailer attached behind ready to make the drive to UT to take possession of my new dream home. There was no way with all that load I could get to a bank in-time to get a cashier's check and I told Charlie that. Thanks Coldwell Banker for turning what should be one of the happiest days in my life purchasing my dream home into HELL! After I protested VERY ANGRILY with Charlie he finally said I could bring a check to the office and the keys to MY HOME would be tendered! Held Hostage by Coldwell Banker in St. George, UT! SHAME! During the process being a total stranger to Utah I relied upon Coldwell to get me the necessary information for utility change-over. It arrived the day before closing! The number they provided for the Gas company was disconnected, so again I had to get online and do the research. I thought that's what THEY are PAID FOR! Paid a pretty penny I might add, but their level of service certainly doesn't reflect such! Do NOT use this Realtor... they are bullies and THUGS and obviously very unprofessional and unethical! I will NOT recommend them favorably EVER! They STINK! I only pray that tomorrow when I show-up with the check there will be no more shenanigans from these Clowns! It wasn't I who FAILED to get the orders to the Escrow Company for the Trust Title and the Secondary Furnishings Invoice, it was Coldwell Banker... yet I was to be held hostage? I DON'T THINK SO, Coldwell Banker! Your incompetence caused this, not mine! I was moments away from suing you to the MOON! If tomorrow doesn't work-out with keys in my hand, I surely will be! A Man's Home is his CASTLE! To you it's obviously merely a commodity! You are NOT the gate-keeper to MY PROPERTY, I AM! Learn that quickly or get-out of Real Estate!
