They were clean, hot, and unlimited time for only $1 even as a non-member. Ended up upgrading too the $5 day pass so we could swim, and take advantage the weight room. I signed my grand-daughter Kennedie up with this community center on October 27th, 2020 so that she could take private swim lessons on an ongoing basis. I signed a 3 month required contract which I absolutely agreed with. I told them that each summer we would not be there due to our primary residence being in Washington state. No problem with that, she just told me to let them know ahead of time. While I was there, Kate the swim instructor sent me a text message and told me that she could not make it to the lesson due to her brother being in a car accident while on his way home from work. I explained the situation to the person who I was speaking with and she said no problem, just whenever you begin your membership, just come here get your photo's taken and you will get your memberships cards at that time. I said that sounds great. I told her that I did not know when Kate would get back to me, but as soon as she does, I will be back then for the membership to begin and lessons to take place. During Thanksgiving break, I received a call from my bank that there was possible fraud due to a suspicious transaction. While searching my statement, I noticed a charge from the community center. I was surprised thinking that they made a mistake since I had not been back due to not hearing from Kate. I called them today and the guy who answered was super nice and he said, yeah, sounds like we made a mistake. About a half hour hour later a woman called who was not so nice. I explained the whole scenario to her. She said," I signed the contract in October and I am responsible for that ". I told her, " Yes, I am aware of that, but it would not begin until I came back, and got my membership cards which I had not done yet." She told me that the time started and basically I am required to pay from that day on. I was pretty surprised with that and once again tried to reiterate what I had already said. She was rude, and could care less what I was told or led to believe. I told her that I was going to cancel my membership completely then. She said, "I can't, until one more month is paid for. " I told her that I will indeed cancel and it has nothing to due with the money. I have plenty, but rather the principle." She then proceeded to tell me that she will send me to collections, and that it will hurt my credit." I then replied, that I have both houses paid for and that credit is not something people need when they pay in cash" I don't think I have ever experienced such rudeness ever. Very unethical business who just cares about money and not honoring what people are led to believe. Beware. read more

This is a terrific facility. Love the indoor/outdoor option on a hot day. So much for adults and kids to do and for a very reasonable cost. The water is the perfect temperature. The large slide is terrific. The only complaint I have is how stingy the lifeguards are. You'll feel like you have to stay still while going through the lazy river, and heaven forbid your two-year-old climbs into the bouncers near the kiddie slides. I'm pretty sure the longest I went without hearing a whistle was about 45 seconds. Just the sound I love hearing continuously. read more

For $5 per person, you can't beat it! Washington City Community Center has so much to offer! Everything is new and in great condition. We came for a visit in December, and we're looking for something indoors. We had heard this was a great facility. Our children, aged 4-13 had an absolute blast. Here's what we used and enjoyed: basketball courts, ping pong, pickle ball (on the bball courts), indoor swimming, the track, weights, and the climbing wall. Oh, the climbing wall! We more than got our money's worth on that! You can get basketballs and pickle ball equipment for no cost. Ping pong balls are fifty cents each. And billiards costs (not sure how much). You can pay your $5 and rest assured you will keep busy for hours. We went for a couple of hours, left to get lunch, and went back and played another 4 hours. (Keep your receipt to get back in.) My only complaint was that the woman at the front desk was rather brusque when explaining the rules. It didn't bother me enough to put a dent in the 5 star rating, however. read more

Fun, lively, and entertaining environment! There is something for age groups! For Toddlers you have a small slide and little Johnny Jumpers for new ones bounce in and out of the water. For adolescents there is two medium sized slides with a large # of gallons bucket that tips over and splashes onto the children. For teens/adults they have a long and fast hydro-tube to slide down. For seniors they have an Olympic sized pool for swimming laps. Last but not least for all age groups they have a lazy river! Of course as well they have all of the athletic activities that you would expect at a traditional recreational center! I love this place. I come here to swim laps and the water is clean as are the shower facilities. There are signs everywhere to shower before entering pool and most people adhere to this protocol in etiquette. I switched from a local gym due cleanliness issues in the pool area. We have only been here a hand full of times. And only because our company is having a party here or we have won free day passes off the radio. My kids sure enjoy the water slides and playing to the pool. I, however, can't stand the high level of noise or the overwhelming smell of chlorine that you can smell from the parking lot. The most time I can't spend here is an hour... If you can tolerate the smell and the noise, have fun! If not, don't go here. It's not a bad place, just not my cup of tea! read more

Scam. My mother went to an event and paid $5 to get in (to the event), but they would not let her do anything because, according to them, you had to sign up in advance. There was no information about this prior to the event, nor did they bother to tell her when she called beforehand. They also refused to give her her money back even though she had a receipt and was only in there for 5 or 10 minutes, mostly waiting in line. I've lived in Washington County for almost five years and still continue to be impressed by the disorganized shitshows that pass as businesses around here. If you're in this area for fun, consider going to the library instead; the people there actually have brains. read more

I absolutely loved this place! We came here while on vacation and I was so amazed by this place! So many fun activities for kids to do. They had swimming, basketball, rock climbing, pool and many other things I'm sure I am missing. It's good old fashion fun. Also, there is a snack bar that serves a slew of things. Some things I recall seeing were nachos, macaroni and cheese, pizza, just to name a few. Highly recommend this fun place. read more

Beware of fraudulent practices! I enrolled my wife and myself as members last December. They didn't have the ability to make a membership card and told us they would call when the cards were ready. After a couple of weeks, I went by and was told again the cards were not available. After 2 more attempts and being told they would call when the cards were ready, I just forgot about it and of course presumed we couldn't use the facilities until we had our cards. Today, 7 months later, I received a call that the cards were finally ready! I went to pick them up and discovered that the expiration was in 5 months even though I paid for 12. I was told that I signed a contract for 12 months and if I didn't use the facility it was my fault. No one told me I could use the facility awaiting their delayed production of the cards. They would not bend an inch and tried to make it my fault. I was led to believe I had to have a card to get in and that my 12 month membership would begin at that time. I feel totally cheated - not a good customer service event! read more

Ok, I come here almost every day, because I live so close, the pool is really friendly for the little kids. But this place isn't really fun for the teens. The only place where people above 4 feet can swim is in the lap pool, but even there you can't talk and swim with friends because if you just sit on the edge to catch your breath or talk for just for a second, the lifeguard come to tell you that you have to either keep swimming with no stops, or get out. I find this completely not fun. The work out center upstairs is pretty good. But over all if you want to come here, make sure to bring the little ones. read more

We just moved to the area, and were looking for a place to entertain our 7 year old niece. This place is AWESOME. Being mostly indoors is wonderful in the hot weather, and the pool area is fabulous. Lots of slides, water features, and toys for the kids (including my wife and I!), and is rated for something like 800 people, so it is BIG. My niece summed it up well, "I don't like this place, I LOVE IT". They have a snack bar that serves the pool area, with reasonably priced junk food and drinks, and the rest of the Community Center has multiple gyms, as was a air hockey, billiards, and some other games. Also, there is an outdoor picnic area with a couple of huge grills that I believe are just available by reservation for parties. But what a great community center! And most cost effective: noon to 6 pm for $5 per head. Thanks Washington City for a great day! read more

Best REC CENTER in the state for a reason. Always clean, safe and the staff is very friendly. We are blessed to have this in our community.
