February 2025, I hired TrueGreen to maintain my lawn. I accepted the yearly LawnCore, chinch and potash prorated yearly plan service, and they convinced me to add mosquito, flea and tick control treatment. Paying in advance for the prorated yearly (only 10 months) treatment cost me over $1,500. I must notice that I was taking good care of my lawn and showed as "healthy" on their first inspection. After two months svc I noticed no improvement in my lawn, matter of fact weeds were improving but grass had shown no difference. When asking why weeds were not disappearing, their response was: it will take one more month to see the results. Their excuses went from, grass was receiving too much water, to not having enough irrigation, (I run my automatic sprinklers three times a week approx. 35 mins. each zone) and grass was cut too short, when it was cut at the lawnmower's higher level. The initial quote was based on treating 14,000 sq. ft. but my cameras noticed they were only treating just the front lawn. I must mention that I paid for a yearly plan that they stopped servicing at the end of October 2025 and in November they sent me a renewal quote totaling over $1,900. Regarding the mosquito service, after month and a half I called them mentioning we were having a big problem with them in our backyard. Their response was that mosquitos were coming from our neighbors and they couldn't control it. Why do they sell a service they can't control? I had better results treating it myself with a $12 spray once every two months. It was my mistake not to check the horrible reviews they have, so don't waste your money, you only will get a brown lawn, patchy, overrun with weeds, vague excuses and zero accountability. read more

So TruGreen too my prepayment, then made unauthorized charges to my credit card, failed to deliver results and only responded to me when I went to my credit card company to seek 75% of my prepayment returned since I cancelled within the first three months and to reverse the unauthorized charges. TruGreen wanted the dispute with Visa settled. Once that was settled and I thought I was done with them they are now sending bills for services that are not being provided. In short I experienced unauthorized charges (theft?) on my credit card, poor service, unfulfilled promises and u true sales pitch. When I call the Local office, no one answers the phone and the toll free call center reps don't answer any questions and will not escalate to a supervisor. I am wondering if I may now have to file a criminal complaint, cancel my credit Card and have it replaced to eliminate their unauthorized charges and the time needed to challenge them, and if I should start posting pictures of before I started using them and after they started resulting in dead plants and bare spots in my lawn? At least let a customer fire you and go away quickly and quietly. If Tru Green wants to respond, please provide a number to corporate offices that will go to an executive and not some person at a call center. They hide behind walls that getting things resolved. You send a different service person here for each application and give them no definitive information. My home has 4 lawn areas. I immediately contacted the salesperson to inform him of the error He said he would speak with the manager who oversees the technicians. Ten months ago they came to my house to evaluate my lawn. They said they could bring back my lawn so I paid for a year's service. After 10 months of them telling me my green lawn was coming, I had huge brown spots. I called and they came out and told me I needed to re-sod my entire yard as I didn't have enough grass. Why didn't they tell me this in the first place? They refunded the last two months and said they would contact the Vero branch but nothing has happened. Easily some of the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Take a pass if you are seriously considering doing business with this company. I hired this company in the third quarter of 2022 to help me with my lawn, which was struggling with color and health. They came out to do treatments for several months, and while I will say that some weeds were taken care of, the grass was still just as yellow and spotty as it was when they first came out. I have cameras all around my house, and I would watch as the treatment technician would skip one side of my house and not put any treatment down. I addressed this with them, and they swore up and down that they did. They did not know that I had a 360 view of the exterior of my house. On top of that, when I called to cancel on Jan 3, 2023, because I did not feel like they were doing anything, I was told I would receive a refund per the contract. One month later, I got a phone call saying that my next technician appointment had been scheduled. I called in to address the issue, and they told me that the customer service rep I called a month ago to cancel instead wrote in my notes that if one of my services were credited, I would stay a customer. That is not the conversation I had with them; the first customer service rep clearly lied on the company documents. Do yourself a huge favor and forget this company. Signed up for a year, however it was for only 9 months. I have More weeds and my yard is now a completed Disaster. I had to put sod down to replace all the weeded areas. I just started a year service contract with TruGreen, I was told that the Tech would be here today between 1-6pm (what a big window) anyway I was tracking Rodney on the interactive map and saw he was working all around my neighborhood, still waiting for him when all of a sudden I got a text that said my service was cancelled due to weather...WHAT! There's not a cloud in the sky and it's not supposed to rain for four days now. I have got to be the biggest bunch of bumbling idiots I've ever come across. I literally can't go into how many problems I've had with them. They never send the right person, they don't schedule correctly, they're not communicative in anyway shape or form. There's a district manager named Tina who probably has the IQ of 60, I'm just done with them. Do not hire this company it is a massive headache! First thing for every treatment I've had done I've had to call approximately 3 to 4 times to get it done correctly. They pretty much do a half assed job. Several times I had to have people come out multiple times because the job was done incorrectly. I should've listen to my neighbors they all said don't hire them they're the worst. Sometime in November I had an infestation of white flight and scale on two of my Croton's that were on my porch. One of the service providers, John S, was nice enough to come on my porch and spray and treat them. He told me he needed to come back every week and spray until it was gone. I was assured this would happen. He showed up once and never again. We've been having fairly warm weather this winter so end of December rolls around and the scale and white flight has infested both of my Croton's. I called True Green speak to an idiot named Tina, she assures me that they're sending John back out, and that the service will be quote "for free".... Some guy shows up, not John" starts to argue with me about what he's doing. Proceeds to spray my lawn instead of my trees and shrubs. Then I get a bill. I called Tina, who told me to call her directly if I had any problems (I had spoken to her about four times now) she proceeds to tell me that they had treated the lawn and not the trees and shrubs and that that was billed for. Even though they had a schedule for John to show up on the same day he never showed up. She basically just cut me off and hung up, I was angry I told her I did not ask for my lawn to be done I asked for my trees and shrubs and she just continue to argue with me. They don't stand behind what they say they're going to do. They're just out to make money She literally did the exact opposite of what she said she was going to do. And also my trees and shrubs have now not been treated. So I have to find a new company to do that. I should've learned my lesson so many times before when they had messed up but this was the biggest mistake of all. Just look at the other reviews there are terrible. Save yourself a massive headache and don't hire them. There's plenty of other companies out there that has five star reviews and do wonderful jobs for about a fraction of the cost. read more

If there could be a negative star I would totally give them a negative star and review, They said they would fertilize and weed control our yard for $63 For first time service. We agreed to that, and they would recommend other services to us. They came out, sprayed our yard. My husband talk to them, and nothing else was discussed or approved. Today we got a bill for $319.87. Never was anything discussed, never was anything approved, they just billed us for bogus applications. We asked them, to refund the charge on our credit card. We Talked for over an hour to try to get reimbursed for the unlawful billing of services not approved, and to cancel our contract with them. The customer service person, kept trying to give us a discount on services we did not agree to, refused to refund our money. We asked to talk to a manager, of course she said they were out of the office. After much persistence and refusing to accept all her offers, she finally agreed to refund our money, and cancel our contract. We will see if we get our money back or if we will have to report them further. This is an awful way to treat customers. Had they been honest and upfront they would still have a customer. But now they have a family who will share their horrible experience. I rarely write reviews and only if I receive exceptional service. This is not a review of the quality of Tru Green lawn service. I have no opinion on that because I quickly eliminated them as my lawn service due to their HIGH PRESSURE TACTICS! I decided this past Thursday (May 5) to check out a few lawn care companies to service my lawn, shrubs and trees. I spoke to Tru Green (along with a few others) and ended my conversation with instructions for the sales rep to call me on Monday after I'd have had time to think things over. He asked if he should call the next day (Friday) and I repeated, "No - call me Monday!". Within 2 hours of this call, a Tru Green rep was at my house to look over my property and offer additional "price savings". An hour or so later, I received a phone call from Tru Green offering yet more additional savings. Next day Friday I rec'd 4 phone calls and then on Saturday morning, another. I told the rep during the last call on Friday and again on Saturday that any chance of me choosing Tru Green was long gone due to their high pressure tactics. Their response to this was to hang up mid-conversation. On top of all this I found out late Saturday that the service rep that visited me on Thursday basically trespassed into my gated community when he positioned his car to enter through the exit when a resident left (we do have a keypad for use by visitors and contractors which this sales rep decided not to use). The resident followed this unauthorized vehicle and approached the driver who identified himself as a Tru Green rep who had an appointment with me. There was never any appointment set up. My recommendation is to avoid Tru Green and trash their constant mailers unless you enjoy HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTICS! read more

They have the worst service. I have sections of my lawn that are actually dead. They sent me to collections because they did another treatment but didn't bill my credit card company so now I have to worry about my credit. I was supposed to get 10 treatments for the entire year and they did 7 of them in the first six months. I quizzed them as how are you going to do the remaining 3 treatments for the remaining 6 more months and never really answered. Additionally, they have a tremendous turnover of staff. I have probably had six different technicians over the last 2+ year. Looking forward to a new service that actually cares for my lawn. read more

I'm posting my experience with tru green lawn service. We started using true green several months back and shortly after starting the service we noticed our Eugenia trees starting to die. We contacted the true green office in Vero to complain and have a technician come and take a look at the situation. The trugreen technician came and diagnosed the trees documenting that they were dying due to chemical stress from over spraying. Again I contacted the office and asked them to help remedy the problem. After many non returned phone calls and continuously being ignored. We finally got a call back from the regional manager who assured me that he would take care of the problem and that he'd like to meet to come and take a look at the trees personally. After a couple of canceled appointments by the regional manager the final appointment was scheduled that he agreed to keep after canceling the previous appointments but that appt ended up being a no show or call. He also did not return any subsequent phone calls. This is how true green treats its customers this is the trugreen customer service policy to ignore customer complaints. Tru green did not accept responsibility for their service or products, they took no action and they basically ignored the problem and the customer. I posted a Before & After photo of one of our Eugenias. If you choose to use tru green do not pay them up front for their service which is what they require because they don't stand by their product, they don't stand by their service and their customer service philosophy stinks. The WORST company I had ever had the displeasure of working with. They have lied to me numerous times, ruined my yard. I will be attaching pictures. Three times I have given them the opportunity to make it right and three times have been totally disappointed. Several supervisors have been told they would follow up with me and again no response. I called in May talked to a supervisor Jeff Duncan and he actually Hung-up on me. Isn't that professional. Sprayed my yard April 3 saw no results, called April 5-6 said I still had ants running around outside, James said he would get somebody right out there as of May 19 no one has showed up. Asked about my monthly spraying, he said someone would be out May 23. Still no has showed up. Today is now June 2 and I will be cancelling my service for the last time. Lack of communication, follow up and zero level of customer service. After US following up to ask to have service done with TruGreen, NOT agent Chris xxxx (who's in sales, or maybe just an order taker) never called us. I actually "initiated" the sale by going to my across the street neighbors' home when "she called TruGreen for an estimate". Seemed like a fair process, product and pricing, but once we said let's do it, we hadn't heard for DAYS if TruGreen really was ever going to come? Then at 7:30 AM we got a call one morning TG was here to do first application, okay, considering I typically never wake up till @ 9:30 got me started early, okay, but then they RANG our door bell to let us know they were here, well no kidding, we live in a gated community the Guardhouse called me to let you in and woke me up, just "DO YOUR STUFF, leave the paperwork and go to your next call".....one thing after another, then wanted to PAY for our monthly bill for the lawn and Fire Ant application to our lawn. We rent the home, but we spoke to our landlord who agreed to the plan, initially thought they'd pay annually, but decided to simply pay monthly. No problem, we're just here until our new home in Jupiter is built, and we said we'd pay and simply reimburse us for the @ $45 a month ($521 per year for lawn care AND fire ant process @ $400 + $120 fire ant). When trying to pay monthly (or every 6 weeks) no way to change on your website (it was some INITIAL payment of +$200) ($120 for fire ant process plus ???? not sure where the $29.95 first month went?). Anyways, called TruGreen, spoke with Janet xxxx who I had to repeat myself 5 times, and she couldn't charge us $45 a month x 12 months (that would only be for the lawn care) ??Where did the intro $29.95 go? PLUS the $120 for fire ant one time, but annual guarantee which was explained day 1 by Craig, but NEVER WAS IT EXPLAINED that fee has to be paid in ONE LUMP SUM at the beginning. So frustrated I called Craig xxxx on Monday April 29th to let him know my frustrations with TruGreen, he still hasn't followed up, and here now 48 hours later, still the same old NO RESPONSE, no follow up or follow through from Craig xxxx or anyone at TruGreen. Guess you must be settling for AVERAGE with your sales staff, well I guess at least this ONE individual that seems to be a fine, nice young man, but that's it, being "nice" doesn't grow a business.....PLEASE CANCEL our service, send us a bill for the annual Fire Ant Control of $120 (which if we actually ever get a billed as we will be happy to pay for service rendered, you better believe we'll be calling for every ant hill we may see in the coming year as it's GUARANTEED???) and we also will pay the promotional $29.95 first month. Sure there are other Small Business Owners that truly do have and exhibit Lawn "CARE".........not TruGreen which should be changed to "TruGreen We Really Don't Care".......that has been evident.... read more

I hire them expecting not to think about my lawn, but the truth is that you need to be like a supervisor. You need to let them know where to treat your lawn. They should know what they are doing but they just came to our house and treat "100% of our lawn" in less than 5 mins. Really?? They just spray here and there but not 100%. Then you call them to let them know and they will come again and do the same thing, a crapy coverage. Not recommended, they are focus on volume and not quality. If I could give them zero stars I would! We have three small dogs. I asked for two things. I am in a wheelchair and cannot get to the door. Please do not knock on the door or call but send me a text before you come. They have never once texted me! They were knocking on the door The first few times which just makes my small yappy dogs go nuts! He did not knock today but the paper said he did not knock because it was early! Meaning he would've knocked if it hadn't been so early! The second thing I asked for is to be sure the gate was closed behind them because it's hard to close. if my dogs get loose I cannot run after them. they did get it closed today but they did not the first two times. I called last month and got the general number in Orlando and they said they could not give me a local number but they would call them and have them call me and they never did call me back! So today I looked up the local number and when I called it said it was not connected. So I got the general number and told them I wanted the number for the local office and they gave me a number after about 10 minutes and that number was not connected! So then I called The general number back and Sandy gave me the runaround some more so I finally Just told her to canceled my servic and she continued to try to get me to allow her to handle it!!! Evidently as a customer I am not important enough to speak to people personally! Incredibly poor customer service skills! We went with TruGreen because Orkin had a hard time closing the gate. Both of these men serviced with a smile, were respectful/congenial, and focused on what they were here to do. What a pleasure to do business with TruGreen. We called to cancel and were treated very rudely by a 'supervisor' who kept talking over me as I was trying to explain the problem. I had Scott's Lawn Service for over 5 years without any problems. Once Tru Green took over it wasn't long before they increased the price of the service, weeds remained in my lawn and the customer service was terrible. Recently, after a lawn treatment the technician left a note indicating my palm trees were infected with insects and for $49.95 per 3 treatments the problem would be resolved. I did not respond and the next thing I knew I received a robo call telling me they would be out to treat my palms. I immediately called and stated I did NOT authorize this service. The gentleman I spoke with apologized for the miscommunication and would cancel the service. A few days later I received another note in the mail indicating they could provide insect control for my trees at $69.95 per treatment. And again I received a robo call telling me Tru Green would be out to service my palms. I AGAIN called to complain and cancel any and all services with them. But the best part is I had a landscape man come out to look at my trees and not one of them showed any evidence of having an insect problem. read more
