I had gone to Oliver's plumbing with a drain cover replacement needed. It was great that I went there, as my situation was really that I needed more than I had planned. The fact that my second floor shower was only not dripping below was because it was siliconed and that stopped the leaking years ago . When I got to the counter I was greeted by a younger guy that may have been a family member or owner of the company. He said it needed to be addressed by going thru the ceiling of my neighbor below. That did not sound like something I wanted to hear. He got Dave the manager to come and help as he had to leave . Dave was great! He said, no, it didn't need to be done from below, and that he had what was needed to fix the job. He went and got my part and showed me and explained how it would work. We also discussed what I needed to fix the tub situation. I guess Dave just came back to work there that week. He called me promptly with prices of the parts that same day. I was trying to do my due diligence and read the reviews . I called Dave and that's when he told me he was the manager . I said I wasn't comfortable with anyone else that might not know how to do this if the owner doesn't. I questioned the company's billing practices as people complained that the round up to the next hour ( Dave said it was every half hour now). I questioned people complaining the guy or guys would be out in the truck just adding to the billing hours not doing anything. Dave assured me that the only thing they might have to do is fill out the paperwork on the iPad for the parts and labor . They were to be billing at 150 per hour. Dave said it's normal for the paperwork/billing to be done on the clock and or running back and forth to truck to get parts etc. So in my mind I had a hesitation that they might be the type of people to string out the job for more billable hours ( based on other reviews), and also, if the owner doesn't know how to do my job(that it could have been done from the top), how can I expect hired help to know. Dave assured me that he would communicate with the installers to make sure everyone was on the correct page. He assured me everything would be fine, so I said okay, and booked my install. He said the guys were on a job first thing in the am and then they'd come to my place. He said they should be done by 10, no later than 10:30. He said he'll put me down for 10:30am and ask them to contact me 30 minutes before they'll arrive as I am not living at that location. I decided to go to my place a little earlier than 10 and do some work while I was waiting. I watched the clock tick away. I decided that I need to call as it was just past 11:30 and my spider senses were like telling me I shouldn't go with these guys . I called and canceled. In fairness to them, the text did say I was blocked at 10:30-12:30. I may have seen this before and forgot, but all I could think of is Dave saying 10-10:30, and I thought maybe they are late because they are bilking hours from the customer before me ... either way , I was still uncomfortable and cancelled. We needed our master bath faucets, shower, and tub filler valve cartilages all replaced due to not getting proper hot water through them. Our technician Rudy did an excellent job. Our complaint is that the tub filler required a specific tool to remove the old one and they needed to come back to finish the job, we asked if thought this second service should of been covered for the same price. It wasn't. So we had to pay $250 for first visit and $150 for the second one. All though the service was good we will never use them again. Management rates poor, Choose wisely everyone. There are plenty of other options.!!?? Next day we received a phone call from management and I was informed that my second charge for return service call will be returned. I'll update date this again. 01/29/26 They did come back and replaced a tub filler valve because the new one was faulty. After repairs the hot water problem still had issues but the technician consulted with his management team and found out the problem was in the tankless water heater. We needed a repipe on my mother-in-laws house and needed to remodel the kitchen as well. Their pricing was competitive and they were very accommodating given that we were in time constraints with homeowners insurance renewal looming. Pam in the office and Brian the manager were spot on with everything, and all of their guys were great. Courteous, neat, punctual and professional. They introduced themselves when they arrived and were pleasant to say the least. I would definitely recommend them and will call them first when the need arises. read more

We called Oliver's Plumbing under a recommendation of a close friend but we do not recommend this company to anyone. They are expensive and if they work in your house for 2:30 they will charge 3:00 hours. No half hours. The technician sat in his truck for at least 25 minutes to get to charge more. Very tough to communicate with to get estimate on pricing. They came out and refused to give a ballpark estimate or scope of work. They then sent me a bill for coming out despite not communicating what needed to be done and how much it might cost. Better off trying a different plumbing company. read more

Don't call this company. They don't rate one star. They will cancel if a larger job comes instead of honoring your scheduled job. The staff is incompetent to book and follow thru on appointments. Oliver himself was the worst plumber I've ever worked with and I worked in the trades! He did personal work for me. What he did LEAKED!!! When I called him back he ATTEMPTED to repair it the whole time telling me if he had to come back it would be a fee visit!!!! Fee visit to repair his mistake!!! Because I knew him I called for another job on my home!!! He said between a low number and high number depending on the time of the job. It came in at half the time and charged me the FULL PRICE!!! My bathroom remodel was scheduled to have vanity sink plumbing installed and shower head moved and body jets put in. Unfortunately the day of my apt Oliver's shut down due to Covid. I called the following Monday to have my service reschooled spoke with a male who informed me they would be out Wednesday to do the work between 845-9am, I waited no one showed so I called and Oliver's informed me that my service was for Thursday and not Wednesday, so 2 days with time taken off of work and still no plumber. Thursday my husband went into work late to stay for the plumber in am and when the plumber showed up at 845 and saw the work to be done he stated " I am to old for this". My husband called the manager and explained our concern over this, my husband proceeded to show the employee the placement of the shower jets and left for work. When the work was finished (1 sink now with a hole in the 1700$ vanity, (was supposed to be 2 sinks), and 4 body jets completely wrong placement- like placed for a 600lbs person (I have pics) my husband stopped payment and we called Oliver's at 430 of course to be told their on service now. We called back Friday am, finally got in touch with the manager at 11:30ish who was telling me they'll have to schedule me etc. and in mean time by bathroom tile etc would be on hold as we wait on the plumber. This was not acceptable so I complained, they managed (the manager and owner) to come out that Friday and saw the jets in the wrong area and the sink. The owner prior to getting to my house was on the phone with the manager (Dave manager, John owner) and made the comment to Dave "lets just fix it and get these people off our asses") Dave knows I heard it because we discussed it after. They did move the jets to the appropriate location, my sink plumbing was still where the original employee placed it (I was told it could only go there- not the case because I had a different company plumb the other side without issues- I have pics). I have not reissued a check as I feel there should be some form of decency on Oliver's part to make us somewhat happy with the frustration, poor work, rudeness, and lack of care on their part to do a good job and satisfy the customer. They billed us for 7.5 hrs. and their employee was present at 8:45 speaking with my husband about the job (I guess they charge for that, did you know they charge for drive time? Ask them, that's what I was told) and he was done at 3:09 took him 40mins to write up the bill, I have text messages. That's roughly 6hrs of work not 7.5. Sad that this is the kind of business they are running. By the way their employees also start their day after getting to the office by having their am coffee before heading out to the job, just putting this on here as it doesn't seem appropriate for a manager to tell a customer they will be at your house after their morning coffee. read more

Choose a different company for your plumbing needs. This company will intentionally over charge you by utilizing unethical practices to increase the amount of time on the job. The owner John Oliver encourages his employees to add an additional hour to every job. They do this by charging "travel time" and rely on GPS location for calculating the number of hours charged. I caught their plumber Scott sitting in his vehicle for 20-30 minutes before knocking on my door and then sitting in his vehicle for 30 minutes after giving me an invoice to justify the time he was trying to charge me. Additionally, the services they provide are average at best and will leave a mess for you to clean up. General manage, Brian, will disregard any customer's complain and will threaten to place you on a "do not serve list". I have called many times to express my concerns to the owner and he has not responded. I made a mistake and hired this company to unclog a line. My experience has been horrific. Great owners but I feel totally hipped because the guy couldn't do the job I wanted done but he charged me for an hours worth of work when he was here for 30 minutes. 90.00 bucks just to tell me it couldn't be done. Then to find out from another plumber it could've done with a few minor adjustments, makes me think the guy who came just didn't want to do my job. I think the owners should adjust their policy of charging $90 for a visit to only charging that amount plus that per hour if they can do the job. I never write reviews, however, this group of people are most deserving. I have had trouble with the plumbing in my home ever since I purchased it. I have used various plumbers and it seemed to be a temporary fix until now. I was overwhelmed by the proficiency of the entire office. They were on time, polite, thoroughly completed the job, addressed my current needs and answered all of my questions. Everyone in the office was very knowledgeable including the front office staff. One of the woman walked me through how to temporarily "fix" the problem, over the phone, until they could get someone out to my house that very same day. These guys are terrible. Arrived three hours late and didn't apologize for keeping me waiting. Overcharged me on the labor hours. Was completely clueless when I asked about tankless water heaters.
