This arena is alright. I came here for a graduation so I can't speak for what it's like during a game or a concert event. The facilities overall were pretty nice if not average for this type of Arena. Plenty of seating and it looks as if there are many options for food and beverage available..though none of them were open for the event that I was at. I think their security and staff are a bit much at times. They have a very strict rule that you cannot exit the arena and then re-enter. There are signs everywhere stating it. I can understand how that would be alright for a big basketball game or even a concert..but I thought it was a bit much to still enforce it so strongly for a graduation..especially when they weren't offering any type of food or beverage options that night. I kind of felt trapped once I realized that they were still enforcing that rule that night. I also witnessed some of their staff hassle people about standing in places that they shouldn't have been (right out in the open with no signs stating that you shouldn't be there)..they just overall seemed to have a lot of extreme rules and were a bit pushy in enforcing them. Parking was a mess too. There weren't a crazy amount of spaces, and once everyone was leaving it was just Gridlock for a while. I can't imagine how horrific it is for an event with a bigger crowd...or even a sold out event..yikes. Overall..a decent facility, an overbearing staff & security team, and pretty crappy parking. It's just..ok.

I had previously been here for a UC vs UCONN basketball game while UC was temporarily playing here and enjoyed it. Great sporting event venue. Most recently I came for a country concert, Brantley Gilbert. I was very impressed with the setup of the stage and how close it felt, even on the second level. The acoustics were great as was the lighting and pyrotechnics! We did not eat anything, so I did not notice what the food situation was like, just purchased beers. We found that it is quicker to bring cash and find yourself a walking vendor than it is to wait inline at the regular stands. It also seemed to be a $1 cheaper per beer from the walking vendors. It was nice that parking was including with tickets as opposed to having to pay at other area concert venues. The only downside with the parking was after the show, of course there is going to be traffic, but there was a huge delay in anyone arriving to direct it. This left us sitting with no movement for quite sometime.

I came to the recent UC vs Wichita State game on Sunday, it was my first time at BB&T Arena and there is not a bad seat in the arena for a basketball game. Like many others have said the parking situation isn't ideal as 471 around the exit is usually a standstill, but there are also two traffic lights which don't help matters. Getting into the arena after parking is a breeze, security checks the ladies purses and anything suspicious and then the ride up the escalator to the ticket scanners and off to the seats. We didn't purchase anything on this trip so I can't comment on concessions. However when we sat down in the front row of the upperdeck there was a brown water that was sticky on the floor, no idea what it was. Exiting the arena was a bit of a hassle as the escalator and stairs were packed and thus the lines were moving slowly. It also took a while to exit the parking.

What an unforgettable experience!…read more I recently gifted my husband two tickets to see Keith Urban in concert for Father's Day, and it turned out to be one of the best nights ever! It was my first time at Riverbend Music Center, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offer free parking--a big plus right off the bat. The entire event was well organized, with police efficiently directing traffic and event staff being helpful and friendly throughout. Even though it's an open-air venue, the seating in front of the stage is covered by a roof, and large ceiling fans helped provide some relief from the sweltering heat. And the concert? Wow. It was my first time seeing Keith Urban live, and I loved every single minute. He's incredibly talented, down-to-earth, and truly knows how to connect with the audience. Yes, concessions are on the pricier side (a bottle of water was $6), but there was a wide selection of food and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available, which added to the full concert experience. Highly recommend both Riverbend Music Center and seeing Keith Urban live if you ever get the chance!

My professors are behind me every step of the way, whether that be in research, filling in my knowledge gaps, or simply a ear to listen. The Psychology department is outstanding & has helped me gain internships every summer for the last 2 years, one in Ohio & one in New York. The opportunities I have at this school are unmatched to what I was offered at Louisville. I feel I know all of my professors personally. Smaller class sizes allow for a student based discussion approach rather than pushing curriculum. I can ask questions through lecture & I feel professors take time to throughly answer them to the best of their ability, ensuring I understand what is being explained to me. Whether it be extra study materials, additional office hours, or impromptu to drop ins my professors are always available to me. I find this the most valuable aspect of my time here at NKU. We have an extensive library, with study rooms, quiet floors, as well as social floors. The library as has an Einstein's Bagel which has coffee, bagels, sandwiches, pastries, etc. The rec center is state of the art with many classes for guided fitness goals, a huge pool (they even have lifeguarding as a class!), a hot tub, a sauna, basketball courts, racket ball courts, a bouldering wall, and an indoor track ! The biggest short coming of the university , hands down is parking. Other than that I love my school. #NorseUp

As part of my cousin's bachelor party this past Saturday we spent the better part of the afternoon…read moredown at River Downs to take in some horse racing. This was actually my first time at River Downs, though I have been to Turfway once before. There is no entry fee and there are no employees at the gates checking bags, so entry is perfectly painless. Our group arrived on a school bus, taking the long way to get there, so we missed the first race of the day. I sat out betting on the second race and eventually placed a trifecta bet on the third race after finding the ATM. I didn't win this time, and that trend continued for the fourth and fifth races too. We spent the majority of the time hanging out near the rail on the paved standing area in front of the open air grandstand. Beers were just $4.50, which is much better than most other sporting events. And since they didn't check anyone coming in, I wonder if some patrons didn't sneak in some of their own beer in the multiple coolers that I saw throughout the day. My luck changed during the sixth race of the day. After coming close to winning on one of the earlier races, and paying attention to what my program was saying versus the results of the day, I started catching on. Or at least I thought I was starting to understand it all. Most of my bets were either trifecta bets, or I would occasionally pick one horse to win, place, or show, as I did in the sixth race. In my program the #6 horse was listed as 10-1 odds to win, and a couple of minutes before post the large board in the infield displayed the odds as much higher, over 20-1. Once I saw this I ran to one of the automated machines and bought the ticket above. I thought that maybe there was something that I wasn't picking up on that lowered the odds, but I figured it was worth a few bucks to find out. As the race started horse #6 was nowhere near the front of the back. The board only updates for the first 3/4 of the race at best, so as the horses all come toward the finish line it is really hard to tell who is in the lead. As this race came to a close I watched as #6 charged up the inside rail and won the race! I had won $124.80! With just two races after that, I made a couple of bucks off the seventh race and was then put in charge of making a bet for my dad, brother, and I who pooled some money together. Again I went with the win place show bet, and nearly won again as the horse I selected finished in fourth place. Bummer. We had a great time and I look forward to going down to the track again in the future. Kim has already said that she wants to go too.

It is an older facility with little updating and that's what I find so charming, that it looks similar to what it did when my grandparents took us as kids (don't judge). If you've never bet on the ponies, this is a good place to start with free parking, free admission, $2 for your race book, $2 bets and the option to bring your own picnic lunch. I cannot comment on the concessions because it is there's an option to bring my own food, I'm on it (for nutritional reasons). Not a gambler? Then the people watching is sure to delight, you will see clientele you've never laid eyes on at other entertainment venues, but it takes all types to populate Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, right?! We find something for the whole family at River Downs, pony rides for kids and the ability to get down on the rail during live racing. Shade and tables for the older family members to sit and eat a picnic lunch (no alcohol or glass can be brought in) between races while studying the race book. It's an annual summer trip for us!

Most of the games I wanted to play are in the smoking section unfortunately and many of the people liked to hog them.
