Stadium itself was trash! Not very clean, people are rude both fans and custodial staff. Food and drinks were hella expensive and not very good. Place smelled of sewerage and weed, which is such a great smell. Crowds were pushy and rude. Bengals team is actually pretty decent and ended up winning 34-17 but man it wasn't worth it. Congratulations to the Cincinnati Bengals for making it to the Super Bowl earlier this year (2022). It was their first Super Bowl appearance since 1989, 33 years between appearances. I rooted for the Bengals to beat the Los Angeles Rams because the Bengals had four players who played high school football in my hometown area (Piedmont Triad, North Carolina) and I like to see underdogs win. Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt was born in the same city I was (High Point, NC) and he went to my high school (High Point Central). The Bengals drafted him in the third round (72nd overall pick) of the 2019 NFL draft. The Bengals were four-point underdogs in Super Bowl LVI. The spread was close because the final score was Rams 23, Bengals 20. As someone who was pulling for the Bengals, it was painful to watch Cincinnati give up their 20-16 lead late in the fourth quarter. On the bright side, it looks like the Bengals made a great decision when they drafted Joe Burrow with the first overall pick in 2020. Burrow and Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence are two College Football Playoff National Championship winning quarterbacks that I have my eye on. Both proved themselves as clutch, winning QBs at the highest level in college. It'll be interesting to see how their pro careers play out. In February 2022, Joe Burrow was on the verge of joining two other Joes, Joe Namath and Joe Montana, as the only players to win both a college national championship and an NFL Super Bowl championship. Burrow is only 25 years old, so he still has plenty of time to accomplish the feat. In terms of all-time win-loss records, the Bengals rank towards the bottom of the league. If you look at postseason performance only, the Bengals are dead last among the NFL's current 32 teams with an 8-15 (.348) playoff record. Since the team's first season in 1968, the Bengals have won the AFC championship only three times: 1982, 1989, and 2022 (for the 1981, 1988, and 2021 seasons, respectively). Before current coach Zac Taylor's standout season in 2021-22, the previous head coach and 2009 NFL Coach of the Year, Marvin Lewis, led the Bengals to seven playoff appearances in an 11-year stretch (2005-2015 seasons). However, Lewis was never able to win in the playoffs. That and three consecutive losing seasons from 2016 to 2018 are what ultimately led to his departure from Cincinnati. BE CAREFUL SELLING YOUR TICKETS ON TICKETMASTER! I'm writing to express my frustration and concern about how I was treated by my Season Ticket Executive, Evan Dickies. My mother passed, being the eldest child and executor of my parents estate, I was tasked with going to the east coast to tend to, empty and sell their house. This meant that I spent most of my time away from Ohio and thus unable to attend many games other than the preseason games. I made Evan aware of this in August and asked if I could sell my tickets, he suggested TicketMaster. I had hoped to go to games but with the flying back and forth, Covid and other issues, I just didn't have the energy to go to many games. So, you can understand my surprise when I didn't get an invoice for next year. When I called Evan on Friday, he said they wouldn't be sending me an invoice because I didn't go to 'any games' (which is patently false) and that the Bengals didn't deal with 'ticket brokers' (which I am not!). In addition, he told me that if I had used the tickets for work (which was my initial intent for some of the tickets), I would have given them away to my customers. Obviously Evan has never been involved in real sales since the whole idea behind sales is to 'build relationships and rapport' with your clients because as we all know, people buy from people they like. While I think the Bengals have the right to take away my seats, it's not OK that Evan accuses me of things that aren't true. I did go to games, I am not a broker and I know sales having been in sales for over 35 years! This is especially annoying because I had consulted with him prior to the season and told him my intent and took HIS suggestions. Finally, the other aspect of this situation that was/is annoying is that Evan never had the decency to call me to ask why I didn't use all of my season tickets or to tell me the Bengals were not going to allow me to renew my tickets. I had to reach out to HIM. This is not the way you treat customers or fans. What if I had been in the military and deployed overseas? It's insulting and really belittling. I'm not sure if this treatment is the Bengals modus operandi, I hope not, or if this is just the way Evan operates. If this is the way the Bengals treat fans/customers, you need to change the way the season ticket team operates. If this is an Evan issue, he needs to be trained on how to treat your fans. I got to be honest. For all the playoff games I've been to. The Raiders vs Bengals game was severely disappointing! My 8 person party enjoyed the game but the fan experience has to be one of the worst. I was embarrassed hosting my friends from out of town. Pom poms?! Really? Are you that cheap to give your fans a memento to remember the first playoff win in 31 years? Every playoff game I've been to has at least given a towel with the date, opponent, and playoff round. No program either. I've always been disappointed in your venues food and always eat before I go. This time I got there at gate opening and the food was already cold! Ridiculous! I know the outside festivities are not your responsibility but put some food trucks on the roads that are closed. I get sick of radio commercials in this city, seriously. You know, those Cincinnati Jingles? But I guess they're better than the potato chips you guys make. Cincinnati Pringles. Which remind me of me as a teenager. Once you pop you just can't stop. First-Hand Experience: I've seen the Bengals play live in person only once, and that was a home game against the Browns which they won, 3-4 years back. It's an intense place to watch a game and these fans are great, as are their tiger colours. I love this team, although I'm not in love with them and I do think they could do a lot more to be competitive. I'm looking forward to the second time I see them play. It won't be long. Now that I've seen every NFL team play live & been to every NFL stadium (current and former), time to review them on Yelp! I love stadiums! I've been to every cool stadium in the UK & North America, due to my obsession with travel & sport. I've toured America as a musician for 7 years. Overall, the franchise in southwestern Ohio has been average. Zero Superbowls wins to show automatically doesn't go above three stars on my reviews. Over the years, ownership has made highly questionable moves. Never had a string of pure dominant seasons year after year! No higher than number 2 in their division today or historically. For no real good reason at all, I really like Cincinnati as a sports town. I've never been there, I don't know anyone there, and I have no good reason to cheer for the Reds or the Bengals, but given that they're not playing against my home teams, I find myself rooting for them. And while I'm not as big of a big baseball fan to watch the Reds much, I do enjoy watching the Bengals play. In fact, one of the many things to do on my life's to-do list is to watch a Bengals game at the Paul Brown Stadium while drinking Hudepohl beer. What I love the most about the Bengals is its history and its pride despite always being the underdogs. I like that the team was created by Paul Brown (who is never given enough credit for all that he did for the sport) as a stab against the Cleveland Browns that had fired him. I like that the team's orange is the same shade as the Browns for that reason, tainting Ohio in that rusty shade of a heated rivalry. I also like that the Bengals have always been the underdogs against the Steelers in one of the most lopsided football rivalries ever. Maybe it's because the Bengals, despite having a very solid team, kept getting knocked out of the playoffs during the 1970s by the Steelers, much like my beloved Raiders, that I feel for them (even though I wasn't born to know the pain of the Immaculate Reception years). And who can forget the Ickey Shuffle, even if one wanted to? And though they're never credited too much, Paul Brown and the Bengals did much for the formation of the West Coast offense. I also really like their current team right now. Wait, let me rephrase that. I really like their offense right now. Carson Palmer is a great QB and was a wonder during his USC years. And despite all his antics, Ocho Cinco is a damn good receiver. Besides, I look forward to all his inane touchdown celebrations. And I love Whosyomama. Not only because his name is hilarious (and spelled with font 2 points smaller than everyone else's on his jersey), but because he used to play for the community college in the city I grew up in. This review is just for training camp, my buddy and I came down to training camp last week. Camp started at 3 and we arrived around 2:45 and they still had lots of passes to give out and we were thanked by the staff at the front for coming down. The portable bleachers were a nice touch as soon after the practice started they filled up and fans that wanted to be in the front had to sit on the field turf. The Bengals were selling waters and soft drinks for $4, which is a bit high, but they also allowed fans to bring in drinks and there was a vendor across the street selling bottled water for a dollar. After camp the players signed autographs and it seemed the kids really loved it. read more

As I said in my review of the Reds, people say Cincinnati is a "baseball town," but in reality it seems to have turned into more of a Bengals town. When Marvin Lewis took over in 2003, he brought winning--or at least less losing--to the Bengals organization. He led the team to consecutive 8-8 seasons, followed by an AFC North title and playoff appearance in 2005 that was quickly spoiled by the Pittsburgh Steelers by way of a cheap shot hit on Carson Palmer's knee. The last two years Cincinnati has gone a combined 15-17, which for the "new" Bengals is a lot of losing and not enough winning. Sure Lewis turned this team around, but this upcoming season is crucial as the Bengals must make it to the playoffs or they could see the organization fall apart again. The Chad Johnson/Ocho Cinco circus has been a big distraction this off season, but even if you hate him now, there's no denying he can still play. I expect him to have a career year (if his ankle is healed) and I don't think his antics (off the field especially) will get in the way of the Bengals this year. I think the offense will be solid again and better than last year, and with a few upgrades on defense (and pending the signing of first round draft pick Keith Rivers), the team should be fine. Unfortunately they have a tough schedule and are in the same division as the ever dangerous Pittsburgh Steelers, an emerging Cleveland Browns team, and the almost always tough Baltimore Ravens. There are no cupcakes like the Dolphins in the AFC North. This season should be interesting, and as I said earlier it could be very important in terms of which direction this franchise heads. The Bengals have moved backwards the last year or two, and if they struggle this year I expect more players to want out and the Chad Johnson show to heat up again. The Bengals have the offensive tools to succeed, but the defense needs to hold its own a bit more this year, and they just need to play as a team. Every team is 0-0 right now, but it's important that they get off to a hot start this year with the following September games to open the season: at Baltimore, Tennessee, at New York Giants, Cleveland. read more

As far as professional NFL teams are concerned, the Bengals provide an affordable game day experience. Tickets start at $40 per game and can sometimes be obtained for cheaper price points on the secondary websites. Additionally, for individuals looking for season tickets, the Bengals waive any PSL/COA fees and will likely continue to do so for the foreseeable future. This is rare, especially for those of you who come from bigger cities. As a small market team, you can usually get tickets to see the team play and are not forced to watch them from a mega stadium. A friend of mine who passed away when I was in college was a Cincinnati native and die-hard Bengals fan. Being a Redskin fan myself I never really paid the Bengals much attention. As I understand it, neither did the rest of the country. However, in memory and honor of my friend, I found myself rooting for the Bengals when I wasn't cheering on my beloved 'Skins. That all changed when I moved to Cincinnati and heard two words for the first time. "WHO DEY!" Without doubt, this is the DUMBEST team motto, or slogan, or cheer, or whatever else you want to call it, in professional sports today. Here's why. Number 1 - It's ripped off from the Saints. New Orleans has been using the "Who Dat" slogan for decades. And that makes sense, since the phrase "Who Dat" is commonly used in that region during every day conversation. Who in the Cincinnati tri-state area uses "Who Dey" in regular, every day conversation? Nobody! Absolutely nobody!!! Number 2 - Who Dey just sounds ignorant, and as such, the entire city of Cincinnati and all who live there come across as being ignorant. Other reasons why the Bengals are awful. Horrible owner. Horrible head coach (any other coach at any other team with the same mediocre record as Lewis would have been fired long ago). Horrible behavior from the players who seem to make getting arrested an art form. And not to mention insanely priced tickets, concessions, and everything else that goes along with this team. One thing the Bengals did right for the football team is build a pretty nice stadium. Yes, they suck, and I really enjoy going to watch the Steelers (yes, I am a Steelers fan) come to town and kick their butts. What is really nice is that there are so many Steelers fans, you wonder if you are in Cincinnati or Pittsburgh. I went to the bathroom once only to hear the place go crazy... when I came out, it was the Steelers that scored!!! The food and drinks are outrageous, but what ball park isn't?? The parking isn't that bad, and getting to and from your set is pretty easy as well. Who-day? Not me! But it is a nice stadium. read more

Ok, I feel like I've yet to read a sincere review of our hometown Cincinnati Bengals. Is everyone on here going to the same games I am? My father and I have been season ticket holders since 98' when I was just a wee little laddie so let's get that out of the way right now. Each season our seats get progressively closer and closer to the field and this coming season we are two rows up from the end zone. I will start with saying that the venue is well kept, tailgating is a blast, and watching the drunken idiots fight in section 152 is hilarious... ok that's about all I truly enjoy. Alcohol at a game... CRAZY expensive... $7.50 for a 12 oz. I think? Yea I know it's football game bla bla I'm over the price of the beer, but with a team and front management staff like the Bengals, you can't help but drink yourself into a stooper. This brings me to my biggest grievance... management. "Well could you do it better?" No, I probably couldn't, but if I was making that much money in the front office I'd sure find a way to make things better. When we scout the free agent list it consists of going downtown to the Cincy Police Department and scrolling through mugshots... enough with giving these so called professional athletes a second chance, I know that tons of respectable college athletes who would humbly take their spot. Let's hope for a better 2012 season with some young rookies, and if you disagree with my review, come on down to section 152... I'll be you a $7.50 beer and we can talk about it. people and fans very nice. maybe i am just spoiled from soldier field and lucas oil. but lack of bathrooms was ridiculous about 100 ppl in each bathroom line mens and womens. concessions were worst offerings and concessions i have seen at a stadium. the poor people working the stands had to bring their own heater to keep warm on the built in regular cocktail beverage stand, seriously put some overhead heaters in for these people. concession food was marginal if not just bad. city and bengals fans made it enjoyable for a visiting bears fan. but i would hate to see this place full and the lines on a game that did not have 20,000 or more no shows. read more
