Very, very slow service. Not enough tellers for a branch location in a busy area. Best pack a lunch if you plan to do business here.

When the manager finally became available, he completely ignored me and immediately went to assist a customer who had entered after me. Only after both the other customer and I pointed out that I had been waiting first did he agree to help me--and he did so with clear reluctance and an unprofessional, dismissive attitude.

Citibank is legitimately terrible these days. We opened our business account with them in 2011,…read moreand I've been regretting banking with them since roughly 2015. Their customer service people are either so poorly trained they cannot do the work, or they are malicious liars. In addition, trying to get customer service on the line is a horrorshow of idiotic phone maze, specifically designed to discourage account holders from using it. And that is BEFORE the heavily accented customer representative comes on the line, with phone equipment so pathetically poor that the noise in their call center is louder than the heavily accented voice of the customer service rep. In about 2015, Citibank closed our branch, and then they seem to have fired all the competent customer service people, in favor of offshore call centers. I am trying to close the account, and I've spent the last two weeks receiving conflicting lies or misunderstandings of how bloody long it's going to take to get my data. I despise Citibank and look forward to closing our business account. And we are also on the verge of closing my husband's personal account, and his credit card, too. This is how pathetically inept Citibank is: several times we've tried to order checks through their website. Nope. We have had to go to the producer of the checks and order through them to have a prayer of getting new checks. I would not have trusted them with $2 bucks, much less our business account, if we'd only known how disastrously incompetent they really are. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM IF YOU WISH TO REMAIN SANE. I would give them zero stars if that were possible.

We waited, and waited, and waited...in over an hour no one ever came to assist us. The female banker expressed a sour attitude and scowled walking to and from her office to a room adjacent to the tellers several times, as she was attempting to help a set of male customers. She never finished with them while we waited. The male banker in the adjacent office was working with a group of 3 female customers, one of whom loudly offered that they had already been there for 2 hours. It appeared that he didn't know what he was doing...one of the tellers even came to assist him at one point. He never finished with this group while we were there. We couldn't wait longer than the hour+ that we already wasted. When I asked when the Bank Manager would be there, I was informed that they never knew when she'd be there, as she had 2 branches...boy has this place gone down hill! Pick a different bank!

When I inquired why, the response was "it has always been this way", although I have been depositing this way for 15 years. Rather than tell the truth, that their Bank policy had changed, or they did a software update, they gave no adequate response. *Worst customer service ever* When I asked to talk to the manager or assistant manager, of course they were unavailable, and the teller was unable to tell me when they would be in the branch. They do not even deserve a 1 rating/it should be lower. As of today, I am closing my accounts, and moving my money to Truist. At least they have managers available to solve issues.

Apparently I wasn't notified of my $39 membership fee in January and was then assessed a $25 past due fee plus interest. In February I was assessed $45 fee plus interest for non-payment. When I was sent a notice from Credit Karma that my credit score dropped 40 points, after having a perfect payment record for the last 10 years, I called Capital One. The young lady got the fee and interest removed for February, however they would not change my credit report nor remove the Jan charge. We are talking about $39 membership fee, for a card I don't use and have had for years. Why don't I use it, because the interest rate 28%. Capital One has no one to speak to except the one person I spoke to on the phone and no Sr manager to speak to. This is pathetic customer service. I have two bank accounts, another card with them and this is how they treat their customers. Oh and if you want to complain to their credit dispute department, you have to send all your personal identity information by US Mail for them to even review it. If you aren't getting the message about how much Capital One sucks, I hope you do now. Closing accounts just makes your credit score worse....

The last time I walked in, I was immediately greeted and was let known that someone was going to help me immediately. The concierge said that he remembered me... which might be true... although I go in to the bank very very rarely. He started conversation he was just so nice. I ended up telling him what I needed ( a replacement check card). While his other associate was busy with a customer, he got the checkcard ready and sat me down to wait. He expedited the process for the associate one I got to him. Just a really kind man. The associate helped me quickly and efficiently. Which was good, cause I had a party to be at and I had no idea that my checkcard was cancelled due to suspicious activity. Overall the customer service at this branch is 5 shooting stars. They obviously care alot about their customers, and it shows in everything they do.
