I had a few nurses that deserve some shout outs. 1. Margie…read more- She was the first nurse who I had the privilege of meeting. She is literally an angel in my mind. I had a VERY large abdominal wound that needed to be on a wound vac. I was just released from the hospital after 3 weeks, trying to get back to life. I was medicated pretty hard and depressed. She came in, made me comfortable, and explained the process of how home health worked. She let me cry, swear, and shower. A hot shower after 3 weeks was amazing. She even waited and helped me out of the shower once I was done. She made me feel so much better and told me that everything was going to be okay. Something that you need to hear after 3 weeks of uncertainty. 2. Valerie - Another angel nurse. She was so gentle and patient with me, making me laugh, even though it hurt. It was still welcome. 3. Troy - This man is my hero. He was very matter of fact, took my issues into account, and worked with me and my doctor to get me healed up. He was super personable and has great bedside manner.
