We knew our sweet girl Madeline was not well. She had a couple of strokes and our vet said it "probably was time". We had to take her to the the emergency vet who was outstandingly nice. The whole situation was still heart wrenching. We got Madeline's ashes back five days later and the small touches made the process easier. With our other dog, Olive, who was cremated, we were simply given a box of ashes from the funeral home and we cried all the way home. It sucked! With Madeline and Partridge Enterprises they included a card with her paw print and her ashes were already in an urn. Not a cheesy urn either, a really funky cooper urn with paw prints on the exterior. Very Madeline :) There was a sweet poem and a note. Sure, we cried all the way the home, but this time I wasn't worrying about what I was going to do with a cardboard box of ashes. We talked about Madeline and how happy she was when the front door opened and her tail would start thumping uncontrollably (that and her love of carrots!). My beloved husky Cody passed away at age 13 in March of this year. It was sudden and I was so lost and upset. My terrific veterinarian works with Partridge Enterprises, and recommended them. I own a pet based business in the same building as my vet, and I was at work when I saw the truck stop by to pick up my Cody. The man driving (I can't remember his name, I was too upset) was SO nice to me as I told him he was there to pick up my baby. He talked to me about him, he looked at his picture, and he brought him out and let me see him one more time before he was taken to be cremated. He also gave me a hug and told me how sorry he was for my loss. Those may not seem like big deals, but to me they were. When I received Cody's ashes, they were in a beautiful urn, with a paw print and a card with the Rainbow Bridge poem on it. I was very pleased, as much as one could be with such a loss. A few weeks later, I saw the same man back at my vet's office to pick up someone else's pet. I went out to say thank you again, since I was in a better state of mind then. He not only remembered me AND my dog, but asked me if I got the paw print, and talked to me for a bit. I felt so much better that my baby had been taken care of by people that truly cared. My Chihuahua baby Minnie passed away on May 17, 2019. I was told by Ann Arbor animal hospital that Partridge Enterprises would get a note that after cremating my precious dog she would be delivered by mail through fed ex or ups to our home on May 24, 2019. Her ashes were not delivered and it's now May 25, 2019. It's very upsetting not knowing where my babies ashes are. And they are closed until Tuesday the 28th. So I get to go out of my mind not knowing where her remains are at. I suggest that no one ever trusts them when you get promised they will deliver on ashes when you expect them to. I'm not usually one to go out of my way to leave reviews, but Partridge deserves all of the positive praise. My family dog that I grew up with for the last 14 years passed away 3 days ago. I was on the fence about private cremation, but after looking through various pamphlets at my vet's office, I chose to go with Partridge, and I'm so glad I did. Not only were they beyond helpful, but they were very empathetic and worked to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. A pet crematorium/cemetary isn't a business that anyone wants to have to visit. However, when my beloved cat, Chang passed away suddenly last week, I was forced to. The vet offered me three options: 1.) Private Cremation - $200 (pet cremated alone, and you get remains) 2.) Group Cremation - $50 (pet cremated with other recently deceased pets, no remains back) 3.) Take the body - free After facing the shock of losing my cat, I chose to take the body. I didn't have $200 and I wasn't about to do a group cremation. What is this, Nazi Germany? I don't think so. This cat was in my life for 12 years, no way was that an option. My boyfriend called around, and found Partridge. They offered private cremation for $140. The price included the choice of three different urns. We made 52 mile trek to Partridge, trying to make it before they closed. The woman working was very nice, and even stayed late for us. Even though they were already closed, she offered me a "moment" with the body to say goodbye. I really appreciated her kindness in my time of need, and I highly recommend this place. They even shipped the remains back to my hometown vet for free. Hopefully you won't need these services, but if you do it is run by very caring people who understand how much pets can mean to people. read more

My beloved horse Owen passed away suddenly at 23 years on February 6, 2014. I had owned him for 11 years, he was my baby and just the most amazing gelding that anyone could have ever asked for. I was so distraught at this, as it was so sudden and unexpected. I could hardly talk to the nice lady on the phone, I could not even remember what I had agreed too. After I had time to think and process the lady was so kind she went over everything about the process and my private cremation for my sweet Owen. They even stayed late at work that night to come and pick up my horse for me. They were so careful and compassionate about my situation and reverent in moving the body of a 1400 pound horse. They brought a very nice well equipped vehicle for the task. When his remains were ready I was called and they worked around my busy schedule as a nurse to deliver his remains to my home, and make sure things continued to not be a worry for me. They brought him home and the young gentleman even delivered them into the place waiting in my house, because it was too heavy for me to carry. The gentleman was so kind, told me how sorry he was for my loss and had asked to hear stories about Owen. He was not in any rush and took time to hear me reminisce. He also talked to me and told me what a hard winter this had been on the horse population and how so many had passed away this year. Their prices were very fair, I was afraid it was going to be much more expensive that what I was told so I was very pleased with the price also. I, just like the rest of the reviews have a similar story. I first went to Advanced Animal Emergency for the first time to put my baby girl (kitty called Stinky) that had Cancer down. I was totally unaware of how great Partridge was until I received her ashes back days later. Mind you it made me cry even harder when I had another cat die at my regular vet when the cremation service they had put him in a egg carton type box and gave me a receipt and that was it. Oh I was livid and it felt so cold. My animals are my kids and Partridge made me feel like I had the most special pet. The poem that made me cry like crazy. Riley, my sweet baby boy that was a beautiful golden retriever passed away in October and it was extremely difficult as any pet owner can imagine. I called Partridge the next day and they were incredibly nice and SO sympathetic. All of the office staff was very kind but Terry was extremely helpful. I added the clay paw print and nose print, I'm very pleased with how they turned out and they make me feel like I have a piece of him again. I would give this business zero stars if I could. After my beloved guinea pig Ellie died unexpectedly we brought her to our vet who uses this company for cremations. We ordered ink paw prints for an additional $10 charge which I gladly paid on top of the $110 charge for the cremation. We found out two days later that they did not look at our order form and that Ellie had been cremated without paw prints being taken. I was even more heartbroken and devastated than before which I did not think was possible. I would have imagined a company that deals with such an already delicate matter would take more care to ensure that they have completed the order (aka taken paw prints) before the irreversible process of cremation. I would have taken them myself otherwise. read more
