These yo-yo's, let me tell you something about them; don't trust them with any serious legal matters. Especially in matters of family law. A family member paid them a retainer, Dominic assigned Anthony to the case and Anthony didn't even bother to show up to the hearing. Didn't bother to register himself as the attorney of record until afterwards. This family member had no idea what was happening with his case until he was notified from the court that he had a default judgement against him. No apology, no substantive communication beforehand, no email, can't remember details of the case. Throughout this ordeal they just tried to placate him. With weeks to go before the case was to close, the Chairman had to personally intervene and authorize their resignation. Thankfully, Comrade Zhou had a certified family law specialist in his rolodex of contacts. T&A returned the retainer in full, but the damage was already done. read more

He is the worse! As soon as he got paid (twice) he doesn't communicate at all with you. My family had so much faith in Dominic but he failed us terribly. We paid him and he did not show up to court for us once! After a long agonizing 5 months he still did not show up to last court hearing(as promised the day before) He wouldn't meet with us(constantly calling off meetings) and twice pushed my court dates back bc he was supposedly sick. We did not get one thing we wanted from trying to evict tenants on our property he actually gave them an extra 2 months of free rent (put into agreement without discussing this with me) (illegal immigrants) at that. He sent someone from his law firm that didn't have any answers for us but brought paperwork to basically make us settle that day. We felt forced bc his lack of communication. It almost felt as if he was working for the other party. He's a very dishonest person I would never recommend him to anyone!!! His employees are unknowlegeable of any questions asked. What is great about being a consumer is you have choices when it comes to choosing legal representation. As a consumer you should be treated with respect especially when someone is trying to earn your business , unfortunately this place did no show any respect for my time. I made an appointment to discuss a legal matter, I showed up to the office and the attorney was not in the office so the secretary rescheduled me for a later time . I came back at the rescheduled time and once again the attorney was a not at his office. I will be telling everyone I know to stay away from this law office and look elsewhere for legal representation Update-- response to this attorney- when you look for a lawyer to represent you and get legal advise for a serious case the last thing you worry about is the cost . As a business owner, when you make an appointment with a potential client you should always make sure you can hold it or call in advance to ask the customer if they would be available to reschedule at a later time , not let the customer show up to the office and then tell them if they can reschedule there appointment. Word of advise if you can not keep your appointments don't make them. So since your office response to my yelp review was "IT WAS A FREE CONSULTATION" this does not make it ok to not keep your appointments, even if you are as busy as you say you are, there is no excuse for not keeping your appointments with me two times . I have had several excellent experiences with Dominic at Trutanich & Associates for over 10 years. I purchased an apartment building in 2003 in San Pedro and within the first few months, I was faced with having to evict two non-paying tenants, and potentially I had to pay a relocation fee to a third tenant. I am a landlord in Los Angeles and had the opportunity to encounter the lawyers from Trutanich and Associates as they represented a deadbeat tenant who had not paid rent for 4+ months at a rental property in Los Angeles. On two occasions, the lawyers from this company notified me of an ex parte hearing where I had to arrange my calendar in a 24 hour period to attend a court appearance only to have them cancel at the last possible moment.
