Spoke directly on the phone with an employee named Joe this morning-I was quite polite and merely wanted to acquire the status of my application. Upon finding out it was still processing, I inquired why it was taking so long because I had applied with a group of people, whom all got approved within 3 days-some of which have criminal records-I do not-again I was not yelling and just asking questions about the process-he hung up on me. I just want to say that this is why customer service has such a bad reputation-I compel you to review the call and tell me why when I'm trying to gain information I am hung up on by your employee. read more

Great customer service!! Walked in for my TSA precheck application on a Saturday morning. There was literally no one waiting and I was in & out within 3 minutes. *Parking = huge lot with 30 minute visitor parking available (pretty sure this isn't regulated on the weekends) *Building = clearly marked, follow the pathway and double doors will be on your right hand side (call the 408 number listed on the TSA pre-check sign to be allowed in for entry) The gentleman that opened the building door for me was friendly and even laughed when I asked if there was a wait. I signed in and a lady came out immediately to help me. We went in a private room, she verified my information, took my fingerprints & I paid the $85 fee. She was super friendly & explained the process and wait-time to hear back for the TSA pre-check. Thanks for the great customer service! read more

Wow what an efficient Government operation! We went online and scheduled an appointment which is super easy. Just Google TSA-PreCheck. The instructions are clear and simple. You choose the date and time and you immediately receive a confirmation via email. They are located in rented space but there is a clearly marked sign on the door. It says to call the number that is listed which we did and someone immediately came to bring. Is into the office. 5 minutes later we were done and on our way home. I brought my wife back and they took her as a walk in . We had to wait a whole 5 minutes , lol It costs $85 for a 5 year period. Well worth it if you travel much. This rating is not for this location but for the process in general. Make sure to pre-enroll on line before going to any center. Appointments were all taken on-line so walk-in was the other option. There are temporary locations that "pop-up" for only a week. Search for the location centers on-line. Came to this location during midweek at 1 p.m., hoping to do a walk-in. Upon arrival, was told that there was only one agent on site and that they were not taking walk-ins. Had called the prior day on their toll-free number & was told that walk-ins are accepted. Unfortunately, there was no way to check any specific location as to what the situation is like regarding walk-ins. The front desk person said courtesy walk-ins were from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. (bummer- how could we have known that? Did not want to hassle with the morning commute). There was also a location at the airport [1701 Airport Blvd) that offered the TSA precheck. It was a RV Pop-up location at Terminal B behind Lot 5. It was in trailer. It was not that easy to find the place since there were airport traffic; had to ask one of the airport staff personnel for guidance. Found the trailer right after the "Baggage Claim" area & walked in & there were two other people waiting who had appointments. There was only one agent but he was accepting walk-ins. The wait was not long at all, less than ten minutes. Once I was called in, it took no more than five minutes to verify my ID, take my fingerprints, photo and money. The only issue is that you have to go find a place for parking. Since I came w/ someone, one person "waited at the cell phone waiting area" while the other person in the TSA center. Very fast, efficient and easy process. Should have done this years ago. My credit card has the benefit of reimbursing the amount for TSA precheck. read more

Here is a BIG tip when you go into get this process done, MAKE sure they correctly get your fingerprints.. My Copart had to make 2 passes and was told she wasn't pressing hard enough on the scanner, so after the 2nd time she thought they had proper finger prints since no one said otherwise, we would have kept trying to get proper fingerprints scanned in... INSTEAD 3 weeks later the online status shows in progress, so we call only to find out her finger prints didn't properly scan in and now the background check can take 6 to 8 weeks... I also suggest if the 1st round doesn't scan right if your not pressing hard enough have them clean the screen, which I think they should be doing anyways to clear / clean the screen. read more

While the center is efficient, the product has no value to me so far at San Jose Airport. Second time in two months that I've been through and TSA pre-check was "closed" both times. The first time the line was LONGER and slower than the regular lines. The second time, we pushed to get through but still had to strip down and unpack. On top of that, TSA says no refund even though they promised a service they don't deliver on. Don't waste your time buying this if San Jose is your primary airport and you travel when they are busy. Ironically, they close pre-ch class when busy. Just when a customer of this service would want to use it. read more

Run out of an Atlas Security office, it is quick and painless. Bring your credit card or debit card, passport, be ready to be fingerprinted with a cool electronic device, and you will be out the door in five minutes. There is a huge free parking lot right next to the building. read more

As with most things, if you plan ahead regarding what is needed things go smoothly. I filled out the online form, then checked to see what documents would be needed. Bring them and you'll be in and out in no time. By the end of the week I got an email letting me know I was good to go and giving my known passenger number. Easy peasy! read more

Atlas Security administers TSA pre check at this location. Easy to get an appointment. Arrived a few minutes early and did not have to wait. Everyone in the office very professional, friendly and efficient. I was there only five days ago and I already have my Known Traveler number. It doesn't get any better than this!
