I stumbled upon this in one of the many times I passed by SM Makati (I happened to visit a store on the same floor), and I was excited. Since I had some free time, I just had to try it!
The name of the place has Tsoko.Nut, so does that mean they use Chocnut or something like it? The "batirol" also got my attention, as this is used in preparing hot chocolate the traditional way, and is not usually used in coffee shops.
I ordered their Tsokolate Ah, and it was awesome! It was rich chocolate (tastes like tablea) with a nutty taste (yep, reminds me of Chocnut a bit). Next time, when I ate with a friend, we tried the napoleones and the tablea cake - all good. Since we are chocolate lovers, we didn't much mind that our cake and our drinks are both chocolate. Another time, we tried the ensaymada with quezo de bola, which to me is the perfect match for the hot chocolate. In fact, there's a Tsokolate Ah and ensaymada combo for less than P150.
While this branch is in SM, it's quiet as it's in a corner and in a not-so-frequented area. So this is a nice place to hang out and perhaps read a book as you sip your Tsokolate Ah (They also have coffee drinks like Kape Barako and Tsoko.Nut Latte.). read more
