My husband read the form as he been a lawyer for over 40 years. Turns out the form was a contract giving the company the ok to install a new roof! The guy didnt even go up - because he couldn't present the proper form and said he would have a drone look at the roof. This representative was not knowledgeable nor prepared. For years, we trusted and recommended Feazel. That trust has now been broken. You never truly know how reliable a company is until you need them to stand behind their work--and unfortunately, Feazel did not. After a recent storm brought high winds and heavy rain, we discovered water dripping from our bathroom ceiling fan and a soaked floor. Given our age and health, we couldn't safely inspect the roof ourselves, so we called Feazel--the company that installed our roof in 2009. With a 30-year warranty, we assumed we were protected. Instead of honoring that warranty, their representative blamed us. They claimed our attic fan had failed, supposedly causing poor ventilation and roof damage. But how were we supposed to know the fan had stopped working? And how did they determine it had been nonfunctional for a long time? We have perimeter ventilation, which we were told was sufficient. If attic ventilation was so critical, why wasn't it addressed during installation? They also pointed out a broken boot around a pipe that left a gaping hole--yet they didn't seal it, despite rain in the forecast. Another roofing company we called later sealed it immediately, even though they weren't responsible for the original work. We've since learned that Feazel Roofing has changed ownership. The new company promotes a "lifetime warranty" and installs solar attic fans to ensure proper ventilation--something clearly lacking in our original installation. Why wasn't this done back then? We had no issues in the 25 years before Feazel replaced our roof. Now, just 16 years later, we're dealing with serious problems. To make matters worse, we were shocked to discover that our paperwork only included a 5-year labor warranty. We trusted what we were told at the time--lesson learned: always read the fine print. If Feazel truly stands by their name, why not honor all customers under their "lifetime warranty"? Otherwise, they should have changed the company name entirely. The most frustrating part has been the lack of communication. Calls go unanswered, and we feel strung along. Even our son, who stepped in to help, is getting the runaround. Feazel told us to file a claim with the shingle manufacturer--why is that our responsibility? We're retired and on a fixed income. We invested in this roof expecting peace of mind. Instead, we're left with stress, damage, and a deep sense of betrayal. It feels like Feazel is more interested in avoiding responsibility than doing what's right. Please think twice before choosing Feazel Roofing. A warranty is only as good as the company willing to stand behind it.

Ace discovered that the prior roofer(2017) had failed to seal a gap between the shingles and the edge of the chimney. The roof that was replaced was two layers, and when it was replaced with one layer, that left an inch or so gap between the shingles and and chimney, which they failed to seal and also failed to install proper flashing so that water would drain away from the chimney. Ace repaired the issue and their price was very reasonable. Recently, I noticed paint cracking and dampness in a ceiling. I called the company that installed the roof-as it is nearing the end of the warranty. They sent someone who said he saw nothing wrong, and claimed they might need better ventilation. He said someone would call. No one did. I called Ace, he went up and saw the source of the problem, a bullet hole-likely there from someone's errant New Year's celebration. He fixed the issue within 15 minutes. Ace is responsive, and most important, he acts with integrity and his assessments are credible. Irrespective of 'warranties,' I trust him and will always call him first.

Unfortunately, I was told the job was complete...when I came home to what I thought was a brand new, CLEAN subway tiled shower...I was mistaken. Noor told me it was complete yet the dark grey penny tile floor was covered in stains of white gook and the white subway tile wasn't clear of the gray grout they used. It is now day 4 of me trying to get his worker to come out and clean up their mess. Noor has NOT been to my house and review his shoddy workmanship. NEVER again. I had used his team on smaller projects and was somewhat pleased but this is definitely not a company I will work with ever again. Before the job started he asked me to review his work. I am certain he won't be happy that I have. Good luck to anyone who uses his rag tag team of random workers who he believes could show up whenever they wanted to in order to get the job done. But is the company reputable? And do you really want to go with a relatively new company even if is owned by your buddy. He decided, no. Newman is competitive with hundreds of 5 star reviews. He went with Newman. Subsequently we had a hail storm and neighbors were advising us to get our roof checked out. Our roof was 20 years old. I wanted to be honest with the insurance company and not submit a claim unless Tyler from Newman,who came out to give us an estimate, was sure we needed a new roof and we suffered damage beyond normal wear and tear. Plus we had 2 houses. Well one needed a new roof and the other one likely has another couple of years left. As an aside, if you turn in a claim to your insurance company, even if it is denied, you risk higher premiums or cancelation. That is why it is important to have Newman Roofing spend time assessing. In our case, our roof was more wear and tear with minimal hail. Dan and his guys were on time, even early. Weather has consistently been in the mid 90's. I was worried. But Newman keeps them well supplied with hydration. 14 man crew meant lots of vehicles, even a dump truck but they were minimally disruptive to our neighbors. Furniture moved, netting put up to minimize construction mess on house and garden areas. And then they went to work. All I can say is WOW. I am so pleased. When they were finished, the cleaned up all the mess, including using a magnetized thing for nails in driveway, patio and grass. The yard, the patio, the driveway, the porches are SPOTLESS. I highly highly highly recommend Newman Roofing. They did my kid's. They did this roof and in 2 years they will do our other roof. Price is good too.
