I used to go to Petco for grooming not because I liked them - I just don't have a good habit of making appointments weeks (sometimes months) ahead. This weekend, after trying several private businesses and no luck (some places are full until April; I mean... are you really that short of staff?) I was going to bring my dog to Petco again, and then Tub Time called me back saying they had availabilities, so I canceled my appointment with Petco right away. The result was INCREDIBLE! You can tell Tub Time carefully cleaned every inch of my dog; the nail trim was fantastic, the fur is amazingly fluffy, and Martini smells like a newborn pup! As a sled dog owner, shedding season leaves both me and my dog exhausted, I was grateful that the owner and her daughter took good care of my pup, recognized his pet peeves and provided solid wash and grooming services. I was reading the reviews on Yelp before booking an appointment. I noticed all the 1 star reviews are 5+ years ago. I took a chance and from the start, the groomer was so so so polite. Booking the appointment was so simple and easy. Once i got there she explained, thoroughly, the process she is going to take with my dog. This was my dog (indigo)s first time but when i left i knew she was in wonderful hands. I needed a groomer to see my pup last minute. I called about 10 other places who were understandably booked weeks out. I was thrilled that Darcy would in fact be able to fit us in the day of. I have an 8 lb chihuahua who has a very calm temperament and spends most of his time indoors. I wanted a bath, nail trim, gland expression, ear cleaning specifically. Upon dropping him off, I was greeted and given paperwork to fill out. A couple of hours later, Darcy called to let me know she was finishing up with my boy. Initially, he looked well groomed but after getting home, I realized how poorly his nails were trimmed. They were jagged, some of the edges were split, almost as though they were done with very little attention or dull blades. We had an early flight out of state at 5 am the next morning so there was no time to get it fixed prior to our departure. I was very satisfied with the price and bedside manners. His nails, however, were absolutely atrocious. So much so that I would not consider returning. read more

Very rude employees, they turn people around refusing the service because our mid size puppy is ... too hyper. Didn't even offer to try. Although the same lady did groom him a few month ago without any problem at all. Why not say over the phone then that if dog is hyper they won't accept him, why allowing the client drive all the way to bring the dog to only turn them around. The lady is totally bipolar and unpredictable. They expect yr dog to sit still like a staffed animal? So we called another place and pre-adviced them that 10 mo old puppy is hyper but not aggressive at all, they said all dogs get excited and that's not a problem for them and we r welcome to bring his him in tomorrow. We were from out of town and she got us in very quickly she groomed and clips nails she did the works and we were very pleased with the job she did I would highly recommend Darcie she was very gentle with both animals. Wow!! I took my Yorkie in this morning and I was greeted by Darcy. She was so warm and inviting. We automatically clicked. She is such a nice person, I knew my Bailey would be well taken care of. She told me it would be a couple of hours before Bailey was ready and that was fine cuz I had a couple of errands to run. Needless to say, I was done and she called when he was ready. I arrived to pick him up and he looked soooo good!! I fell in love with him all over again! But not only did he look good, he smelled AWESOME!! I couldn't stop sniffing him!!! I was searching for a nearby groomer for my long-haired dachshund, Sherlock, and had noticed Tub Time a number of times driving on Chambers Road. I had previously taken him to a different groomer close to my house and although his grooming job was okay, I didn't like the conditions inside the building. After doing some research I decided to give Tub Time a try. I called on a Saturday morning to see if they had any same-day appointments available and just my luck the person on the phone asked if I could drop him off in the next 15 minutes (which was no problem since Tub Time is very close by). When I walked in I was very pleased by how clean and bright it was! You can even see into the back where the dogs are groomed and the conditions were MUCH better than the place I had take Sherlock previously. I asked for a bath with a fur trim, nail trim, and teeth cleaning. They even gave Sherlock his own toothbrush! I was told it would be about an hour and a half and would receive a call when he was ready to be picked up. I got a call only 45 minutes later and when I arrived he looked great! They even tied a piece of cloth around his neck in the shape of a bandanna - so cute! They said he did such a great job and was a good boy during the whole process. Clearly, the service there is great! The prices are also very competitive and I plan on taking Sherlock back the next time he needs a trim. read more

After many groomers, we finally found a keeper. We have two poodle mixes and a mini poodle. Two are pretty used to grooming and the third has separation anxiety and gets pretty nervous (she was abandoned in a lot as a puppy). My two old men have been groomed here twice and have not had issues going back and always get the hair cut we asked for. Not to mention they have never been there for more than 2 hours, which is awesome because they don't have to stay in the holding area all day, like they have at other groomers. My little nervous girl went for her first trip today. Darci was inquiring about her nervousness and I gave her some back ground about a past grooming experience. I told Darci about an appointment I had and she made it so I could pick up my pup before my appointment so she wouldn't have to hang out for too long... again not there for more than 2 hours. Darci talked with me when I picked up my little girl and assured me that although she was nervous not once did she misbehave. This is very good to hear! Thanks Darci for being so patient with my pup. To think I've been noticing the poor reviews on this place recenetly... I should have listened. I've been bringing my dogs here since last year and have always gotten them in early in the mornings. Today I was supposed to bring them in at 7:30, accidentally took the wrong turn which set me back to bring them in on time by a little bit. Which i wasnt too concerned with because i would have been late by a few minutes, and thats never been an issue. It's 7:32, I'm right down the road and can literally see the turn, and I get a call from them asking if I want to reschedule because they are very busy. I say no I'm like right there. She says, "No we are very busy and can't take you in." Really??? 2 minutes late and you're already so full that you can't take my dogs who have been a customer of yours for nearly a year? I am so disappointed and will not be returning here. read more

This place is awesome! I found them on Yelp back in May and she got me in the very next day! The next time I called she got me in the next day too! She does a great job and I appreciate her convenience! **Update. After rating this place 5 stars and going for over a year I feel the need to update this review. As I stated we went for over a year and convenient? Yes. However, the quality continued to decline each time. First it was extra chunks of hair totally missed, or not that cute of a cut. But this last time I took her she immediately told me upon getting there, "I assume we're going short because she's matted and I'll need to shave her?" She was no longer than she ever had been in the past and didn't have to be shaved but I reluctantly agreed and left. She called me at the end stating her ears were too matted and she would have to shave them and told me about a sore on her paw. I wasn't alarmed by this because she's had sores off and on on one other paw and upon viewing it when I picked her up it was clearly there before. What was alarming to me is when I got there to pick her up she then proceeds to tell me my dog had a bald spot on her face up by her ear and she didn't know what was going on but blamed it on the fact that I had a new baby and must be neglecting her so she's stressed. My dog DID NOT HAVE A BALD SPOT. It was clearly evident that she had slipped with the clippers and shaved her bald in one spot. Everyone who saw it said that was evident. And that "bald spot" grew back in a week. She made me sign a waiver for the "bald spot" and sore on her paw prior to leaving. I am an understanding person and could never groom dogs and know that accidents happen, but what you don't do is lie to me about it and it was more than evident she lied to me about what really happened. As a result of this she will never again receive my business and I am on the hunt for a new groomer. read more

This place is horrible!!! The groomer is a rude b^t*ch! We showed up 20 minutes late for our appointment, I explained to the receptionist I would be in between 8:30-9, she said my appointment was at 8 which it wasn't. Then refused to take her in after I brought her in to work for that purpose. I made this appointment almost 2 weeks ago! Word of advice: if you have a business where you rely on people don't be so nasty! Also, after this I refuse to let her touch my dog! Drink your coffee or do what you must but being this nasty will have you lose business. Also make sure your receptionist and you are on the same page. If the process takes 3hrs minimum and you have a kennel full of dogs to groom, is being 20 minutes late is not a huge deal, especially when I would not have minded picking her up later. read more

Originally I had called to make my dog an appointment & the lady I talked to was very sweet & was able to get my dog in, in 2 days. My husband took my old English sheep dog in & Darcy was absolutely rude saying they will not get out his mats & made my husband sign a release form. So I called to see why & she just said she wouldn't touch him & can come pick him back up. As my husband goes to pick our dog back up she continues to say " I'm not going to get out mats & hurt the dog, so why don't you go ahead & tell your wife that." I am never one to write bad reviews but that's why you take a dog to get groomed & pay for it is to help with that part as well! I had already posted another review of Tub Time and I was going to post another review about another business, when I noticed that the second review was not there concerning Tub Time.. Since reviews " cannot be removed or changed " I must not have posted the last one correctly.? So I need to post again. In my first review I gave Tub Time and the owner/groomer 5 stars, it was the best grooming experience that I had ever had for my buddy as a whole. Great appointment timing, good communication with the groomer, fair price and more. The second time did not happen. I was told, pretty impolitely that my dog was too temper mental to be groomed and the groomer would never groom him again. People have bad days I understand that, but to use terminology the first time like, he was a bit nervous, but was OK to groom overall, and then to be treated as I was after I had made the 2nd appointment, and to get there on time and told "no way" will I groom him again. The business is right, : NO WAY !" . Another reviewer seemed to have a similar experience. So my buddy has a new and much less temper-mental groomer. read more

Took my boys in today since they haven't been to a groomers since moving from Colorado Springs and they did amazing! Our boys are rescues that have been abused before so they get really shaky and she was able to handle them with care! I would HIGHLY recommend them and will be taking them here for now on. read more

I took my darling poodle-lhasa mix to get a trim. Telling the groomer I take him out in the snow for long hikes so I didn't want his fur cut too short and to keep the curl in it. She asked about his face and I said I wanted fur around it and to trim it. Well... as you can see he was cut so much he looks like a rat. I'm upset and I think he is too!
