We were so excited to stumble on chewy's bonetique. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and asked what type of dog breed we had at home. We told the representative that our dog was pretty picky with snacks and treats, and we were made sample treat pouches that we could go home and give to him to find what he liked the most. We have never been treated so well in a store before and offered options to take home and try first. This was amazing. While we were at the bonetique, we noticed that there was a dog meet up, which was extremely cute. I definitely recommend chewy's Bonetique. They had many Colorado made treats for dogs. I've been coming here for two years, ever since we rescued our senior dog. They have some of the best and unique single-ingredient and specialty dog food and treats anywhere. The prices are reasonable, but then again our dog is small and so is his appetite so we don't spend a ton. He has a sensitive system, and he happily eats anything we buy here. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, and will answer just about any question you have about dogs and their nutrition. Today was the first time I took advantage of their nail clipping service. It is offered as a walk in service and it will run you 20 dollars with an option to tip. Elias did our dog's nails today, no easy task since he's a little fussy with his feet, but Elias was quick and efficient, and oh so loving to our little old guy. It costs less than our vet and a little more than the big chain pet stores, but Chewy's is located so close to our house that I think it evens out just fine. read more

There are not enough good things to say about this place! The staff are extremely knowledgeable about the products they carry, and take their time to explain anything you have questions about. Some brands send samples so always ask if you have a picky dog like we do (she's more bougie really) the samples have saved us a ton of money on products she won't eat. My dog doesn't love baths, but the self-service bathtubs at Chewy's makes giving them much easier. If you have a smaller dog they have platform for the dog to stand on so you don't have to lean over/hurt your back. Again, can't say enough about this place, they are wonderful & we will continue to shop here. read more

I have been bringing my senior shi-doodle here to get groomed every 2 months for the past 3 years. All the employees are very dog friendly and there's usually a dog behind the cashier counter- once they even let my pup hang out there after they were done with his grooming! He always looks great after and they are always careful yet expedient. Small shop grooming is hard to find but if you can get on the waitlist or they have openings, I cannot more highly recommend them for this service. The shop itself is cozy. They have a great variety of treats, necessary pet accessories, and a variety of dog food brands. read more

I work with a rescue regularly and I tend to get the special needs ones. Typically the paralyzed dogs from breeders and the like. My first dog was a paralyzed Frenchie and she loved coming to this place. It was a birthday tradition that I would bring her cookies or bring her in to pick out whatever treat she wanted. Earlier this year, I had one of the most severe abuse cases I've ever seen with this rescue. He was underweight, spine broken from physical abuse and lessons all over his body. I went in desperate for a belly band or diaper. We didn't have any luck in that department which is a bummer. But I decided to spoil the little guy with treats instead. As I'm checking out, I mention to the two people behind the counter what I was dealing with and shoved a hand full of local treat bags into my bag. Wishing him well and asked me to send him their love. Frenchies don't require a ton of grooming so I don't use that Service, but they never fail me in the treat, toy or costume department. I've never had anything but friendly service here. And I usually love to interact with the store dogs who are super well behaved. read more

Chewy's is such a lovely neighborhood pet store, and my go-to for my Great Dane's grooming needs. Their self-serve dog wash is my main reason for going, and they just make it so easy! The staff is always so welcoming and friendly, true dog lovers, and I have never had to wait for one of the dog wash tubs. The staff is always happy to see my dog, and readily available for us! The dog wash is so easy and convenient - the tubs are nice and spacious, always cleaned before use, and they provide everything that you need: apron, shampoo, towels, ear cleaner, face cleaner, brush, blow dryer, and dog treats! My dog doesn't mind at all when we go - she loves the staff, and secretly loves the bath I think. Today we got her nails trimmed for the first time, and WOW, I am so bummed it took me this long to have her nails professionally trimmed! The gentleman who took care of my dog was so gentle, so kind, and took such great care of her! I anticipated my dog to not allow a stranger to trim her nails, but the gentleman was able to successfully get it done! And her nails looked better than they ever have! We recently found Chewy's when we were looking up somewhere to get stuff for our 3 year old dog's birthday, and Chewy's did not disappoint. They had cookies, cakes, toys, hats, doggy ice cream, etc. Everyone at this store was so nice and very knowledgeable about their products! They helped us find a durable toy that would last more than 5 minutes for our lab that loves to chew stuff up! We've been back since, and their customer service is unbeatable! I had just got a new puppy the day before and found this place to be really close to where I live. Since my puppy really needed a bath called them on the 31st of December knowing that they might be closed or booked for the whole day. To my surprise they were open and were able to squeeze my puppy in for a bath. When we arrived we were treated right away. Since the lady who was going to be give the bath was still cleaning up the space after the last appointment we didn't have a problem browsing the store. The puppy we got is an Italian greyhound who desperately needed booties for night time below freezing walks. One of the ladies who worked there was extremely helpful. She got the little stepping chair and started to pull every brand of booties down for us. She didn't mind that we were going to be trying them all on. It was a relief hearing that they carry extra small accessories! After the bath we got our iggy back in 45 mins she got her nails trimmed and she smelled 100 times better then I could imagine. We purchased two pairs of booties, hat, treats and the bath. Everything came out to only closing us $70 which is insanely cheep for a boutique store! They also gave us some samples of food to take home. I would recommend anyone with a small dog to visit this store. read more

I've been coming in for a few years now. Always 5 stars, ALWAYS!!! I have no clue what is up with this place now but today will likely be my last visit. Not really sure if they are hiring family members or people of the street but the "groomers" are anything but! The last few times my dogs nails are not getting trimmed as they have for YEARS...I keep getting told they get too close as it is. But it's ALWAYS coming from the younger employees. Never the older "experienced" groomers. Today is a different story. My dog and I were sitting outside waiting our turn. This young man comes walks right up to my dog and I puts a collar around his neck...and immediately my dog is being strangled. He jumps into my lap trying to figure out why this strange man without ZERO warning is now trying to yank on him. I get MY collar off him confused if this was going to be from the outside Ll the way in ......and the guy starts literally dragging my dog all the way inside. While my dog is being dragged and strangled I'm trying to follow behind to make it seem not so scary being that we've been coming here for years and never experienced anything like this.....I'm pushing my dog so that he's not choking. Hoping if I am behind him, he'll realize this is where we go once a month. No big deal....but this time....He's scared....I get that but what in the ??? To boot...I wait 7 mins tops.....this young kid comes out and says (again while my dog is being STRANGLED trying to get to me)......"Ya he was a little snippy, had to muzzle him" ...I said WHAT, we've been coming here for years and never ever heard that? His response...."Don't believe me, ask my co-worker". .......this is as I'm trying to wedge my fingers in between my dogs neck and the collar that is that tight around his neck. He's very lucky all I did was take my dog and go. I'm so beyond livid right now! So....again been coming here for years...always a 5 star! I'm so floored that I literally will be taking my money elsewhere. Completely unacceptable!!! Oh and one AGAIN my dogs nails are NOT trimmed. What a waste of money!!! I absolutely love this place. It's really cute inside and the staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I have cats with some sensitive tummy issues and I was given a lot of knowledge without feeling pressured or shamed about what I HAVE been feeding. This is important to me as some pet boutiques can make you feel bad about what you have been feeding your animals and other brands they don't sell. I felt no pressure or judgement and got amazing info. I was even given samples because I explained that my cats are really picky. My cats LOVED one of the samples and I will be going back. This place is near my house, but the prices are way different than another local store. I asked if they have Farmina in puppy & they don't carry it but can "order it" for me. Then tried to sell me on the "small bites". If I wanted to order it. I sure wouldn't be paying the price they are asking when I can get it $5 cheaper locally. Especially when Chewwys online can deliver to my front door as well! The store feels crammed and the prices are overall higher than anywhere else you look. I also overheard a store employee tell a customer her dog definitely "needed" to be on grain free. Yet she kept asking the other employee behind the counter questions about other formulas. It just didn't feel right. Sure if you know what your talking about. But NOT if you have to keep asking other store members for assistance to help you sell an item. I also buy raw bones for my pups frequently but their 1inch bones only come in a 10pack which would last my pup 2 years. & doesn't make sense for that size of a bone. Obviously it's for a smaller dog who won't have the chewing capacity of a larger pup. So no need to come back. They don't have anything I personally need! read more

I don't know where to start in my praise for Chewy's Bonetique. First of all, the people who work at the store are so helpful and knowledgeable and are very well acquainted with the products they carry. My Westie was having problems with his feet, he was licking them until they were so red and raw. We had been to the vets several times and spent $$$ to no avail. I related the problem to Nikki whose first instinct was to ask what food he was eating. It was a chicken based kibble he had loving for a couple of years. She suggested that chicken is a big cause of allergies in dogs and that I may want to try a different food along with a Tbsp. of keifer with each feeding. We switched to Farminga ND Lamb, got the keifer, threw out all the treats with chicken (I was amazed as I read the ingredients that almost all of his treats included chicken) and waited to see what happened. Within two weeks the paws were just fine and have been ever since. That is the kind of knowledge and care Chewy's Bontique offers to all their customers. It is my go-to place for information about my dogs, their food, and all the wonderful toys and doggie necessities which are great. Oh, and parking is easy! I love this place! read more

Today I used their self serve dog wash for the first time and it was amazing. I asked my husband several times to pick up dog food and he kept forgetting. Fast forward a few days, and of course when you run out of dog food, your regular dog food store is closed!!! We have a sweet pup that has severe allergies to chicken & beef but she has done well on Open Farm. Unfortunately Chewy's no longer carries that brand, BUT that did not stop them from doing everything they could to help us find a comparable dog brand that would tie us over until our regular dog food store opened the next day. I no longer have a dog; it's just my 14 yr old cat & me. Both of us are picky about the litter I use in the cat box. I'd tried almost every type that was available when, about 6 months ago, I decided to stop by Chewie's & see if they had anything different for me to try. Sure enough I found a locally sourced litter that is terrific, & the staff at the store helps keep it on hand for me for the frequent litterbox cleanings I do for my elderly cat. Everyone at the store or over the phone is polite, cheerful and helpful. The store itself is clean and pleasant to enter, I'm helped quickly and someone always willingly helps me to my car with those heavy bags of cat litter. When we lived in a house, it was easy to spray the dog off and bathe her outside. Moving to CO, our first apartment had a dedicated pet wash - which we found almost equally convenient. At our new place, we were faced with deciding which tub to try to wash the dog in. Luckily, we found Chewy's! Super convenient that they offer all supplies AND you don't have to get your back sore, leaning over your tub in your apartment. Not to mention deal with any clogged drains from the excessive dog hair. Their product smelled great and the employees were super friendly. We were even able to buy her fish oil at a great price. Easy to maneuver and find what you need even during prime hours. It's nestled in the Lowry Town Center off Quebec which is easy to find with good parking. Town center also has a variety of shops including a large grocer which makes it convenient for running errands and stopping by for your fur baby needs. Every employee with whom I've spoken has educated me on proper nutrition for my Goldendoodle and all is backed by science. No one has pushed me to any specific product, just offered information. I've taken my dog here about four times now for a self-service bath, and I really like Chewy's. The staff is really friendly (sometimes I've found at other fancy pet stores the staff is stuck up). I think $15 for a self-wash is very reasonable and they help get your dog set up; provide everything you need so you don't have to dirty your own bathtub to wash your dog. The location is really nice. It's in the middle of a really nice shopping center in Lowry so no worries if you need to wait a few minutes for a bath to open - you can easily walk around, get a coffee to kill some time. I haven't bought much product here, but they have a large selection and any king of specialty dog food/treats you might be looking for. read more

While I admit I am a huge supporter of another local dog and cat supply store, I am a huge fan of Chewy's! I support local businesses as much as entirely possible in my life. However, I will say that I am hugely particular where I spend my money when it comes to animal food. I refuse to shop at big box stores who sell horribly sourced ingredients with many recalls with staff that have no clue on animal nutrition. At Chewy's they supply very responsibly sourced ingredients with smaller companies who truly care what goes into their food without trendy pictures of items that aren't actually in the food. You also will get personalized service with the staff at Chewy's being very well trained to assist you. I especially like that they have puzzle toys to help keep dogs mentally stimulated. The staff also seems to be well versed in positive reinforcement vs punitive training. This is HUGE and can't speak enough to this point! Many of their items are locally sourced as well. Don't forget when you check out to try their human treats by the register. Be warned...you may end up buying three bags of licorice like I did! I can not speak on behalf of their grooming but they offer that as well. Based on the responses I've witnessed by the owners picking up their nicely groomed pooches I'd say they get an A+ on that too. I've witnessed the groomers interactions with their customers and they really do care about your dog. As I mentioned earlier, I am very dedicated to the local store that I purchase from and have for over a decade. However, I go to Chewy's (which is much closer) when in need of items when it's not reasonable to make the trek across Denver. Ironically, the store I usually shop at has great things to say about Chewy's as well. They are cut from the same cloth and that's much appreciated when dealing with our non-human children. read more
