The beds are not uncomfortable, it's ratty looking but always pretty darn clean, the A/C is cold and the hot water is plentiful. My mother and I are big enough cheapskates to stay here and spend what we save on something else (like outlet shopping or IMAX).

Although our original boat was slightly delayed, Dylan quickly arranged for another one from a nearby marina within the hour--talk about service! He helped us with our fishing gear, offered great suggestions on where to cast our lines, and was just all-around incredibly helpful. Also, don't miss the Bent Hook Marina shop--excellent selection of souvenirs, refreshments, and any last-minute items you might need. Highly recommend!

It is much nicer and, to my surprise, close to a walking trail that overlooks the water. There is a fire pit and picnic area there with a BBQ grill as well. I saw a group enjoying another area by the pool where they had lights and another BBQ area. I've also discovered that they have jazz musicians in the lounge area on the weekends! It is wonderful to know that this hotel has more things to offer than just a room!

Our room had a Refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot with coffee & flat screen Tv. Housekeeping made sure our room was services daily with enough towels & amenities. (HUGE shot out to the housekeeping staff) The floors are laminated hardwood and housekeeping made sure they were clean. Overall housekeeping Exceeded expectations and made our stay away from home completely relaxing! Our Room was located 2 minutes from the main script. An easy 10 min walk to West 76 country blvd. The only thing missing is a dresser to unpack but it did have a standing closet & a lot of counter space. I was expecting a little more out of breakfast after reading the reviews. Breakfast consist of a small selection to choose from. Eggs, sausage, sausage links, The coffee was DELICIOUS and fresh with coffee mate creamers ETC! When I had an issue with my door not opening, instead of offering help or even a simple APOLOGY, the staff member (Elizabeth) told me to check out if I was unhappy. So I did--three days early. To be clear, I didn't leave because of the broken lock; I left because she told me to. She became defensive immediately at the first mention of a problem. Her first response was to tell me to leave. That is absolutely not an appropriate way for your employee to handle a legitimate customer complaint. While I was frustrated at the situation, I was not disrespectful. If she cannot handle complaints professionally, then perhaps she should consider another job. I have NEVER been asked to leave a hotel in my 60+ years!! I spent two days calling back, asking for a manager to return my call, and I'm STILL waiting, over a week later! No refund, no accountability, no customer care.

The good: Lighted parking for two cars right outside the bedroom windows. Cabin was in great shape. Full sized refrigerator and stove/oven, countertop sized microwave. Beds and linens are very comfortable. Big flat screen smart TV with internet. Good Wifi. Porch with picnic table, umbrella and chairs. Everything was perfectly clean. You do everything online, and they send you the code to your cabin door a day or two before you arrive. When it's time to leave, you just go, no need to go to the office. The so-so: We had a person who doesn't walk real well, and couldn't get down three stone steps to get down to the water. But... There is parking near the docks, so we drove from the cabin to the parking area, and it was fine. The could be better: Cabin 11 is small. The main bedroom has a Queen bed with a nightstand, and the other side was very narrow to squeeze between the bed and wall. The bed was large enough that the door couldn't swing past it to close. Not a deal breaker for us, but consider it if you need privacy. The bed looked like if you slid it all the way to the opposite wall the door might close, but I didn't try it. If you do that though, one of you will have to get on the bed at the foot end and crawl up. Not good for old folks with mobility issues. The shower is very small, like a phone booth. Think of a cruise ship shower, only square. Not optimum, but certainly functional. I liked the place, and won't hesitate to stay there again. Although I would likely not pick #11 again. I just wanted my review to be thorough.

Each cabin has a fridge, stove, oven, coffeemaker and any cooking equipment you may need. We stayed for 4 nights. With our kids ranging from 3-13 years old. They all loved being here. This will definitely be an annual tradition for us. The FoxFire is the best place we have stayed in Branson!

Friendly locals are usually hanging out & the owner might be there afternoons, with his big red parrot, which is pretty great to be around. Need I say that this place is Biker Friendly? Drinks menu is reasonably priced & the alcohol selection is respectable. Drinks are well poured, & served by seasoned pros, not hipster kids. No offence to the young, but often the 'cool' kids who work in popular bars are less cool than they realize. The bar maids here are some epic chicks, who've attended a "rodeo" or two. As bartenders & new friends, they made us feel at home & showed my little group a damn fine time, time after time. In the pub, there's also live music (no room to dance), not sure which nights - call & ask. I heard a lady named Sherry play her guitar & sing rock/folk songs in tones that would break your heart. Again, a seasoned pro. BE FOREWARNED: Placed outside the city limits, this is legally permitted to be a SMOKING bar. Don't go, if you don't like that. And don't write crappy reviews out of petty spite. Remember tolerance? Exercise it. You might like the 2nd bar upstairs at the pool(!). It's a jazzy little bar made of an old VW van & the view is pretty spectacular from up there, too. The whole place is built on top of a bluff overlooking Tablerock Lake. It's just gorgeous. The upper/pool bar is probably open at peak season only, so call ahead to know for sure. I wouldn't come to this pub specifically to eat, food is adequate for the drinking public, but not really a place worthy of 'eating out'. BUT for a drinking experience, it's unsurpassed locally. The mood is like a mixture of 'Chelsea's' & the 'Cat House' down in Eureka Springs. It's a super-cool vibe, ultra relaxing & fun, & if you get drunk, it's also a motel : ) so, Yay!
