We planned a father sons fishing trip with 2 other father and son duos. It was our 11 and 12 year olds first time to ever trout fish. We were told we would be able to wade out at the location. Unfortunately that was not true and the water drops off rapidly at the bank. That's ok, we fished from the bank. Only one trout was caught on our 3 days there but that's fishing. The amenities are a little less than you would expect given the price but again...it's a fishing cabin and certainly no resort. However, a mistake made during booking online is where our sub par experience turned to a terrible one. To keep it short and simple 2 kids under the age of 11 were left off of the online application. To which WE brought to the owners attention at check out only to have the owner state we were dishonest and charge an extra $240 to our trip. It is clear the owners here are not interested in your fishing experience but rather making as much money as they can while misrepresenting a so called grand fishing experience. I cannot in good faith recommend this place to anyone looking to catch fish from the bank, enjoy scenic White River views, or have a quality experience with family and friends.

The location is just off the river, so you can walk down and fish yards from your room. The main drag of Cotter is only a 5 minute driver or so, and I went there for breakfast at White Sands (excellent food) before heading down to the river. Stayed here in December, so it was cold. Not a lot of people though, and the fishing was excellent as usual here. Caught a bunch of fish before heading home. Bottom line, this is a solid spot to sleep, shower, and wind down from a busy day of fishing. Nice room, comfortable bed, and great location.

When I reached out to talk to someone to figure out what the charge was for, the first person i spoke to Maddie, stated she saw the charge and a signature that wasn't mine. She couldn't tell me who's it was though or what it was for. She also refused to tell me anything about the charge, except that it was someone from a different department that got my information from my file. I asked if its a charge to the room, shouldn't i have a check sheet to tell me extra charges. Maddie said yea we do that! to which i asked 'ok, why am I not getting that same treatment". This conversation lead no-where just that Manager would contact me. I thought either I lost my card in the room and the room service found it and tried to use it illegally or they are trying to charge my card for something I did not purchase (fraud). The Next morning a Manager named Ashley called and attempted to retract everything Maddie stated saying "she is new and doesn't know what she is talking about, there is not charge'. Even though i had proof in my email of a declined purchase on a frozen card from Surrey Vacation CO. She then tried to tell me that my card was never charged and refused to listen or except the evidence i was trying to show her. I asked to speak with the GM of the Hotel which I was told would call Friday and she/he has not called. At this point I have filed a police report for fraud on my debit card at their location. I can't believe they would try and cover something like this up instead of helping out a guest. It is ridiculous if they are covering for an employee that stole my information, it will come out and its also ridiculous if its just stupid room charge, why not just talk to me about that. I don't understand all the secrets. This kind of behavior makes me think they are hiding facts they don't ant to come out. Be careful staying here your information is up for anyone to get ahold.

We visited this resort last September for a weekend getaway. This was our first time in Branson…read moresince June 2019. Here are my takeaways: Location: Known as "The Townhouses," these are conveniently located right on the Brandon strip. This can be an issue during the day, as traffic can make it difficult to get onto the strip to get to the attractions. The address listed on some travel sites take you to a RV Park on the other side of town, so we had to do some digging for the actual address. Wool over our eyes: Check in was seem less, and we were able to check in early! However, we were directed to two people that basically swindled us into doing a timeshare with Capital Vacations for a discount on our stay. We sadly fell for it and it ended up being a disaster of an afternoon! If you come to this property, DO NOT DO IT. And avoid Capital Vacations AT ALL COSTS!! Pricing: Compared to other places near by, it was reasonably priced. We picked a three-bedroom townhome. For a Friday through Sunday stay, it totaled $388. Security: You are required to leave a copy your drivers license and license plate number with the front desk at checkout. They give you a sticker to put in your windshield for the weekend. If you have guests staying with you, they also get a sticker. I did not see security driving the complex, but it was nice to know they kept track of who are actual guests there. Amenities: They had a few activities, including sand volleyball, an outdated arcade, and a pool with enough chlorine in it to kill most of the animals in the ocean. They also have a community room where other guests can play games and unwind. We only used the pool but did not stay long, as it was way too chlorinated. Back down memory lane: The town homes are very outdated and reminds me of the late 90s and early aughts. The appliances, dining ware, and fixtures were older. The hot water was plentiful and there were plenty of towels left for the entire weekend. There was free Wi-FI but a limited selection on Tv channels, which made it difficult to keep the kids happy. The town home had a pullout bed in the living room area, which was also nice. The unit we picked said it slept ten people, which makes sense. It was very spacious and we loved the openness of the walk-in area. A deep clean: On the surface level, the townhome looked clean. However, it looked like it had not been deep cleaned in a long while. There was caked on dust and dirt on the backs of the bathroom doors, handprints on the walls, and one of the bedsheets had blood on them. The baseboards could use a good sanding and a fresh coat of paint. Bonus points for there not being any bed bugs, which we did check for before even taking any of our things in. The blinds and ceiling fans were pretty dusty as well. We saw the housekeeper pushing her cart to different units throughout the day, but did not notice she had been to our unit while we were gone during the day. I'm not sure if they only clean once people checkout or not. Checkout: Again, a very easy process. You leave the room key on the table and call down to the front desk to let them know you are leaving. Overall, I would not stay here again. It was a decent experience but there are more updated places to stay for the same price. Plus, their affiliation with Capital Vacations really put a sour taste in my mouth. I love the location of the property but they should consider at some point major upgrades and ending their affiliation with Capital Vacations.
