Tucker Ranch is a great park near downtown Winter Garden. They have ample parking, a large playground area, a flat walking trail, and nice picnic areas. It's a beautiful park and perfect for amateur photographers. We visited to take photos and there are so many great photo spots along the trail. We stopped at many spots including the bridge on the trailhead, along the tree covered walk, large area with tree stumps, by the small building, and in the grassy area. Perfect for family photos! We also saw birds, dragonflies, and other wildlife along the way so it's also a great spot for wildlife watching too.

Just discovered this gem! They have a beautiful playground for children that's located under a massive old oak tree that provides beautiful shade. There are tons of picnic tables, bathrooms and shade. My favorite part is the trail! You would never imagine how big and beautiful the space is from the little unassuming bridge that leads you back there. It's dog friendly and there's tons of poop stations with bags and garbage cans. Once you walk back there the trail is very wide and ample, mostly made of pebbles, sand or flat grass. There is a section made of gravel. The trail opens up to a beautiful open space where grand oak trees pop up from the ground. There's a beautiful old campsite house from the 60s, bricks left behind from the 1920s west orange country club and an area to launch your canoe/kayak. If launching canoe just keep in mind you have to walk it back there, probably a 20 minute walk to the launch from the parking lot. I absolutely loved this place and can't wait to go back for a picnic!

Fun park to walk your dog, longer trails that take you out to the old Country Club Ruins. Great picnic area to enjoy in the shade.

Wanted to get out and stretch a little so we took a walk through here. Great playground for kids. Small camping area that you have to hike to (reservations required) and there is also a canoe and kayak slip (again a hike). The trees are beautiful and the conservation area is so pretty. Would be great for senior photos, engagement photos, etc. good place to get out of the house for a while and just be with nature.

Tucker Ranch Recreation and Nature Park is a beautiful area in the west Orange County area. If you didn't know it was there, you'd completely miss it it's in the middle of residential areas. But no worries, you're GPS will be you there with no issues, at least mine did! I went here to check out the canoe and kayak launch area to see if I could paddle board there. It's definitely a nice area, but not ideal for me for SUP (stand up paddlboard) since there is no access to launch point by vehicle t and it would be quite a distance to carry your board. I don't mind a walk, but this would be too far for my taste. Parking is ample and the park is kept in nice condition. The trails are clearly marked with signs and there are boardwalks in some areas, along with gravel trails. There are also dog waste bags with waste receptacles so don't be a jerk like someone else was and not pick up your poop and have someone who is looking up and around at the beautiful scenery step in it. Yuck!!! (Seriously, it was gross.) There are picnic tables that make it a wonderful place to have a picnic lunch and they're located in a shady area so even when the weather is warmer, it should provide nice cover from the hot Florida sun. And the tables are spaced far enough to where you wouldn't feel crowded by another group. I did not see trash cans near the tables though, so be sure to take your garbage with you to where the parking is so you can discard your trash. There is a lovely playground with Adirondack style chairs for the parents to rest and relax while keeping an eye on the kiddos. And more covered picnic tables nearby as well. The restroom was clean and well maintained as well. The is a beautiful place to enjoy some outdoor time so go on and get out there!

Cute playground that's shaded and they have picnic tables that are both covered & on the trail under the trees! Nice trail & good for walking the dog :)

The website stated that here was a kayak launch. We drove out to location, saw the sign.....but no launch. Had to hike 10 min into the wood only to find no launch. Only thing completed here is a pavilion, playground and bathrooms. Nothing else.

It underwent a major renovation in 2021 where they added lots of amenities and made everything brand new. Even now, 5 years later, everything has been so well maintained and still feels like new. They have a free miniature golf putting course, an awesome splash pad, shaded playgrounds, basketball courts, and a nice nature walking path. You'll also find shaded picnic pavilions and a community garden. My son absolutely loves coming here. The parking lot can be a little tricky to find because my GPS using Google Maps never takes me to the right place. Don't let the location detour you from visiting. The neighborhood and the park is named after one of the earliest property owner's daughter's favorite novel, Lorna Doone, written by English author, Richard Doddridge Blackmore, published in 1869. Lake Lorna Doone was the site of the South's first integrated Little League Baseball game on August 9, 1955. The 1955 little league season was the first after US Supreme Court rulings had eliminated "separate but equal" conditions in the nation's schools and public parks. The Pensacola Jaycees were declared winners of their local district by Little League headquarters in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. When local officials would not allow them to play against the all-white teams they instead advanced to the Florida State Tournament which was held at Lake Lorna Doone Park. They ended up losing to host Orlando in the second round, 5-0 but they were welcomed by the hometown crowd and given encouragement. In 2021, 12 acre Lake Lorna Doone Park underwent an $8 million renovation. Added to the park was the nine hole Arnold Palmer Putting Experience, fitness stations, a playground, football fields, basketball courts, a splash pad and the Winnie Palmer Nature Trail. I especially liked the nature trail where I got to see native plants and wildlife. With the upgrades, this park now has all of the amenities needed to inspire a healthy, active lifestyle for the West Lakes families who live in this neighborhood and all who visit.

We had a free Saturday with perfect weather and wanted a great spot to take our son -- this park delivered in every way. Just a stone's throw from downtown Winter Garden, it's a hidden gem connected to the West Orange Trail, ideal for bike rides, stroller walks, or just a peaceful stroll under the shaded trees. The park itself is spotless and beautifully maintained, with plenty of open space and a relaxing atmosphere. It's a little big for our son right now, but we found a baby swing he loved, and exploring the mini garden with its pond and waterfall was such a nice touch. You can tell this park was thoughtfully designed for both kids and parents to enjoy. We'll definitely be returning for years to come as our son grows -- it's the kind of place that makes you want to spend all day outside.
